Purpose: This article explores the experiences of Research Universities (RU) on distribution-support technologies in commercialisation with a specific focus in the Malaysian context. Research design, data and methodology: A qualitative research was carried out, in which six RU were interviewed. A structured interview was conducted. To analyse and interpret the data was using an approach adopted in qualitative thematic strategy. The findings were transcribed using Atlas.ti software to analyse related themes through a thematic analysis approach to link theories. Results: The findings provide useful insights into the significant roles of distribution-support technologies on the commercialisation strategy and impacts on the ecosystem of innovation and commercialisation in providing the importance of Distribution-support Technologies to strengthen the role of university-industry-community relation to drive the economy towards a high-income nation. Conclusions: This study will contribute theory through commercialisation literature by adding new knowledge concerning the link between universities and distribution-support technologies in commercialisation. Therefore, the practical contributions are significant for universities; industries; research institutes; government and societies to develop and plan strategically for effective, strategic and sustainable distribution-support technologies in innovation and commercialisation ecosystem.

The importance of networks is gradually expanding in the battlefield environment. As time goes by, the types of tactical data links used in the Korean JTDLS are increasing, and the military's weapon systems equipped with tactical data link systems are increasing. Thorough quality verification is required to provide stable software to the wider battlefield. This study examines how to prepare an environment in which various simulation tests to verify the stability of the Korean JTDLS project can be conducted as diverse as possible using minimal physical space and Hardware resources. Through this, it is possible to improve the completeness of the project and secure the stability of the program, and it is intended to contribute to securing higher stability and reliability by securing maximum test capabilities in a limited test environment even in Linux based system project of a similar environment.

This study aims to find the significance of the convention-related public organizations workers' cognition about the importance of public marketing activities. As well as to analysize the outcome of convention organization of public marketing activities holding positive, negative effects and the host brands value relationship. In order to strategically maintain the importance of conventions' differentiation marketing and the brands value of exhibition organization, this research is necessary to explore the importance of public marketing activities held by the public value and brand image link here. In this research, On the convention field public marketing activities' arguments were marketing strategy. In order to construct the convention destination's competitiveness and the differentiation of public marketing strategy, it is necessary to investigate the relation of convention organizations' public marketing activities' importance recognization and destination effections, destination brand value. As the results we can propose the implication of public marketing activities can enhance the competitive.

It is the prime importance of the information and the reference-librarians to better understand the communication functions of the library since they are the ones to whom the library users come first with their informational needs. Reference librarians often have the problem of providing information to those who may have little experience with, or interest in the library. There is also a problem of finding out what the person really wants, not what he says he wants. Therefore, the interaction between the librarian and the user involves a highly complex activity of communication with each other even before the actual search begins. Reference librarians cannot perform to any degree of success without comprehension of the general patterns and processes of communication in information seeking. Nonverbal as well as verbal transmittal process on the part of both librarians and patrons should not be overlooked. Some of the difficulties and barriers of library communication are brought so that possible cures and improvement may be sought. The basic purpose of the reference interview through which this interpersonal communication takes place is for the reference specialist to enable to link the needs of the patron with potential resource of the library. The writer firmly believes that this importance of the process be taught as well as the materials in reference service regardless of the level of the course offered in library science department.

A organization of social enterprises is to achieve various goals such as private interests, the public nature, and social policy. For fulfilling these goals, we have to understand the various success factors. These success factors were shared among peoples. This study explored a position of structure of social network formed by success factors of Social Enterprises with importance. A position within social network defined a number of link connected other nodes. A position is closely associated with to individual's behaviors, opinions and thinking. We used social network analysis with two mode method for explaining feathers of structure of social network formed by success factors shared among peoples. We choose degree centrality for determining a position within social network. Centrality is a key measure in social network analysis. Results is that shared success factors are operation capital(15.15%) totally, and by Buying experience of products of Social Enterprises, Business Compliance(14.39%) and planning(12.88%), and by usage time of smart devices, Business Support(17.05%) and planning(16.10%). and the dominant success factor was not explored.

Despite the potential importance of the human regulator of calcineurin 1 (RCAN-1) gene in the modulation of cell survival under stress, little is known about its role in death-inducing signal pathways. In this study, we addressed the effects of RCAN1.4 knockdown on cellular susceptibility to apoptosis and the activation of death pathway proteins. Transfection of siRNAs against RCAN1.4 resulted in enhanced Fas- and etoposide-induced apoptosis, which was associated with increased expression and translocation of Bax to mitochondria. Our results suggest that enhanced expression and activation of p53 was responsible for the upregulation of Bax and the increased sensitivity to apoptosis, which could be reversed by p53 knockdown. To explain the observed upregulation of p53, we propose a downregulation of the ubiquitin ligase HDM2, probably translationally. These findings show the importance of appropriate RCAN1.4 expression in the modulation of cell survival and reveal a link between RCAN1.4 and p53.

Main purpose of this study is to provide some basic data necessary to research, education, and policy to cultivate professional talents, by investigating what competencies needed to hospital administrative staffs and managers in performing their jobs in the global age. A survey was conducted through self-administered questionnaires for hospital administrative staffs and managers including first-line hands-on workers who were working in 77 hospitals located in Busan, Keongnam, Ulsan areas in South Korea. Major results are as follows: (a) The analysis for the competencies needed to hospital administrative staffs and managers in order to perform successfully their jobs revealed that interpersonal competency, knowledge of management skills in healthcare field, understanding ability for healthcare, in that order of importance, had significant influence on performing their jobs. (b) Regarding the analysis for the detailed competencies necessary to hospital administrative staffs and managers in order to perform successfully their jobs revealed that problem-solving ability, sense of responsibility, positive attitude, leadership, in that order of importance, had significant influence on performing them. This study suggests that universities opened courses related to health care management should newly open a subject 'problem-solving ability in health care' to link with health care field and their curriculums are necessary to change over to practice-oriented curriculum system.

Purpose:The acute hospital accreditation program launched in South Korea has shown positive effects on safety culture and quality of care. However, relative weights have not yet been investigated for accreditation criteria with a hierarchical structure. This study aimed to derive the relative weights of acute-care hospital accreditation criteria. Methods: We conducted an online survey using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) technique to assess the validity, importance, and urgency of acute hospital accreditation criteria. The AHP online survey link was distributed in November 2022 after obtaining informed consent from 10 experts in hospital accreditation. Results: 'Basic value system' ranked highest, while 'patient care system' ranked second in terms of validity, importance, and urgency. 'Performance management system' had the lowest validity and urgency, while 'organizational management system' carried the lowest importance. Within the 'patient care system' domain, 'surgery and anesthesia sedation management' scored highest in validity and importance, and 'patient care' scored highest in urgency. 'Care delivery system and evaluation' received the lowest scores for all three aspects. In the 'organizational management system' domain, infection control ranked highest in terms of validity, importance, and urgency. The lowest validity was observed for 'management and organizational operation' and the lowest importance and urgency were noted for 'human resource management'. Conclusion: The weights for validity, importance, and urgency, as shown in each domain and chapter, and the number of measurable elements included, are largely inconsistent. This study will contribute to the development of the structure and scientific improvement of accreditation standards.

Current Internet is designed by lots of service providers with different objects and policies which make the direct deployment of radically new architecture and protocols on Internet nearly impossible without reaching a consensus among almost all of them. Network virtualization is proposed to fend off this ossification of Internet architecture and add diversity to the future Internet. As an important part of network virtualization, virtual network embedding (VNE) problem has received more and more attention. In order to solve the problems of large embedding cost, low acceptance ratio (AR) and environmental adaptability in VNE algorithms, cognitive method is introduced to improve the adaptability to the changing environment and a cognitive virtual network embedding algorithm based on weighted relative entropy (WRE-CVNE) is proposed in this paper. At first, the weighted relative entropy (WRE) method is proposed to select the suitable substrate nodes and paths in VNE. In WRE method, the ranking indicators and their weighting coefficients are selected to calculate the node importance and path importance. It is the basic of the WRE-CVNE. In virtual node embedding stage, the WRE method and breadth first search (BFS) algorithm are both used, and the node proximity is introduced into substrate node ranking to achieve the joint topology awareness. Finally, in virtual link embedding stage, the CPU resource balance degree, bandwidth resource balance degree and path hop counts are taken into account. The path importance is calculated based on the WRE method and the suitable substrate path is selected to reduce the resource fragmentation. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve AR and the long-term average revenue to cost ratio (LTAR/CR) by adjusting the weighting coefficients in VNE stage according to the network environment. We also analyze the impact of weighting coefficient on the performance of the WRE-CVNE. In addition, the adaptability of the WRE-CVNE is researched in three different scenarios and the effectiveness and efficiency of the WRE-CVNE are demonstrated.

Of many viral causes of human cancer, few are of greater global importance than the hepatitis B virus (HBV). Over 250 million people worldwide are persistently infected with HBV. A significant minority of these develop severe pathologic consequences, including chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Earlier epidemiological evidence suggested a link between chronic HBV infection and HCC. Further, the existence of related animal viruses that induce acute and chronic infections of the liver, and eventually HCC, confirms the concept that HBV belongs to one of the few human oncogenic viruses. Although it is clear that chronic HBV infections are major risk factors, relatively little is understood about how the viral factors contribute to hepatocarcinogenesis. This review will introduce molecular aspects of the viral infection, and highlight recent findings on the viral contribution to hepatocarcinogenesis.
