Estimate of Flashover Position from E-field Calculation along Electrode Gap Distance (진공인터럽터 극간 랩거리 조정에 따른 각 부위의 전계값 계산을 통한 진공인터럽터 내부 절연파괴부위 예측)

  • Because of power consumption increase, global warming, and limitation of installation, not only high reliability and interruption capability but also compact and light power apparatuses are needed. In this paper, various models that short and long gap distance were used to analyze E field of each model. Calculation value was estimated of flashover position. As a result, short and long gap distance that vacuum interrupter inner between move electrode and fix electrode not coincided flashover position of each model. short gap distance estimated flashover position at electrode edge. but long gap distance model confirmed $E_{max}$ value at center shield. in this paper was compared electric field value. and estimated of flashover position from electric field calculation.

  • Because of power consumption increase, global wanning, and limitation of installation, not only high reliability and interruption capability but also compact and light power apparatuses are needed. To improve the insulation performance, the high E field concentration phenomena was considered. Breakdown mechanism in vacuum is different from that in other insulation materials. therefore, It is necessary to understand the electric field distribution and insulation characteristics. This paper discusses the simulation and LI(light impulse) test of the shield of outside vacuum interrupter As a result, FEM simulation and LI test show that improve distribution of electrical field and equi-potential line. due to external shield. in this case, outside shield induced electric field of triple junction point.

  • In rotating systems, backlash imposed limitations on the quality of control. System with gear is an example where this is a well-known limitation. In order to increase the controller performance, We design a fuzzy system to compensate the delay. we prove that under certain conditions the fuzzy compensator guarantees that the backlash output converges to the desired trajectory. Simulation results show that the fuzzy compensator is robust to the backlash parameter.

  • For the control of robotic manipulators with unknown or uncertain dynamics, leaming control schemes are very effective control schemes for repeated trajectory following tasks. In this class of controllers, control techniques using neural networks have been gaining much attention in recent years.. In this note, we discuss the leaming control techniques using neural networks and propose a new model-based control scheme using multilayered neural networks. Three-layerd neural network is used as a feedback controller to compensate the mismatched terms between model plant and real plant. Computer simulations are performed to show the applicability and the limitation of the proposed controller.

  • Insulator that is used in electric power equipment superannuation and being damaged disorder can. Such as defected insulator has repair or change must because defective influence in electrical equipment. There are many method developed for detecting the defected insulators, analyzed various test of devide voltage, electric field, ultrasonic and discharge pulse. But methods of detecting ultrasonic of discharge, electric field or leakage current could not application in the field, In this paper, we compare the advantage and the limitation of the method to detect defected insulator, and wish proposed using corona camera.

  • Flow and compressive strength of slag mortars activated by $MgNO_3$ were measured to examine the significance and limitation for the use of Mg-ion as an alkali-activator. The compressive strength of mortars tested was significantly dependent on the addition amount of $MgNO_3$, showing that 30~60% higher strength was developed in water-cured mortars than in air-cured mortars.

  • Modern electronic devices such as tablets and smartphones are getting more powerful and efficient. The demand in feature sets, functionality and usability increase exponentially and this has posed a great challenge to the design of a power distribution network (PDN). Power rails merging is a popular option used today in a PDN design as numerous power rails are no longer feasible due to form factor limitation and cost constraint. In this paper, the criteria and limitations for power rails merging are discussed. Despite having all the advantages such as pin count reduction, decoupling capacitors sharing, lower impedance and cost saving, power rails merging can however, introduce coupling noise to the system. In view of this, a PDN design with power rails merging that fulfills design recommendations and specifications such as noise target, power well placement, voltage supply values as well as power supply quadrant assignment is extremely important.

  • For two kinds of the multi-stage centrifugal pump with diffuser vanes and return channel vanes the meanline performance prediction is applied to get information of hydraulic performance at each internal flow station, because only flange-to-flange test curves are available. As a first step of redesign fur higher efficiency, the impeller geometry is numerically investigated in the present study. Quasi-3D inviscid loading distributions are obtained, for the two impellers, using the state-of-the-art method of impeller 3D design, which provides a guide to optimal redesign. Full 3D turbulent flow fields are thereafter analyzed, using the specialized CFD code, to confirm the redesign results. The inherent limitation of the traditional graphic method of impeller design, which most of domestic pump manufacturers are now employing, is found.

  • An analysis method is developed for the prediction of venting in multiple compartments which are connected in series or parallel through multiple ports. The existing method by the authors is modified to remove the limitation in number of ports and compartments, and the more general polytropic relation or solution of the additional energy equation replaces the previous isentropic relation allowing the prediction of pressure rise in addition to pressure drop. The accuracy of the method is verified by comparison with the results by NASA Flap code for the problem of pressure drop in a payload in the Space Shuttle cargo bay. It is expected that this method will be a useful tool in prediction of the pressure variation in a payload or payload capsule without mentioning the payload fairing itself.

  • This paper proposes a new approach to identifying the unknown parameters of continuous LTI systems. For parameter identification in continuous-time systems, the Linear Integral Filter (LIF) method generally has been used in the beginning. Especially, one of the most efficient LIF methods in the literature is to use a weighting function satisfying specific three constraints. In high order systems, even though the weighting function satisfies the three constraints, it is impossible to identify the exact parameters of the systems because of information loss arising from a great amount of magnitude differences among the weighting function and its high-order derivatives.
