임금근로자의 작업장 유해위험요인 노출이 근로환경에 대한 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of the exposure to hazard factors on job satisfaction in employees)

  • This study was planned to investigate the effect of the exposure to hazard factors on work environment satisfaction. Existing researches about job satisfaction have focused on the general working conditions, such as working hours, wage, human relationship, job task and so on. Korean Working Conditions Survey was used for this study because that relevant questions were included. The effect of the exposure to hazard factors on work environment satisfaction may be produced by hierarchical regression analysis because of comparison with existing model for work environment satisfaction. The exposure to hazards factors were statistically significant effect on work environment satisfaction after adjusting other confounding variables, such as gender, age, educational level, job security, work hour, work load, work autonomy, social support, etc. This study has some limitation because that KWCS was cross sectional survey. Some researches about the causal effect and its mechanism may be suggested as future study.

  • DNV crane criteria are specially designated for the vessel equipped with lifting crane to cover the risk during the crane operation. Based on the DNV crane criteria, the crane performance shall be decided. The weight control has great importance in the management of vessel's design for crane vessel. To evaluate limitation of lightship weight and the effect of design changes sufficiently, the lightship allowable VCG curve was used. The optimization process was carried out for generation of the lightship allowable VCG curve due to the difficulty coming from the characteristic of DNV crane criteria. This paper includes the introduction to the DNV Crane criteria and optimization process for evaluation in aspect of lightship weight and VCG.

태양열 온수급탕 시스템의 TRNSYS 열성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Solar Heating System for High Solar Fraction using TRNSYS)

  • In this paper, performances of solar hot water supply systems are parametrically analyzed with the variations of solar collector area, slope of collector and volume of storage. All simulations are conducted by using TRNSYS computer program. Average solar fractions, collector efficiencies and temperatures of storage are investigated monthly as well as annually. For system analysis, the maximum value of monthly average solar fractions has a limitation of 90 percent. As a result, the designed solar thermal system with $6m^2$ collector area, $50^{\circ}$ slope and $0.36m^2$ storage volume could provide almost an annual average solar fraction of 72 percent. By increasing the storage volume to $0.42m^2$, the annual solar fraction of system increases up to 73 percent.

반사거울 설치 방향 조정에 의한 Heliostat 기구오차에서 기인하는 태양추적오차의 보정 (Compensation of Sun Tracking Error caused by the Heliostat Geometrical Error through the Canting of Heliostat Mirror Facets)

  • Canting is the optical alignment of mirror facets of heliostat such that the heliostat could focus the energy as a unit concentrator. Canting could improve the optical performance of heliostat and thus improves the efficiency of heliostat and ultimately improves the efficiency of the solar thermal power plant. This study discusses the effect of mirror canting, especially off-axis canting, used to compensate the sun tracking error caused by the heliostat geometrical errors. We first show that the canting could compensate the sun tracking error caused by the heliostat geometrical errors. Then we show that the proper canting time could exist, depending on the heliostat location. Finally we show how much the sun tracking performance could be improved by canting, by providing RMS sun tracking error. The limitation and caution of using canting to improve the sun tracking performance are also discussed.

500kW급 수평축 조류발전기의 수력 최적 설계 (Hydrodynamically Optimal Blade Design for 500kW Class Horizontal Axis Tidal Current Turbine)

  • A tidal current turbine is designed and analyzed numerically by using blade element momentum theory. The rated power has a limitation because the diameter of the tidal current turbine cannot exceed the depth of sea water. This study investigates a horizontal axis tidal-current turbine with a rated power of 500 kW. NACA-6 series laminar foil shape is used for basic airfoil along the blade span. The distributions of chord length and twist angle along the blade span are obtained from the hydrodynamic optimization procedure. Prandtl's tip loss correction and angle of attack correction considering the three-dimensional effect are applied for this study. The power coefficient curve shows maximum peak at the rated tip speed ratio of 6.0, and the maximum torque coefficient is developed at the tip speed ratio of 4. The drag coefficient reaches about 0.85 at the design tip speed ratio.

Characteristics of Shield Materials for Wireless Power Transfer

  • In this paper, we examine the electrical and magnetic properties of three different types of shield materials used for wireless power transfer systems: namely, FeSiAl-composite, NiZn-ferrite, and FeSi-amorphous types. The power transfer efficiency and resistance of an RX coil are measured, while varying the shield thickness. For all three types, a thicker shield provides better power transfer efficiency. Analysis of the measurements shows that the FeSiAl-composite type is suitable for systems with size limitation. In terms of magnetic properties, the FeSi-amorphous type shows the best features, and is suited to high power applications. This work can be used as a guideline to select suitable shielding material in various wireless power transfer systems.

  • Color-code imaging should be one of the best display tools for the quick perception of both damage area and its intensity, In this study we proposed the standard color code corresponding to maximum observed acceleration value. Since the acceleration value changes with frequency contents, we suggested to limit the frequency band less than 10Hz. The background considerations of this limitation, magnitude vs. dominant frequency, natural characteristics of artificial noises and the relationship between velocity and acceleration, were reviewed in detail. The standard of color code was assigned from 0.001%g to 20%g based on the possible earthquakes at Korean peninsula and the color imaging given by RGB value was shown to be very consistent, irrespective of hardware configuration.

  • The ASCE formula of lifeline.soil interaction force is the basis of semi-analytical relationship for buried pipelines subjected to longitudinal permanent ground deformation due to seismic induced liquefaction. However, since the ASCE formula has been developed based on the stiffness of non-liquefied region, it is needed to modify for the varied stiffness of liquefied region. With this object, the consideration of decreasing effect of soil stiffness in liquefied region is made: i.e. the spatial distributions of pipeline-soil interaction force in liquefied region. It means that the improved formula can reflect various patterns of permanent ground deformation more realistically. Through the comparative analyses using both the improved and ASCE formula, the applicability of the improved and the limitation of the ASCE formula and semi-analytical relationship are discussed. Also, relative influences of various parameters are evaluated for the clarification of behavior of pipeline subjected to longitudinal permanent ground deformation due to liquefaction.

Evaluation of Cluster-Based System for the OLTP Application

  • In this paper, we have modeled and evaluated a new parallel processing system called Scalable Parallel computer Architecture based on Xbar (SPAX) for commercial applications. SMP systems are widely used as servers for commercial applications; however, they have very limited scalability. SPAX cost-effectively overcomes the SMP limitation by providing both scalability and application portability. To investigate whether the new architecture satisfies the requirements of commercial applications, we have built a system model and a workload model. The results of the simulation study show that the I/O subsystem becomes the major bottleneck. We found that SPAX can still meet the I/O requirement of the OLTP workload as it supports flexible I/O subsystem. We also investigated what will be the next most important bottleneck in SPAX and how to remove it. We found that the newly developed system network called Xcent-Net will not be a bottleneck in the I/O data path. We also show the optimal configuration that is to be considered for system tuning.

  • Phase-shifting masks (PSM), optical proximity correction (OPC), off-axis illumination (OAI), annular illumination (AI)의 리소그래피 분해능 향상 기법과 deep ultraviolet photoresist의 개발 및 리소그래피의 최근 기술 동향을 요약 소개한다. DUV 리소그래피의 대안으로 관심을 끌고 있는 scattering with angular limitation projection electron-beam lithography (SCALPEL), extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUVL), X-ray lithography (XRL), ion projection lithography (IPL) 등의 새로운 리소그래피 기술들의 기본 원리와 최근 기술 동향도 소개하였다. 리소그래피는 반도체 공정에 있어서 가장 중요한 부분을 차지하기 때문에 리소그래피의 최근 기술 동향을 검토해 봄으로써 국내 리소그래피 장비 산업의 기술 개발을 위한 방향 설정에 도움이 될 것으로 생각한다.
