Retail stores with a primary competitive advantage in satisfying customers with high quality differentiated services depend heavily on a sales force to produce and deliver services in a consistent manner. Salespersons in a high service retail context are required to act to express certain types of emotion in compliance with the emotional rules of the organization that is conceptualized as "emotional labor" in the literature. This study adopts the dyadic model of emotional labor originally proposed by Hochschild. A survey method is implemented to collect data to test the hypotheses among the variables such as positive and negative affectivity, performance stressor, emotional labor, burnout, and job satisfaction. One hundred and twelve responses were analyzed by factor analysis and path analysis with SPSS12.0 and Amos 6.0. The factor analysis confirms that emotional labor is composed of deep acting and surface acting. Eleven hypotheses were tested by path analysis and seven were accepted. The major findings are that deep acting was affected by positive affectivity, negative affectivity, and a performance stressor. The surface acting was affected only by negative affectivity. Surface acting had an indirect negative effect on job satisfaction via emotional burnout while deep directly acting influenced job satisfaction. Furthermore, the interaction effect between positive affectivity and a performance stressor on surface acting was significant. The implications for retail firms are discussed based on the findings with suggestions for future studies.
Objectives: This study aimed to analyze research literature, created over the past 10 years, on occupational stress among domestic dental hygienists and identify the major factors affecting occupational stress. Methods: Of the 192 articles found through literature searches, 26 were selected for the analysis after reviewing titles, abstracts, and full texts. General characteristics of each study, measurement tools employed, and data related to pertinent factors were systematically analyzed. Results: Seven instruments were utilized to measure job stress. Among the variables exhibiting positive correlation with occupational stress, turnover intention was the most prevalent, while variables showing negative correlation were predominantly associated with job satisfaction. Factors influencing occupational stress included emotional labor, workload, organizational social capital, and experiencing verbal abuse. Conclusions: With regard to the most influential factors, "emotional labor" and "turnover intention" had the greatest impacts on job stress and occupational stress, respectively. Based on the findings of this study, follow-up research needs to be conducted to suggest ways to prevent, manage, and reduce occupational stress among dental hygienists

Nursing majors are a combination of theoretical and practical education, and since the advisor cannot participate in all practices in clinical practice, the efficiency and effectiveness of practical education are limited in judging the results according to students' reactions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the domestic literature on the efficiency of clinical practice of nursing college students. The analysis target was selected through PRISMA flow, and the results were derived through categorization and questioning based on content analysis. Looking at the results, research related to the adaptation of trainees was mainstream, and specifically, research related to the characteristics, conflicts, clinical practice environment, and interpersonal anguish of trainees was conducted. In addition, it was confirmed that active and systematic intervention of practical guidance professors was required, such as possible safety accidents, emotional labor problems, and dilemmas during the practice period. Through this study, it is suggested that a systematic framework for nursing and clinical practice should be prepared.

The COVID-19 pandemic has unprecedented impacts on different sectors around the globe. The effects observed in developing countries are even more severe. Some projects stopped while many have cost and time overrun issues. This paper conducted a case study on the COVID-19's effects on a hotel construction project in Nepal. The study reviewed the literature on COVID-19 and its impact on construction sectors and conducted a semi-structured interview with the project's personnel. The interview response was analysed and the contributing factors that impacted the project and its performance were identified. The paper found financial, operational, contractual, safety, and risk management issues in the hotel project. Overall, the project cost increased by 32% where the material cost increased by 35% and labor cost increased by 28%. This research discusses causes, measures, and provides a broad perspective of the problems, significant challenges, and opportunities associated with the effects of COVID-19 on the construction industry. The Owner as well as the Contractors incurred added costs because of COVID-19. The paper identified contributing factors and presented the challenges which could be used as opportunities to minimize unforeseen impacts of the pandemics in near future. The lesson learned from this case study was that the labor cost and materials cost could have been minimized if the Owner and the Contractor had established alternative resources such as using locally available labor, materials, and alternative suppliers.
The purposes of this paper are to examine the effect of emotional intelligence and logic intelligence on organizational citizenship behavior and to examine the moderating effect of intelligence labor on these relationship. For these purposes, literature review and survey research were conducted. The 420 questionnaires were sent to the 12 manufactural firms in the Busan and Kyungsang Nam-Do region for empirical analysis. Total 363 usable responses were collected(effective response rate : 86.40%). The major findings of the empirical research are as follows ; First, emotional intelligence and logic intelligence have positive influence organizational citizenship behavior. but emotional intelligence have more positive influence than logic intelligence on organizational citizenship behavior. Second, emotional intelligence has differential influence on organizational citizenship behavior by emotional labor, but logic intelligence hasn't that. In conclusion, emotional intelligence is expected to improve organizational citizenship behavior which is extra-role behavior in an organization. Therefore, managers have to develop organizational citizenship behavior by exhibiting emotional intelligence, considering emotional labor.

The COVID-19 pandemic is having an adverse impact on Bangladesh's economy by affecting millions of people's life and hampering their income sources. The outbreak of COVID-19 has created more pressure on the labor market. The pandemic reduces employment opportunities as most of the companies have stopped their recruitment process to cut their operational costs, which increases the rate of graduate unemployment in Bangladesh. Hence, this study aims to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on graduate employability in Bangladesh that adversely affects the income of families and eventually the nation's economy. A literature review has been conducted from secondary sources to evaluate the impact, which shows that the rate of graduate unemployment increased from 47% to 58% in 2020 with an expected annual loss estimated at $53 million. Findings also reveal that the prime reasons for graduate employability are low demand and huge supply of graduates in the labor market, lack of professional skills of graduates, ineffective education system, etc. The study suggests that the government of Bangladesh should develop some policies to overcome this problem such as ensuring employment subsidies, implementing skills development programs, improving labor market flexibility, initiating credit programs for generating employment, and developing entrepreneurial ecosystems in Bangladesh.
This study aims to suggest a new perspective that can account for variations in fertility rates across OECD countries. Most previous literature has highlighted the influence of government policies on fertility rates. This study focuses the role of job strain, unequal division of household labor, and life satisfaction on fertility rates. These factors are related to work-life balance, and play a crucial role in understanding variations in fertility rates across OECD countries. Using fuzzy set qualitative comparative research analysis (fsQCA), this study tests whether fertility rates can be explained by differences in the levels of job strain, gender equality at home, and life satisfaction across countries. The results are as follows: First, high fertility-countries show low levels of job strain, equal division of household labor, high levels of life satisfaction, and high levels of GDP. Second, a high level of GDP is not crucial for achieving high fertility rates. This study suggests that changes in working conditions and organizational culture are required to increase the fertility rate in Korea, since this can influence work-life balance, life satisfaction and equal division of household labor.
This article examines technological innovation's impact on the game production field and on the developers' subjectivity and labor. It focuses on the appearance of the new stage of digitalization via mobile devices during the period when the leading sector of game industry rapidly shifted to Mobile games. Though the in-depth interview with the game developers, this article explores the changes in organizational and management approaches and in the developers' experience and perception of their labor. Given the serious shortage of the related literature, I believe this analysis could provide a new perspective in understanding the gameswork of specific time and location.

This study based on TAM and D&M model to examine the Kuwaiti employee performance using the electronic document and records management system (EDRMS) in the Ministry of social affairs and labor. Additionally, this study has proposed the moderating effect of work cooperation on employee performance Data of 345 employees were collected from Ministry of social affairs and labor in Kuwait. Smart PLS 3.0 was used to analyze the data. Results indicated that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have a positive influence on employee performance. However, findings do not support the relationship between system usage and user satisfaction. Additionally, the results show that there is a significant positive moderating effect of work cooperation. This research provides strong evidence for defining the key factors affecting system usage but also in view of its limits. It should be evaluated. Not all the factors affecting the intentions of end-users to use EDRMS have been fully covered. There are major variables, for example, facilitating state and perceived compatibility are important factors that can be covered in future research. This research is an addition to the current literature and the first attempt in this area to the best of authors' knowledge.
