  • Objective : This study aimed to provide an overview of task-oriented approaches for children with developmental coordination disorder, including its definition, diagnosis, causes, and assessment, through a literature review. Subject : Eighteen international articles published between January 2000 and September 2023 were analyzed to explore the intervention strategies of Neuromotor Task Training (NTT) and Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP). The objectives of the interventions mentioned in the reviewed articles were categorized according to the criteria of the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework-4 (OTPF-4). The results showed that NTT more frequently set goals in the area of client factors, while CO-OP set goals only in the area of occupation. This difference in goal setting can be explained by the strategy differences between the two interventions. Conclusion : A broader and deeper understanding of strategies for interventions with task-oriented approaches to developmental coordination disorder can increase awareness of the disorder and provide a more solid basis for evidence-based practice.

  • Objective: Endovascular coil embolization is the primary treatment modality for intracranial aneurysms. However, its long-term durability remains of concern, with a considerable proportion of cases requiring aneurysm reopening and retreatment. Therefore, establishing optimal follow-up imaging protocols is necessary to ensure a durable occlusion. This study aimed to develop guidelines for follow-up imaging strategies after endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms. Methods: A committee comprising members of the Korean Neuroendovascular Society and other relevant societies was formed. A literature review and analyses of the major published guidelines were conducted to gather evidence. A panel of 40 experts convened to achieve a consensus on the recommendations using the modified Delphi method. Results: The panel members reached the following consensus: 1. Schedule the initial follow-up imaging within 3-6 months of treatment. 2. Noninvasive imaging modalities, such as three-dimensional time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) or contrast-enhanced MRA, are alternatives to digital subtraction angiography (DSA) during the first follow-up. 3. Schedule mid-term follow-up imaging at 1, 2, 4, and 6 years after the initial treatment. 4. If noninvasive imaging reveals unstable changes in the treated aneurysms, DSA should be considered. 5. Consider late-term follow-up imaging every 3-5 years for lifelong monitoring of patients with unstable changes or at high risk of recurrence. Conclusions: The guidelines aim to provide physicians with the information to make informed decisions and provide patients with high-quality care. However, owing to a lack of specific recommendations and scientific data, these guidelines are based on expert consensus and should be considered in conjunction with individual patient characteristics and circumstances.

  • Papillomaviruses infect a wide variety of animals, including humans. The human papillomavirus (HPV), in particular, is one of the most common causes of sexually transmitted disease. More than 200 types of HPV have been identified by DNA sequence data, and 85 HPV genotypes have been well characterized to date. HPV can infect the basal epithelial cells of the skin or inner tissue linings, and are, accordingly, categorized as either cutaneous or mucosal type. HPV is associated with a panoply of clinical conditions, ranging from innocuous lesions to cervical cancer. In the early 1980s, studies first reported a link between cervical cancer and genital HPV infection. Genital HPV infections are now recognized to be a major risk factor in at least $95\%$ of cervical cancers. 30 different HPV genotypes have been identified as causative of sexually transmitted diseases, most of which induce lesions in the cervix, vagina, vulva, penis, and anus, as the result of sexual contact. There is also direct evidence demonstrating that at least four of these genotypes are prerequisite factors in cervical cancer. The main aim of this review was to evaluate the current literature regarding the pathovirology, diagnostics, vaccines, therapy, risk groups, and further therapeutic directions for HPV infections. In addition, we reviewed the current status of HPV infections in South Korean women, as evidenced by our data.

  • Objectives: Although many cities have adopted Healthy Cities approach in Republic of Korea, few studies have been reported about city health profile. So we report a case of city health profile made of subjective indexes and objective indicators using available recent evidence. Methods: To assess subjective city health indexes, questionnaire survey was implemented to public officers and citizen adapting the 'Signs of progress, signs of caution of 12 stage tool from Ontario Healthy Community Coalition. Based on recent literature objective city health indicators were collected for time-series comparison and for the comparison with those of larger province mainly using Korean Statistical Information Service. Results: Subjective city health indexes were successfully constructed in four areas including human health, environment, social and economic area. The score was especially low in environmental area. Specific items in each area for improvement were identified. Objective city health indicators were collected for three year time-series comparison and for the compared with those of larger province. Conclusions: City health profile comprised of subjective city health indexes and objective city health indicators could successfully be made from primary survey and secondary data in a medium-sized Korean city. That City health profile was useful in subsequent city health planning through participatory process.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the Job Functional Assessment Scale. This study was involved took third steps. First, 93 preliminary items were developed based on theoretical literature and International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) Model. To verify the content validity, 3 rehabilitation experts rated those items. Second, the scale consisting of 73 items was administered to sample of 880 people with disabilities. Finally, items of the scale were reduced to 58 items. Factor analysis showed evidence of construct validity of the scale. Internal consistency (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$) of total score showed .94 and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of 7 subfactor demonstrated .74~.90. Thus, Job Functional Assessment Scale demonstrated satisfactory convergent validity and discriminant validity. In addition, the practical use of the scale was discussed.

  • What has been the contribution of industrial innovation to economic growth? Typically, the issue has been approached with growth-accounting methods augmented to include a "stock of knowledge". An independent estimate of the rate of return to R&D is found in order to impute patents granted to the accumulation of knowledge. Griliches(1973) then uses a regression approach to assess the effect of an R&D variable on the computed TFP growth rate. The regression coefficient on the R&D variable would provide an estimate of the social rate of return to R&D. The related studies tend to show high social rates of return to R&D, typically in a range of 20 to 40 % per year. We need to provide multiple equation dynamic system for productivity and innovation in Korean economy in state space form. A wide range of time series models, including the classical linear regression model, can be written and estimated as special cases of a state space specification. State space models have been applied in the econometrics literature to model unobserved variables like productivity. Estimation produces the following results. Considering the goodness of fit, we can see that the evidence is strongly in favor of the range $0.120{\sim}0.135$ for the elasticity of TFP to R&D stock in the period between 1970's and the early 2000's.

  • Kombucha tea(KT) is sugared black tea fermented with a symbiotic culture of acetic acid bacteria and yeasts, which is said to be tea fungus. KT is claimed to have various beneficial effects on human health, but there is very little scientific evidence available in the literature. In the present study, KT along with black tea(BT) and black tea manufactured with tea fungus enzymes(enzyme-processed tea, ET) were evaluated for hepatoprotective and curative properties against $CCl_4$-induced toxicity, using male albino rats as an experimental model by analyzing aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase, and alkaline phosphatase in plasma and malondialdehyde content in plasma and liver tissues. Histopathological analysis of liver tissue was also included. Results showed that BT, ET, and KT have the potential to revert the $CCl_4$-induced hepatotoxicity. Among the three types of teas tried, KT was found to be more efficient than BT and ET. Antioxidant molecules produced during the fermentation period could be the reason for the efficient hepatoprotective and curative properties of KT against $CCl_4$-induced hepatotoxicity.

  • Objectives : The research of dental hygiene has made considerable progress over the past 10 years toward developing a unique body of knowledge for guiding education, practice, and profession. The purpose of this study was to determine Barriers to Research Utilization among Dental Hygiene Researchers. Methods : This study used cross-sectional design, self-reported questionnaire. That was consisted of 31 items(5 categories), reliability was tested(Cronbach's Alpha=0.882). The subjects were 117, mean age was $36.1{\pm}9.3$. They were consisted of full-time faculty (35.9%) and the doctoral course(61.0%). Results : The greatest barriers in dental hygiene research were 'Dental hygienists are isolated from knowledgeable colleagues with whom to discuss with' in Dental Hygienist category and 'The facilities are inadequate for implementation' in setting. In Research category, 'the research has not been replicated' and 'the relevant literature is not complied in one place' in presentation were the greatest. The researchers who were the twenty's, received dental hygiene license after 2000 year and studying for the master's degree had more barriers in all categories significantly. Conclusions : This finding provided evidence that there are barriers in dental hygiene research and we found the junior researchers have more difficulties. To improve this barriers, dental hygiene related associations need to focus on the research utilization and encourage them to attend conferences. In addition, research related education should be provided to them. Further study is essential to investigate the barriers for the established researchers in dental hygiene and to find specific solutions.

  • In the Janggun mine, stannite occurs as anhedral grains, up to 500 micrometer in long dimension, closely associated with sphalerite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite, galena and rhodochrosite in the periphery of the South ore body. In reflected light, stannite is grayish yellow green in color and exhibits moderate bireflectance and strong anisotropism without any intenal reflections. Reflection; Rmax. =29.0, Rmin. =27.8 percent at a wavelength of 560nm, and VHN; 219~244kg/mm at a 50g load. The chemical composition on the average from 35 spot analyses by electron microprobe is, Cu 28.0, Fe 12.7, Zn 2.9, Mn 0.2, Sn 25.8, S 30.3, sum 99.9 (all in weight percent); the corresponding chemical formula as calculated on the basis of total atoms=8 is, Cu 1.88 Fe 0.97 Zn 0.19 Mn 0.02 Sn 0.93 S 4.01, which fulfills approximately the ideal formula of $Cu_2FeSnS_4$. The strongest reflections on the X-ray diffraction patterns are; $3.10{\AA}$ (10) (112), $2.72{\AA}$ (5) (020, 004), $1.922{\AA}$ (5) (024), $1.642{\AA}$ (3) (132), $1.244{\AA}$ (3) (143, 136, 235), $1.111{\AA}$(3) (244), $0.958{\AA}$ (1) (048, 422), the patterns are identical with those of literature. From the textural evidence of the microscopic observation, the mineral is considered to have been formed at the middle stage of hydrothermal lead-zinc-silver mineralization.
