L/UL(Load/unload) mechanism has been widely used in SFF(Small form factor) HDD because L/UL technology has many advantages such as an increase of areal density, reduction of power consumption and improvement of shock resistance. In this system, the most important design goal is no slider-disk contact and fast air-hearing breaking during L/UL process. To do so, we should consider many design parameters related to L/UL system. The ramp shape is the most dominant component among parameters which dramatically affect the L/UL performance. This paper makes an advanced ramp model using ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Through this FE model, this paper investigates the effect of initial ramp slope and location of air-bearing breaking. From the experiment for three different ramps, we also verify that experimental results agree with simulation results. We conclude that the ramp design should have small ramp slope at the moment which a suspension tap contacts with ramp and large ramp slope after air-bearing breaking in order to improve L/UL Performance.
The efficiency of the purchasing and procurement logistics is important in automotive industry. The rationalization of production system is directly impact on productivity and quality. For this reason importance of logistics is high. Despite we are continuously making effort, our country are still below the level than developed country on logistics efficiency. Rising labor costs is an important factor in increasing logistics costs. So workforce reduction in logistics department is a large part. We deal with A-company inbound logistics, especially procurement logistics in automotive logistics as research object. So in this study we do research on work load balance about workers. We do research on 1,475 kinds of components in procurement process. We applied work load balance algorithm on chassis, final, sequence, trim warehouses workers. According to number of workers and average M/H, algorithm is applied in two ways. After applied work load balance algorithm we reduced numbers of workers from 28 to 20 and improved worker load balance rate from 47.1% to 93.7%.

In this study, structural safety capacity analysis of the overpass railway bridge between Konkuk Univ. and Guui station railroad has been performed. The overpass is expected to have suffered durability reduction by deterioration. The weight reduction of the overpass has been implemented to prevent further durability reduction and to improve performance capacity. To reduce the weight, 3 procedures of replacing concrete soundproofing wall to light-weight soundproofing wall, replacing gravel ballast to concrete ballast, and reducing the weight of trough have been performed. The analysis of static/dynamic behaviors and improved capacity of the light-weighted overpass bridge has been performed. The structural safety verification of the improved structure has been implemented by using rating factors of load carrying capacity of PSC I girder. The results have shown that the deflection has been reduced by 2.6mm and tensile strength has been improved by 1.07MPa, which indicate that the structural capacity has effectively been improved. Also, the natural frequency has improved by approximately 30% where vibration reduction and dynamic behavior improvement have been achieved. Moreover, in the rating factor evaluation based on analysis and test results, an improvement from 1.82 to 1.93 has been observed. Therefore, weight reduction method for the overpass is effective considering overall results.
A new damage detection technique using static displacement data was developed, in order to assess the structural integrity of bridge structures. In conventional damage assessment techniques using dynamic response, the variation of natural frequencies is intrinsically insensitive to the damage of the bridge: thus, it is usually difficult to obtain them from the measured data. The proposed detection method enables the estimation of the stiffness reduction of bridges using the static displacement data that are measured periodically, without requiring a specific loading test. Devices such as a laser displacement sensor can be used to measure static displacement data due to the dead load of the bridge structure. In this study, structural damage was represented by the reduction in the elastic modulus of the element. The damage factor of the element was introduced to estimate the stiffness reduction of the bridge under consideration. Likewise, the proposed algorithm was verified using various numerical simulations and compared with other damage detection methods. The effects of noise and number of damaged elements on damage detection were also investigated. Results showed that the proposed algorithm efficiently detects damage on the bridge.
The lateral strength test of bending type was done to investigate the lateral capacity of the double bolt connection of domestic larix glulam according to bolt spacing. In the shear specimen, which is bolted connection in the inserted plate type, the hole of bolt was made, changing the diameter of bolt (12 mm and 16 mm), the number of bolt (single bolt : control and double bolt), the direction of bolt row (in parallel to grain : Type-A and in perpendicular to grain : Type-B) and the bolt spacing (Type-A : 4 d and 7 d and Type-B : 3 d and 5 d). Lateral capacity and failure mode of bolt connection were compared according to conditions. In prototype design (KBCS, 2000), the reduction factor of the allowable shear resistance that the bolt spacing is reduced was calculated. The results were as follows. 1) Bearing stress per bolt in the single and double bolt connection of Type-A was directly proportional to bolt diameter and bolt spacing. Bearing stress of Type-B decreased as bolt diameter was increased, and decreased by 2~10% when bolt diameter was increased. 2) In the single bolt connection and the double bolt connection of Type-A, the splitted failure was formed in the edge direction. When the bolt spacing was 3 d in Type-B, bolt was yielded more in the part of tension than in the part of compression, and the splitted failure started at the bolt in the part of tension. In the 5 d spacing specimen, the bolt in the part of tension was yielded similarly to bolt in the part of compression, and the splitted failure started in the part of compression. 3) In the prototype design, the reduction factor was calculated by non-dimensionizing the yielding load in the standard of bolt spacing (Type A : 7 d and Type B : 5 d). In 12 mm bolt connection, the reduction factor of bolt spacing 4 d (type-A) and single bolt connection was 0.87 and 0.55, respectively, and the reduction factor of bolt spacing 3 d (Type-B) and single bolt connection was 0.91 and 0.55, respectively. In 16 mm bolt connection, the reduction factor of bolt spacing 4 d (type-A) and single bolt connection was 0.96 and 0.76, respectively, and the reduction factor of bolt spacing 3 d (Type-B) and single bolt connection was 0.91 and 0.77, respectively.

This paper presents a method to enhance the load carrying capacity for a two-span continuous steel-concrete composite beam strengthened with external tendons. The tendon is placed at the bottom of steel beam where the positive bending moment occurs. This results in the reduction of the negative bending moment as well as the positive bending moment. This paper describes the procedure to determine the number of tendon and the initial tendon force for the target rating factor in the rating factor equation. An example beam is given to demonstrate the proposed procedure, and it validity is confirmed.
This study generalizes the lateral load-displacement relationship of reinforced concrete shear walls from the section analysis for moment-curvature response to straightforwardly evaluate the flexural capacity and ductility of such members. Moment and curvature at different selected points including the first flexural crack, yielding of tensile reinforcing bar, maximum strength, 80% of the maximum strength at descending branch, and fracture of tensile reinforcing bar are calculated based on the strain compatibility and equilibrium of internal forces. The strain at extreme compressive fiber to determine the curvature at the descending branch is formulated as a function of reduction factor of maximum stress of concrete and volumetric index of lateral reinforcement using the stress-strain model of confined concrete proposed by Razvi and Saatcioglu. The moment prediction models are simply formulated as a function of tensile reinforcement index, vertical reinforcement index, and axial load index from an extensive parametric study. Lateral displacement is calculated by using the moment area method of idealized curvature distribution along the wall height. The generalized lateral load-displacement relationship is in good agreement with test result, even at the descending branch after ultimate strength of shear walls.
An app that users can conveniently use has been an explosive increase in the emergence of smart devices, including smart phones. However, the advent of various smart appliances operating systems, acting as an inhibitory factor to the development of the application. Accordingly, there has been a growing interest in HTML5 that can simultaneously support various platforms. HTML5 using the browser is used in the most innovative way of cross-platform. However, it does not show the complete compatibility for now. Depending on the browser of the environment, the difference between the initial load time of Web pages out. Therefore, to understand the cause of slowing down the browser-specific initial load time through the analysis of HTML5, JavaScript and CSS. Look for ways that can further improve the initial load rate.

In this paper, the live load model for the design of high-speed railway bridge is analyzed by statistic and probabilistic methods and the safety level that is given by the load factors of the load combination is analyzed. This study is a part of the development of the limit state design method for the railway bridge, and the train data collected from the Gyeongbu high-speed railway for about one month are utilized. The four different statistical methods are applied to estimate the design load to match the bridge design life and the results are compared. In order to examine the safety level that the design load combination of the railway bridge gives, the reliability indexes are determined and the results are analyzed. The load effect from the current design live load for the high-speed rail bridge which is 0.75 times of the standard train load is came out greater than at least 30-22% that from the estimated load from the measured data. If it is judged based on the ultimate limit state, there is a possibility of additional reduction of the safety factors through the reliability analysis.

This study was conducted to propose a simple method to evaluate the load-carrying capacity of RC slab bridges, which have been most frequently constructed in Korea. A number of RC slab bridges have been considerably deteriorated associate with the long service year. However, since these bridges are not included in the 1st and 2nd class infrastructures due to their short span length, they have been relatively neglected compared to other bridge types in terms of safety management. In the previous theoretical study, a process (draft) was proposed for evaluating the damage of RC slab bridges using the relationship between the displacement response ratio and the stiffness reduction rate derived by the measured displacement and natural frequency. In this paper, to verify the validity of the proposed damage evaluation process (draft), the results to the actual bridges were compared with the safety grade and the Matsui's deterioration index. In addition, to enhance the practical applicability of the existing process (draft), an improved method approximately evaluating the load-carrying capacity using only the measured natural frequency was presented. If an error of 10% of the load-carrying capacity is allowed, it is judged that the proposed damage evaluation process can be appropriately used not only for evaluating the safety of RC slab bridges, but also for determining priorities for their maintenance.
