재생자원 유래 퓨란계 에폭시 화합물의 합성 및 접착 특성 (Synthesis of Renewable Resource-derived Furan-based Epoxy Compounds and Their Adhesive Property)

  • 탄소 중립형 친환경 접착소재로서, 퓨란기를 함유하는 에폭시 단량체(8, 9)를 설계하고 합성하였다. 바이오매스로부터 바이오-리파이너리 공정을 통해 쉽게 얻을 수 있는 퓨란과 메틸 아크릴레이트를 출발물질로 하여 Diels-Alder 반응을 통하여 이중고리 뼈대를 합성하였다. 이후 에스테르 작용기를 알코올로 환원한 후 에피클로로하이드린과 반응하여 에폭시기를 함유하는 새로운 퓨란계 단량체(8, 9)를 합성하였다. 구조는 $^1H$ and $^{13}C$ NMR으로 확인하였으며, UV 경화형 단량체로서의 기본적인 성질인 광경화 속도 및 광경화율은 Photo-DSC를 사용하여 확인하였다. 또한 선형가변 미분변환기(Linear Variable Differential Transformer transducer LVDT)와 UV Spot curing 장비를 통해 화합물의 경화 수축율을 측정하여 화합물의 분자구조가 경화수축율에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았으며, 각 합성 화합물을 폴리카보네이트 피착재 사이에 도포하고 광경화 후 lab shear test를 수행한 결과 3 MPa 이상의 전단강도를 보임으로써 재생자원 유래 신규 화합물이 접착소재로서 적용이 가능하다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • The most important difference of an airship from conventional vehicle is that it has the apparent mass and inertia provided from the existence of Helium gas inside the airship. The Flow Instability Over the Infinite Rotating Disk

  • The hydrodynamic instability of the three-dimensional boundary layer on a rotating disk introduces a periodic modulation of the mean flow in the form of stationary cross flow vortices. The instability labeled Type II by Faller occurs first at lower Reynolds number than that of well known Type I instability. Detailed numerical values of the amplification rates, neutral curves and other characteristics of the two instabilities have been calculated over a wide range of parameters. Presented are the neutral stability results concerning the two instability modes by solving the appropriate linear stability equations reformulated not only by considering whole convective terms but also by correcting some errors in the previous stability equations. The present stability results agree with the previously known ones within reasonable limit. Consequently, the flow is found to be always stable for a disturbance whose dimensionless wave number is greater than 0.75. Some spatial amplification contours have been computed for the stationary disturbance wave, whose azimuth angle $\varepsilon$= 11.29$^{\circ}$ to 15$^{\circ}$ and for the moving disturbance wave, whose azimuth angle $\varepsilon$ = 12.5$^{\circ}$ to 15$^{\circ}$. Also, some temporal amplification contours have been computed for the stationary disturbance wave, whose azimuth angle $\varepsilon$= 11.29$^{\circ}$ to 15$^{\circ}$ and for the moving disturbance wave, whose azimuth angle $\varepsilon$= 12$^{\circ}$ to 15$^{\circ}$. The flow instability was observed by using a white titanium tetrachloride gas over rotating disk system. When the numerical results are compared to the present experimental data, the numerical results agree quantitatively, indicating the existence of the selective frequency mechanism.

A Four Leg Shunt Active Power Filter Predictive Fuzzy Logic Controller for Low-Voltage Unbalanced-Load Distribution Networks

  • Recently evolved power electronics' based domestic/residential appliances have begun to behave as single phase non-linear loads. Performing as voltage/current harmonic sources, those loads when connected to a three phase distribution network contaminate the line current with harmonics in addition to creating a neutral wire current increase. In this paper, an enhanced performance three phase four leg shunt active power filter (SAPF) controller is presented as a solution for this problem. The presented control strategy incorporates a hybrid predictive fuzzy-logic based technique. The predictive part is responsible for the SAPF compensating current generation while the DC-link voltage control is performed by a fuzzy logic technique. Simulations at various loading conditions are carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed technique. In addition, an experimental test rig is implemented for practical validation of the of the enhanced performance of the proposed technique.

The Effect of Slip on the Convective Instability Characteristics of the Stagnation Point Flow Over a Rough Rotating Disk

  • In this paper we look at the three dimensional stagnation point flow problem over a rough rotating disk. We study the theoretical behaviour of the stagnation point flow, or forced flow, in the presence of a slip factor in which convective instability stationary modes appear. We make a numerical investigation of the effects of slip on the behaviour of the flow components of the stagnation point flow where the disk is rough. We provide, for the first time in the literature, a complete convective instability analysis and an energy analysis. Suitable similarity transformations are used to reduce the Navier-Stokes equations and the continuity equation into a system of highly non-linear coupled ordinary differential equations, and these are solved numerically subject to suitable boundary conditions using the bvp4c function of MATLAB. The convective instability analysis and the energy analysis are performed using the Chebyshev spectral method in order to obtain the neutral curves and the energy bars. We observe that the roughness of the disk has a destabilising effect on both Type-I and Type-II instability modes. The results obtained will be prominently treated as benchmarks for our future studies on stagnation flow.

레일 파단시 장대레일 개구부에서의 궤도-차량 동적상호작용 (Dynamic Interaction of Track and Train System on Open Gap by Rail Breaks)

  • 장대레일은 동절기에 중위온도 이하로 떨어져 레일의 인장파단에 의해 개구부가 발생할 수 있다. 레일 파단을 미리 감지 못하는 경우에 개구부에서 동적하중에 의해서 차륜과 레일의 파손이 발생할 수 있으며, 열차주행 안전성이 감소될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 개구부에서의 궤도와 차량의 동적거동 분석을 위해 레일 파단시 개구부에서의 궤도와 차량의 상호작용을 고려한 동적해석모델을 제안하였다. 궤도와 차량의 선형시스템은 비선형 헤르찌안 접촉 스프링에 의해 연성되었으며 전체 궤도-차량 시스템 운동방정식을 정식화하였다. 그리고 개구부에서의 상호작용 현상을 고려하여 궤도 불균일부의 함수를 정의하고 개구부에서의 전후방 레일 사이의 개구량을 고려하였다. 비선형 방정식을 풀기위해 동적해석은 $Newmark-{\beta}$ 방법에 의해 수행되었다. 그리고 차량속도, 개구량, 레일지지강성에 따른 매개변수에 대한 궤도-차량의 동적상호작용해석을 수행하였고 변수에 대한 영향을 분석하였다.

Discrimination of Three Emotions using Parameters of Autonomic Nervous System Response

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to compare results of emotion recognition by several algorithms which classify three different emotional states(happiness, neutral, and surprise) using physiological features. Background: Recent emotion recognition studies have tried to detect human emotion by using physiological signals. It is important for emotion recognition to apply on human-computer interaction system for emotion detection. Method: 217 students participated in this experiment. While three kinds of emotional stimuli were presented to participants, ANS responses(EDA, SKT, ECG, RESP, and PPG) as physiological signals were measured in twice first one for 60 seconds as the baseline and 60 to 90 seconds during emotional states. The obtained signals from the session of the baseline and of the emotional states were equally analyzed for 30 seconds. Participants rated their own feelings to emotional stimuli on emotional assessment scale after presentation of emotional stimuli. The emotion classification was analyzed by Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA, SPSS 15.0), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Multilayer perceptron(MLP) using difference value which subtracts baseline from emotional state. Results: The emotional stimuli had 96% validity and 5.8 point efficiency on average. There were significant differences of ANS responses among three emotions by statistical analysis. The result of LDA showed that an accuracy of classification in three different emotions was 83.4%. And an accuracy of three emotions classification by SVM was 75.5% and 55.6% by MLP. Conclusion: This study confirmed that the three emotions can be better classified by LDA using various physiological features than SVM and MLP. Further study may need to get this result to get more stability and reliability, as comparing with the accuracy of emotions classification by using other algorithms. Application: This could help get better chances to recognize various human emotions by using physiological signals as well as be applied on human-computer interaction system for recognizing human emotions.

레일 개구부에서의 궤도-차량 상호작용에 대한 연구 (A Study of Dynamic Behavior of Track and Train Interaction on Rail Open Gap)

  • 장대레일은 동절기에 기온하강으로 인한 인장력을 발생하는데 중위온도 이하로 떨어져 파단이 발생되면 인장파단과 레일 간에 틈이 발생되며 이를 개구부라 한다. 이 개구부를 차륜이 통과하면 충격하중이 발생하며, 큰 손실이 발생할 수 있는 열차탈선이 발생할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 동적해석을 위해 개구부를 가진 궤도와 차량의 상호작용을 고려한 동적해석모델을 제안하였다. 궤도와 차량의 선형시스템은 비선형 헤르찌안 접촉 스프링에 의해 연성되었으며 전체 궤도-차량 시스템 운동방정식을 정식화하였다. 그리고 개구부에서의 상호작용 현상을 고려하여 궤도 불균일부의 함수를 정의하고 개구부에서의 전후방 레일 사이의 개구량을 고려하였다. 비선형 방정식을 풀기위해 동적해석은 수정된 Newton-Raphson 방법에 근거한 Newmark - $\beta$ 방법에 의해 수행되었다. 그리고 차량속도, 개구량, 레일지지강성에 따른 매개변수를 조건으로 수치해석을 수행하였다.

온도와 변위 데이터를 이용한 사장교의 온도신축거동 평가 (Evaluation of Thermal Movements of a Cable-Stayed Bridge Using Temperatures and Displacements Data)

  • 케이블교량은 교량길이가 길고 규모가 크기 때문에 온도에 의한 이동량과 형상변화는 일반교량보다 훨씬 크다. 따라서 공용 중 온도영향을 분석, 평가하는 것이 중요하며, 온도영향은 온도변화에 따라 교량 상부구조계가 늘어나거나 줄어드는 온도신축거동을 평가하는 것이 가장 기본이다. 이에 공용 중인 사장교에서 장기간 계측된 온도와 이종 변위 데이터를 활용하여 실제적인 온도신축거동을 평가하고자 하였다. 변위 데이터는 기존 신축변위계와 함께 새롭게 도입된 GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) 수신기에서 계측된 데이터를 활용하였다. 먼저 외기온도, 개별온도, 평균온도, 유효온도의 다양한 온도 조합에 대한 신축거동의 상관성을 분석하여 부재의 평균온도나 유효온도를 사용하는 것이 합리적임을 확인하였다. 부재 유효온도와 신축량의 선형회귀분석으로부터 단위온도신축량을 산정하고, 추가적으로 신축길이와 계측 단위온도 신축량의 선형회귀분석으로부터 선팽창계수와 중립점의 위치를 산정할 수 있었다. 이를 이론과 해석 결과와 비교함으로써 케이블교량의 실제 온도신축거동의 건전성을 평가할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

시뮬레이티드 어닐링을 이용한 젖소의 급이량 산정 (Determination of Dairy Cow Food Intake using Simulated Annealing)

  • The daily food intake for dairy cows has to be effectively controlled to breed a sound group of cows as well as to enhance the productivity of the cows. But, feed stuffs are fed in the common bulk for a group of cows in most cases despite that the individual food intake has to be varied. To obtain the feed for each cow, both the nutrient requirements and the nutrient composition of fred have to be provided in advance, which are based on the status of cows such as weigh marginal weight amount of milk, fat concentration in milk, growth and milking stages, and rough feed ratio, etc. Then, the mixed ration fur diet would be computed by the nutrient requirements constraints. However, when TMR (Total Mixed Ration) is conventionally supplied for a group of cows, it is almost impossible to get an optimal feed mixed ration meeting the nutrient requirements of each individual cow since the constraints are usually conflicting and over-constrained although they are linear. Hence, addressed in this paper is a simulated annealing (SA) technique to find the food intake for dairy cows, considering the characteristics of individual or grouped cows. Appropriate parameters fur the successful working of SA are determined through preliminary experiments. The parameters include initial temperature, epoch length. cooling scheduling, and stopping criteria. In addition, a neighborhood solution generation method for the effective improvement of solutions is presented. Experimental results show that the final solution for the mixture of feed fits the rough feed ratio and some other nutrient requirements such as rough fiber, acid detergent fiber, and neutral detergent fiber, with 100 percent, while fulfilling net energy for lactating, metabolic energy, total digestible nutrients, crude protein, and undegraded intake protein within average five percent.
