Plan and Design of Fan-Type Arch Railway Bridge (경사행거아치철도교의 계획과 설계)

  • Railway bridge type has been mainly selected by a intersection of roads and rivers, and economy. Now a days, it is required that the bridge type is considered a harmony with circumstances, a beauty and an expression of symbol of regions because of the enlargement of bridge structures and the advance of people's consciousness level. So it is adopted arch bridge with fan type hanger for a outer beautiful sight and a symbol of development of regions as 80m intersection bridge of railway and former national road at pal hung bridge in jolla line lot 1. It is performed that an examination, a consultation, a design of member sections and a detail analysis of joint parts according to the basic design. It is also performed a dynamic analysis with design loads and train loads reflection on railway bridge characteristics and examined a safety and a propriety of design compare with a fatigue design and design rules.

A Study on the Mythological Analysis and Architectural Space Restoration of the Seokguram Grotto (석굴암의 신화 분석과 건축공간 복원에 관한 연구)

  • Recognizing that the debate on the original form of the Seokguram Grotto is closely related to the mythologization of the Seokguram Grotto, which is far from factual understanding, this paper is prepared to restore the Seokguram Grotto based on scientific facts. To this end, we will first analyze its active meaning and fiction from three directions: the founding legend, the rediscovery story, and the concept and discourse of the Line of sight for Buddha statue (對佛像視準線), which have contributed to the mythologization of the Seokguram Grotto. The original restoration of the Seokguram Grotto should be based on a scientific understanding of the Seokguram space. However, past debates and restoration attempts have been based on imagination and not on scientific knowledge. Therefore, Chapter 3 attempts a scientific analysis of the light environment of thr Seokguram Grotto and critically examines the existing errors and realistic mythological images to correct the public's spatial perception of Seokguram's architecture and to propose a rational restoration of Seokguram's architectural space.

Finite-Time Convergent Guidance Law Based on Second-Order Sliding Mode Control Theory

  • The complex battlefield environment makes it difficult to intercept maneuvering targets for guided missiles. In this paper, a finite-time convergent (FTC) guidance law based on the second-order sliding mode (SOSM) control theory is proposed to achieve the requirements of stability, accuracy and robustness. More specifically, a second-order sliding mode observer (SMOB) is used to estimate and compensate for the total disturbance of the controlled system, while the target acceleration is extracted from the line-of-sight (LOS) angle measurement. The proposed guidance law can drive the LOS angular rate converge to zero in a finite time, which means that the missile will accurately intercept the target. Numerical simulations with some comparisons are performed to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed guidance law.

  • This dissertation presents the results on two-dimensional Redshift space distortion (hereafter RSD) analyses of the large-scale structure of the universe using spectroscopic data and on improvement of modeling of the RSD effect. RSD is an effect caused by galaxies' peculiar velocity on their clustering feature in observation along the line of sight and is thus intimately connected to the growth rate of the structure in the universe, from which we can test the origin of cosmic acceleration and Einstein's theory of gravity at cosmic scales in the end. However, there are several challenges in modeling precise and accurate RSD effect, such as non-linearities and the existence of an exotic component, e.g. massive neutrino. As part of endeavors for modeling more precise and accurate galaxy clustering in redshift space, this dissertation includes a series of works for this issue.   • Urban Air Mobility (UAM) such as a drone taxi is one of the future transportations that have recently been attracting attention. Along with the construction of an urban terminal, an accurate landing system for UAM is also essential. However, in urban environments, reliable Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) signals cannot be received due to obstacles such as high-rise buildings which causes multipath and non-line of sight signal. Thus, the positioning result in urban environments from the GNSS signal is unreliable. Consequently, we propose the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) network to assist the soft landing of UAM on a vertiport. Since the positioning performance of UWB network depends on the layout of UWB anchors, it is necessary to optimize the layout of UWB anchors. In this paper, we propose a two-steps genetic algorithm that consists of binary genetic algorithm involved multi objectives fitness function and integer genetic algorithm involved robust solution searching fitness function in order to optimize taking into account Fresnel hole effects.

  • This article describes a development CDMA LBS in order to apply to "Control System of Underground Infrastructure Fire Accident" which one of U-City Projects of Seoul City. Our goal guides taking shelter of the sufferer it will not be able to use a GPS when the fire occurs from subway station. There are Location measurement methods which measures the AOA(Angle of Arrival) of the signal which it sends with the MS(Mobile station) from the BS(Base station), an electronic delivery time (TOA:Time of Arrival) and the relative difference of electronic arrival time from Base stations (TDOA:Time Difference of Arrival). This time the error due to a multiplex course error and near-far problem and NLOS(Non Line of Sight). We are planning to construct the Test Bed which is an error below 1 meter.

Coordinates Tracking Algorithm Design (표적 좌표지향 알고리즘 설계)

  • This paper describes the design of a Coordinates Tracking algorithm for EOTS and its error analysis. EOTS stabilizes the image sensors such as FLIR, CCD TV camera, LRF/LD, and so on, tracks targets automatically, and provides navigation capability for vehicles. The Coordinates Tracking algorithm calculates the azimuth and the elevation angle of EOTS using the inertial navigation system and the attitude sensors of the vehicle, so that LOS designates the target coordinates which is generated by a Radar or an operator. In the error analysis in this paper, the unexpected behaviors of EOTS that is due to the time delay and deadbeat of the digital signals of the vehicle equipments are anticipated and the countermeasures are suggested. This algorithm is verified and the error analysis is confirmed through simulations. The application of this algorithm to EOTS will improve the operational capability by reducing the time which is required to find the target and support especially the flight in a night time flight and the poor weather condition.

  • The received field strength is varied with the electrical characteristics of the reflection medium in the case of the line-of-sight. To obtain the electrical characteristics of medium, the relationship between reflection coefficients and complex dielectric constants of the medium is derived, and a equation of circle which is related to reflection coefficient and ratio of transmitted power to received one is represented. A algorithm is proposed, which is to predict the electrical characteristics of the medium by using the received field strength.

  • It is shown that there exists a nonlinear mappping which transforms features and their changes to the desired camera motion without measurement of the relative distance between the camera and the part, and the nonlinear mapping can eliminate several difficulties encountered when using the inverse of the feature Jacobian as in the usual feature-based visual feedback controls. And instead of analytically deriving the closed form of such a nonlinear mapping, a fuzzy membership function (FMF) based neural network is then proposed to approximate the nonlinear mapping, where the structure of proposed networks is similar to that of radial basis function neural network which is known to be very useful in function approximations. The proposed FMF network is trained to be capable of tracking moving parts in the whole work space along the line of sight. For the effective implementation of proposed IMF networks, an image feature selection processing is investigated, and required fuzzy membership functions are designed. Finally, several numerical examples are illustrated to show the validities of our proposed visual servoing method.

Performance Degradation due to Phase Jitter in IEEE 802.16 Downlink Signals

  • A multilevel modulation with selectable constellations is adopted in the downlink subframe modulation of the IEEE 802.16 standard to increase the total throughput. One of the decision factors of the modulation is the location of SS(Subscriber Station) . Also, for the 802.16, low phase noise of local oscillator is needed due to high operating frequency and severe loss in the propagation channel. We investigate the BER of down-link subframe with the phase jitter under the standard's specified LOS(line of sight) and multipath environment with randomly generated SS locations. Simulation results show BER performance degradation for the modulation corresponding to selected constellations and additionally required SNR to achieve 10$\^$-3/ BER under various phase jitter.
