Statement of problem : Fracture of composite resin core will be occulted by progress of crack. Bonding interface of different materials has large possibility of starting point of crack line. Therefore, the bond strength of glass fiber post to composite resin core is important for prevention of fracture. Purpose: This in vitro study tried to find out how to get the higher strength of glass fiber post to composite resin core through surveying the maximum load that fractures the post and cote complex. Materials and methods: 40 specimens made with glass fiber Posts(Style $post^{(R)}$, Metalor, Swiss) and composite resin core ($Z-100^{(R)}$, 3M, USA) were prepared and loaded to failure with push-out type shear-bond strength test in a universal test machine. The maximum fracture load and fracture mode were investigated in the specimens that were restored with four different surface treatments. With the data. ANOVA test was used to validate the significance between the test groups, and Bonferroni method was used to check if there is any significant statistical difference between each test group. Evely analysis was approved with 95% reliance. Results: On measuring the maximum fracture load of specimens, both the treatments of sandblasted and acid-etched one statistically showed the strength increase rather than the control group (p<0.005). The scanning electric microscope revealed that sand blasting made more micro-retention form not only on the resin matrix but on the glass fiber, and acid-etching contributed to increase in surface retention form, eliminated the inorganic particles in resin matrix. Specimen fracture modes investigation represented that sand blasted groups showed lower bonding failure than no-sand blasted groups. Conclusion: Referring to the values of maximum fracture load of specimens, the bonding strength was increased by sand blasting and acid-etching.
20 fossil sites of numerous fossil sites in Korea have been designated as Natural Monument for protection and conservation. Many of the sites which is located at the coastal area have been gradually disfigured by natural weathering, erosion and human activity. Thus the conservation of the original form and the documentation for the original figure are necessary. In this study, we applied 3D digital documentation to Natural Monument No. 394, Haenam Uhangri dinosaur, pterosaur, and bird footprint fossil site, for maintaining the original form of the dinosaur footprints. We were able to obtain the 3D digital data on two dinosaur footprint sites, a high resolution distributional map, and more accurate digital data of the dinosaur footprints applied the rendering method by ambient occlusion. 3D digital data on the dinosaur footprints is worth for the conservation and research data, moreover content for applying to the various fields such as to make 3D brochure, interactive contents, and so on.

The corrosion resistance of submerged entry nozzle (SEN) materials were investigated for high-class steel manufacturing. Composite samples were fabricated by mixing $ZrO_2$, $Al_2O_3$, MgO, mullite, spinel, and carbon. The raw materials were mixed with attrition milling, compacted in a uniaxial pressure of 200MPa and calcined at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 3 h in $N_2$ atmosphere. The bulk density and apparent porosity of the calcined samples were measured by the liquid displacement method in water using Archimedes's principle. The corrosion resistance of the samples were measured by cup test with mold powder at $1550^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. The microstructure and elemental analysis of samples were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrum (EDS), and X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD). The XRD result shows that the starting raw materials were crystalline phase. The microstructure of fabricated specimen was investigated before and after corrosion tests at $1000^{\circ}C$ and $1550^{\circ}C$ for 2h. $ZrO_2$-C composite showed good resistance in the slag corrosion test. Among the composite oxide materials, $ZrO_2-Al_2O_3$-C and $ZrO_2$-MgO-C showed better resistance than $ZrO_2$-C in the slag corrosion test. The diameter variation index of $ZrO_2$-C refractory was 16.1 at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. The diameter variation index of the $ZrO_2-Al_2O_3$-C refractory was larger than that of the $ZrO_2$-C refractory at $1550^{\circ}C$ for 2 h.

$Dy^{3+}$- and $Eu^{3+}$-codoped $CaMoO_4$ Phosphors were synthesized by using the solid-state reaction method. The crystal structure, morphology, and optical properties of the resulting phosphor particles were investigated by using the X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, and photoluminescence spectroscopy. XRD patterns exhibited that all the synthesized phosphors showed a tetragonal system with a main (112) diffraction peak, irrespective of the content of $Eu^{3+}$ ions. As the content of $Eu^{3+}$ ions increased, the grains showed a tendency to agglomerate. The excitation spectra of the synthesized powders were composed of one strong broad band centered at 305 nm in the range of 220 - 350 nm and several weak peaks in the range of 350 - 500 nm resulting from the 4f transitions of activator ions. Upon ultraviolet excitation at 305 nm, the yellow emission line due to the $^4F_{9/2}{\rightarrow}^6H_{13/2}$ transition of $Dy^{3+}$ ions and the main red emission spectrum resulting from the $^5D_0{\rightarrow}^7F_2$ transition of $Eu^{3+}$ ions were observed. With the increase of the content of $Eu^{3+}$, the intensity of the yellow emission band gradually decreased while that of the red emission increased. These results indicated that the emission intensities of yellow and red emissions could be modulated by changing the content of the $Dy^{3+}$ and $Eu^{3+}$ ions incorporated into the host crystal.
Sink strength optimizes sucrose import, which is fundamental to support developing seed grains and increase crop yields, including those of rice (Oryza sativa). In this regard, little is known about the function of vacuolar invertase (VIN) in controlling sink strength and thereby seed size. Here, in rice we analyzed mutants of two VINs, OsVIN1 and OsVIN2, to examine their role during seed development. In a phenotypic analysis of the T-DNA insertion mutants, only the OsVIN2 mutant osvin2-1 exhibited reduced seed size and grain weight. Scanning electron microscopy analysis revealed that the small seed grains of osvin2-1 can be attributed to a reduction in spikelet size. A significant decrease in VIN activity and hexose level in the osvin2-1 spikelets interfered with spikelet growth. In addition, significant reduction in starch and increase in sucrose, which are characteristic features of reduced turnover and flux of sucrose due to impaired sink strength, were evident in the pre-storage stage of osvin2-1 developing grains. In situ hybridization analysis found that expression of OsVIN2 was predominant in the endocarp of developing grains. A genetically complemented line with a native genomic clone of OsVIN2 rescued reduced VIN activity and seed size. Two additional mutants, osvin2-2 and osvin2-3 generated by the CRISPR/Cas9 method, exhibited phenotypes similar to those of osvin2-1 in spikelet and seed size, VIN activity, and sugar metabolites. These results clearly demonstrate an important role of OsVIN2 as sink strength modulator that is critical for the maintenance of sucrose flux into developing seed grains.
In this study, electroconductive textiles were developed by screen-printing technology using a complex solution of PEDOT:PSS/AgNW on a polylactic acid nanofiber web. A performance evaluation was then conducted to utilize this electroconductive textile as a signal transmission line. To obtain highly conductive electroconductive textiles, this study sought to determine the optimal mixing ratio of PEDOT:PSS/AgNW. Sheet resistance was measured to evaluate the electrical properties of electroconductive textiles, Finite element-scanning electron microscopy images were then used to examine surface properties, and Fourier transform-infrared analysis was performed to evaluate chemical properties. The signal waveform characteristics of the electroconductive textile were observed using a signal generator and an oscilloscope. Radio-frequency characteristics were then evaluated to confirm frequency range, and bending tests were conducted to evaluate durability. The signal transmission lines produced in this study had a sheet resistance value of 3.30 ?/sq, and signal transmission performance was evaluated to observe that the input value of the voltage was nearly identical to the output value. In addition, S21 analysis confirmed that it was available in the frequency domain up to 35 MHz. The performances of the transmission lines were maintained after 100, 200, 500, and 1,000 repeated bending tests, and sufficient durability was confirmed.
Purpose: In this study, to evaluate the effect of oxide changes on the shear bond strength according to the composition of Ni-Cr alloys for porcelain fused matal crown, T-4 alloys, Zeroy alloys and Zeroy-X alloys were selected. Methods: 20 specimens were fabricated using selected Ni-Cr alloys and porcelain powders. A Ni-Cr alloy having a diameter of 5 mm and a height of 25 mm was produced and the metal surface was polished. Porcelain powder was fired on the polished metal surface to a diameter of 5 mm and a height of 3 mm. The experiment group consisted of three groups, T-4(TNA), Zeroy(ZNA) and Zeroy-X(ZXA). The fabricated specimens were mounted on a jig of a universal testing machine(UTM) and fracture strength was measured by applying a shear force at a UTM crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/min. The fracture strength was calculated as the bond strength between the porcelain and the alloy. The surface of the fractured alloy was analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and the components of the oxide were measured by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX) line profile method. Results: In SEM, XRD and EDX analysis, yttrium tended to increase the mechanical and chemical bonding forces. The shear bond strength of ZXA group containing yttrium showed the highest value at 27.53 MPa. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is considered that the yttrium-added Ni-Cr alloy is clinically acceptable in porcelain shear bond strength.

Since catalyst technology is one of the promising technologies to improve the working performance of next generation energy and electronic devices, many efforts have been made to develop various catalysts with high efficiency at a low cost. However, there are remaining challenges to be resolved in order to use the suggested catalytic materials, such as platinum (Pt), gold (Au), and palladium (Pd), due to their poor cost-effectiveness for device applications. In this study, to overcome these challenges, we suggest a useful method to increase the surface area of a noble metal catalyst material, resulting in a reduction of the total amount of catalyst usage. By employing block copolymer (BCP) self-assembly and nano-transfer printing (n-TP) processes, we successfully fabricated sub-20 nm Pt line and cross-bar patterns. Furthermore, we obtained a highly ordered Pt cross-bar pattern on a Ni thin film and a Pt-embedded Ni thin film, which can be used as hetero hybrid alloy catalyst structure. For a detailed analysis of the hybrid catalytic material, we used scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), which revealed a well-defined nanoporous Pt nanostructure on the Ni thin film. Based on these results, we expect that the successful hybridization of various catalytic nanostructures can be extended to other material systems and devices in the near future.

Purpose: The proton used in proton therapy has a characteristic of giving a small dose to the normal tissue in front of the tumor site while forming a Bragg peak at the cancer tissue site and giving up the maximum dose and disappearing immediately. It is very important to verify the proton arrival position. In this study, we used the off-line PET CT method to measure the distribution of positron emitted from nucleons such as 11C (half-life = 20 min), 150 (half-life = 2 min) and 13N The range and distal falloff point of the proton were verified by measurement. Materials and Methods: In the IEC 2001 Body Phantom, 37 mm, 28 mm, and 22 mm spheres were inserted. The phantom was filled with water to obtain a CT image for each sphere size. To verify the proton range and distal falloff points, As a treatment planning system, SOBP were set at 46 mm on 37 mm sphere, 37 mm on 28 mm, and 33 mm on 22 mm sphere for each sphere size. The proton was scanned in the same center with a single beam of Gantry 0 degree by the scanning method. The phantom was scanned using PET-CT equipment. In the PET-CT image acquisition method, 50 images were acquired per minute, four ROIs including the spheres in the phantom were set, and 10 images were reconstructed. The activity profile according to the depth was compared to the dose profile according to the sphere size established in the treatment plan Results: The PET-CT activity profile decreased rapidly at the distal falloff position in the 37 mm, 28 mm, and 22 mm spheres as well as the dose profile. However, in the SOBP section, which is a range for evaluating the range, the results in the proximal part of the activity profile are different from those of the dose profile, and the distal falloff position is compared with the proton therapy plan and PET-CT As a result, the maximum difference of 1.4 mm at the 50 % point of the Max dose, 1.1 mm at the 45 % point at the 28 mm sphere, and the difference at the 22 mm sphere at the maximum point of 1.2 mm were all less than 1.5 mm in the 37 mm sphere. Conclusion: To maximize the advantages of proton therapy, it is very important to verify the range of the proton beam. In this study, the proton range was confirmed by the SOBP and the distal falloff position of the proton beam using PET-CT. As a result, the difference of the distally falloff position between the activity distribution measured by PET-CT and the proton therapy plan was 1.4 mm, respectively. This may be used as a reference for the dose margin applied in the proton therapy plan.
Thanks to IEEE 802.11 technique, accessing Internet through a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) is possible in the most of the places including university campuses, shopping malls, offices, hospitals, stations, and so on. Most of the APs(access points) for wireless LAN are supporting 2.4 GHz band 802.11b and 802.11g protocols. This paper is introducing a C# library function which can be used to read RSSIs(Received Signal Strength Indicator) from APs. An LBS(Location Based Service) estimates the current location of the user and provides useful user's location-based services such as navigation, points of interest, and so on. Therefore, indoor, LBS is very desirable. However, an indoor LBS cannot be realized unless indoor position ing is possible. For indoor positioning, techniques of using infrared, ultrasound, signal strength of UDP packet have been proposed. One of the disadvantages of these techniques is that they require special equipments dedicated for positioning. On the other hand, wireless LAN-based indoor positioning does not require any special equipments and more economical. A wireless LAN-based positioning cannot be realized without reading RSSIs from APs. Therefore, our C# library function will be widely used in the field of indoor positioning. In addition to providing a C# library function of reading RSSI, this paper introduces implementation of indoor positioning modules making use of the library function. The methods used in the implementation are K-NN(K Nearest Neighbors), Bayesian and trilateration. K-NN and Bayesian are kind of fingerprinting method. A fingerprint method consists of off-line phase and realtime phase. The process time of realtime phase must be fast. This paper proposes a decision tree method in order to improve the process time of realtime phase. Experimental results of comparing performances of these methods are also discussed.
