구름에서의 다중산란효과 계산 및 이를 이용한 구름 물리변수 원격 추출 방법 연구 (Calculation of Multiple Scattering in Water Cloud and Application in Remote Measurement of Cloud Physical Properties)

  • 구름에서의 다중산란 효과는 Mie 산란현상을 이용하는 탄성산란 라이다에서 그 해를 구하는데 있어서, 매우 중요한 오차요인으로 작용하기 때문에 이 효과를 보정하는 것은 그 자체만으로도 매우 중요하다. 이를 위하여 구름에서 다중산란되는 현상을 Monte Carlo 방법으로 계산하였으며, 이 결과를 적용하여 물방울 구름의 총량과 유효입자크기를 추출하는 방법을 제안하였다. 구름의 유효입자 크기가 $2.5{\mu}m$ 이하일 경우엔 355 nm나 1064 nm에서 얻은 두 파장의 소광계수로 쉽게 그 값들을 구할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 크기가 큰 경우엔 라이다 신호의 안정화된 선형편광도가 유효입자크기, 총량, 그리고 소광계수와 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 이 관계를 통하여 큰 입자의 경우에도 라만 라이다와 편광 라이다를 이용한다면 유효입자크기와 총량을 구할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Evaluation of dry feeding and liquid feeding to lactating sows under high temperature environment

  • Background: Liquid feeding system has been introduced to domestic swine farms, but negative cognition about liquid feeding system has been remained for feed waste decay related with poor management and microbial contamination. For these reasons, this study was conducted to evaluate the effects of feeding method in lactating sows. Methods: A total of 30 mixed-parity (average 4.13) lactating sows (Yorkshire ${\times}$ Landrace) with an initial BW of $218.8{\pm}19.5kg$ was used in a 3 week trial. Sows were allotted to 1 of 2 treatments in a completely randomized design by their body weight, backfat thickness, parity and alive litter weight. One of treatments was dry feeding and the other was liquid feeding (water to feed ratio, 1:1). Experimental diets contained 3265 kcal ME/kg, 12.6 % CP, 5.76 % EE, 1.09 % total lysine, 0.25 % total methionine, as fed basis. Results: Dry feeding treatment had high body weight loss rather than liquid feeding treatment (P = 0.04). Dry feeding treatment had tendency to increase litter weight at 21d of lactation (P = 0.06) and litter weight gain (P = 0.04) during lactation period (0-3 week). Sows fed dry feeding method made milk containing high content of casein and total solid rather than sows fed liquid feeding method (P = 0.04). In addition, dry feeding treatment had tendency to higher content of milk fat, protein and solid not fat on 21d of lactation (P = 0.07). Sows fed dry feeding type also showed higher milk energy content in milk of 21d lactation (P = 0.05). Furthermore, liquid feeding treatment showed high occurrence in feed waste during lactation period (P <0.01). Conclusion: Dry feeding method was more suitable feeding method to lactating sows under high temperature environment like lactating barn.

  • Ta investigate characteristics and spray of emulsified fuet we are mixed water with diesel oil using ultrasonic energy fuel feeding system. Separation ratio of emulsified fuel was shown good condition that of water content is small and longer ultrasonic energy adding time. Viscosity of emulsified fuel increased 79% with addition to water content and surface tension increased 1.6% in comparision to pure diesel oil. The SMD of emulsified fuel adding ultrasonic energy decreased with 3% in comparision to pure diesel oil. With increasing 5, 10% water content the SMD decreased 15.6, 20.1% in comparision to pure diesel oil. The mind-explosion was investigated with 4step.

Study on engineering properties of xanthan gum reinforced kaolinite

  • The strengthening efficiency of biopolymer treated soil depends on biopolymer type, concentration ratio, soil type, initial water content, curing time and mixing method. In this study, the physical and mechanical properties of xanthan gum (XG) treated kaolinite were investigated through compaction test, Atterberg limit test, triaxial test and unconfined compression test. The results indicated that the optimum water content (OWC) increased from 30.3% of untreated clay to 33.5% of 5% XG treated clay, while the maximum dry density has a slight increase from 13.96 kg/m3 to 14 kg/m3 of 0.2% XG treated clay and decrease to 2.7 kg/m3 of 5% XG treated clay. Meanwhile, the plastic limit of XG treated clay increased with the increase of XG concentration, while 0.5% XG treated clay can be observed the maximum liquid limit with 79.5%. Moreover, there are the ideal water content about 1.3-1.5 times of the optimum water content achieving the maximum dry density and curing time to obtain the maximum compressive strength for different XG contents, which the UCS is 1.52 and 2.07 times of the maximum UCS of untreated soil for 0.5% and 1% XG treated clay, respectively. In addition, hot-dry mixing can achieve highest UCS than other mixing methods (e.g., dry mixing, wet mixing and hot-wet mixing).

  • 본 연구는 매립지 최종 복토층의 체적함수비 측정을 위한 저주파수 WCR(Water Content Reflectometer)의 Calibration 에 관한 것이고, Calibration의 검증은 흙의 전기전도도와 물성치를 이용하여 평가하였다. WCR 주기에 대한 체적함수비의 선형 Calibration은 높은 상관성을 보였다. 흙의 전기전도도가 증가할수록 Calibration의 기울기가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. Calibration의 기울기는 점토의 함유량, 유기질의 함유량, 액성한계, 소성한계가 높은 흙, 즉, 전기전도도가 전형적으로 높은 흙에서 낮은 값을 보였다. 낮은 주파수영역을 갖는 WCR을 활용하여 좋은 계측결과를 얻을 수 있다는 것이 본 연구를 통해 보여지고 있다.

  • The ionic liquid-based sulfonated hydrocarbon composite membranes was prepared for use in anhydrous high temperature-polymer electrolyte fuel cells (HT-PEFCs). Ionic liquid behaves like water in the composite membranes under anhydrous condition. However the composite membranes show a low conductivity and high gas permeability as the content of ionic liquid increases due to its high viscosity and content of ionic liquid, respectively. Hence, in order to enhance the proton conductivity and to reduce the gas permeability of the composite membranes with low content of ionic liquids, the acid containing a common ion of ionic liquid was added to the composite membranes. The characterization of composite membranes was carried out using small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and impedance spectroscopy. As a result, the composite membranes containing acid showed higher proton conductivity than those with no acid under the un-humidified condition due to a decrease in viscosity. In addition, the proton conductivity of composite membranes increased with increasing mole concentration of acid.

Improved Physicochemical Properties of Pork Patty Supplemented with Oil-in-Water Nanoemulsion

  • This study aimed to investigate the effect of nanoemulsion (NEM) on the physicochemical and sensory characteristics of pork patty to improve texture for elderly members of the population. Hence, we prepared pork patties supplemented with different of liquid materials: water; oil and water; oil, water, and surfactants; and nanoemulsion. The emulsion itself was characterized and the physicochemical properties of the pork patties, including pH, water content, cooking loss, thawing loss, liquid holding capacity, color, and texture, were analyzed. The size of NEM was 165.70±9.32 nm and NEM had high ζ-potential value indicating that it is stable. NEM patties had the lowest cooking and thawing losses, and the highest liquid retention, all of which affected the tenderness of the patties. Color of the patty was also affected by the addition of NEM. The highest lightness and yellowness and the lowest redness were observed (p<0.05). NEM patties had the lowest values for all texture attributes indicating improved tenderness. Our results demonstrate that NEM has positive effects on pork patties and can help to tenderize food products designed for the elderly. With further study, NEM could be a candidate tenderization agent in the meat industry.

Hydrolysate Preparation with High Content of 5-Hydroxytryptophan from Liquid Egg Protein and Its Sleep-Potentiating Activity

  • Alcalase hydrolysis of liquid egg white was used to produce 5-hydroxytryptophan (HTP) under various conditions and investigate the sleep-potentiating activity of liquid egg white hydrolysate (LEH) on pentobarbital-induced sleep. Alcalase hydrolysis yielded the highest content of 5-HTP ($13.50{\mu}g/mL$), while neutrase hydrolysis showed the lowest 5-HTP content ($5.23{\mu}g/mL$). The liquid egg white to water ratio (1:1) was optimal for the production of 5-HTP with high amino-nitrogen (A-N) content and degree of hydrolysis. The 5-HTP, amino-nitrogen, and degree of hydrolysis increased until 24 h of hydrolysis and slightly increased thereafter during hydrolysis with 2% and 5% enzyme addition. 5-HTP administration at doses of 6 and 9 mg/kg significantly increased sleep duration and decreased sleep latency time compared to that in the control (p<0.05). LEH (150 mg/mouse), which was equivalent to 5-HTP at 6 mg/kg, significantly decreased sleep latency time and increased sleep duration time compared to that in the control (p<0.05). Oral administration of LEH showed sleep-potentiating effects because of 5-HTP. The sleep-potentiating activity of LEH may have occurred through 5-HTP in our pentobarbital-induced sleep model. LEH may be a valuable alternative to sleep enhancement and may be used as a sleep-potentiating agent.

분자압축탈수 방법과 탈수액을 이용한 건조생강의 품질평가 (Quality Evaluation of Ginger Dried using a Molecular Press Dehydration Method or Employing a Dehydration Liquid)

  • 최적화된 분자압축 탈수건조 생강에 열풍건조, 동결건조, 재사용 탈수액을 사용한 탈수건조 생강을 비교하여 품질평가를 실시하였다. 품질평가항목은 일반성분, 색도, 수분흡수지수(WAI) 및 수분용해지수(WSI), 총당, 환원당, DPPH 항산화활성 측정, gingerol 함량 측정을 통하여 생강의 품질을 비교하였다. 일반성분의 경우 분자압축 탈수 건조한 생강이 열풍건조 및 동결 건조한 생강보다는 낮았지만 이는 탈수액으로 성분이 용출되는 공정의 특성의 차이로 나타나는 현상이였다. 색도에서는 분자압축 탈수 건조한 생강이 다른 건조조건의 생강보다 원물의 상태의 색을 유지하였다. 수분흡수지수(WAI) 및 수분용해지수(WSI)에서는 열풍 건조된 시료가 수분흡수지수가 가장 높았고 분자압축 탈수 건조한 시료는 표면수분을 적용한 수분함량과 수분활성도에 비교하여 낮게 나타났다. 이 결과를 통하여 판단할 때 분자압축 탈수공정을 적용한 생강이 수분흡수지수(WAI)와 수분용해지수(WSI)에서 우수하다고 판단된다. 총당의 경우 유의적인 차이는 없었지만 분자압축 탈수 건조한 생강이 비교적 높았다. 환원당은 열풍 건조한 생강시료가 비교적 높았으며 이는 갈변에 영향을 미친다고 판단된다. DPPH를 통한 항산화활성 측정에서 BHA, BHT 보다 낮았지만 다른 건조방법 보다는 분자압축 탈수 건조한 생강이 항산화활성이 높았다. Gingerol 함량 측정은 건조방법에 따라한 건조한 분말을 측정하였으며 동결건조가 가장 우수하였다. 하지만 분자압축 탈수건조한 생강의 경우 다른 건조방법 보다는 낮았지만 탈수액에 형성되는 gingerol이 발생하기 때문에 활용가치와 기능성면에서 우수하다고 판단된다. 이 처럼 모든 품질평가 항목의 결과를 통하여 분자압축 탈수건조가 이전에 열풍건조와 동결건조보다 품질이 우수하고 시설과 가격에서 경쟁적으로 우수하며 활용가치와 기존의 건조방법의 단점을 보완해 주는 건조방법으로 판단이 되어진다.
