This study conducted qualitative research through in-depth interviews on the diffusion process of Korean food in accordance with the length of residence of Chinese students in Korea. As the analysis method, the qualitative analysis method such as NVivo12.0 was used, and the analysis was performed through word frequency, word cloud, and coding matrix. The images of taste of Korean food were revealed as 'Spicy', 'Sweet', and 'Light taste' by both short-term Chinese residents and long-term Chinese residents. The long-term Chinese residents showed their dissatisfaction with the institutional food, and they also pointed out the importance of the matter of cooking for quick adaptation to life in Korea. The long-term Chinese residents also thought of Korean food as 'High-fiber food', and this was influenced by the 'Less-oil' cooking method of Korean food, which is different from the cooking method of Chinese food. The length of residence was used as a main variable of this study, and it was one of the factors having positive effects on the diffusion of Korean food and acculturation. It would be difficult to generalize the results because this study used the convenience sampling method and snowball sampling.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the technical pattern and product characteristics of outdoor sportswear marketed in Northern Europe and North America. Based on the results of this study, we wanted to provide practical data on the characteristics of products with high functionality and fashionability for developing outdoor sportswear. Therefore, in this study, technical pattern, textiles, details, sewing, compatibility with wearable devices, and certification of 33 marketed outdoor sportswear were analyzed. After analyzing various technical patterns, the bent arm pattern using two-piece panel and a raised arm pattern connecting the side seam with the inner seam of the sleeve appeared on the top. Additionally, the patterns of bent legs with darts in the knee, cutting the posterior, and inserting the gusset in the crotch were mainly seen in the bottoms. By analyzing product characteristics, ergonomic pattern design for easy activity and functional materials was used for climate adaptation in extreme outdoor wear. On the other hand, for outdoor wear meant for trekking or hiking, details, such as portability and easy storage, were considered. Eco-friendly materials were used while ensuring light weight and comfort. Furthermore, for convenience of life, safety, and health, wearable devices were integrated into the outdoor sportswear. Eco-friendly green certification of outdoor products was obtained for the labor environment and production process, and relevant information was provided to consumers.

Due to the abundance of information in Nuclear DNA, it has a magnificent phylogenetic resolution. Moreover, because they show biparental inheritance, it has proven to be superior to organelle DNA, which has a limited number of genes and only shows maternal lineage. In particular, the transcriptome, which includes much nuclear DNA but is relatively inexpensive to analyze, can provide valuable insights into evolution through selection analysis and enable gene function research. This study's dataset includes 45 transcriptomes (16 generated for this study). It aims to explore the evolutionary history of Apioideae by comparing the results of the phylogenetic analysis with gene tree discordance and chloroplast phylogeny. The results confirmed the taxonomic positions of Peucedanum terebinthaceum, Ligusticum tachiroei, and Cymopterus melanotilingia and proposed a genus change for Glehnia littoralis. High gene tree discordances were identified in recently diverged clades, suggesting frequent hybridization and introgression. In the most recently diverged tribe of Selineae, the highest number of PSGs (positively selected genes) has been confirmed, which is inferred to be due to the geological and climatic diversity of their originated habitat, Central Asia. These genes include those related to responses to growth and drought, oxidative, and salt stress. In particular, the CYP97A gene confirmed as PSGs in Bupleurum latissimum is inferred to be a result of adaptation to the light-limited environment of Ulleungdo Island, as it is associated with the efficiency of photosynthesis.
This paper proposes a ontology of tree structure approach for adaptive object recognition in a situation-variant environment. In this paper, we introduce a new concept, ontology of tree structure ontology, for context sensitivity, as we found that many developed systems work in a context-invariant environment. Due to the effects of illumination on a supreme obstinate designing context-sensitive recognition system, we have focused on designing such a context-variant system using ontology of tree structure. Ontology can be defined as an explicit specification of conceptualization of a domain typically captured in an abstract model of how people think about things in the domain. People produce ontologies to understand and explain underlying principles and environmental factors. In this research, we have proposed context ontology, context modeling, context adaptation, and context categorization to design ontology of tree structure based on illumination criteria. After selecting the proper light-ontology domain, we benefit from selecting a set of actions that produces better performance on that domain. We have carried out extensive experiments on these concepts in the area of object recognition in a dynamic changing environment, and we have achieved enormous success, which will enable us to proceed on our basic concepts.

Introduction: This study was conducted to evaluate ssrA expression resulting from adaptation of Escherichia coli (E. coli) to oral pathogens through signal exchange. Materials and Methods: Human cell lines Hep2 and HT29, wild-type E. coli (WT K-12), ssrA knock-out E. coli (${\Delta}K$-12), and Scleropages aureus (S. aureus) were used. A single culture consisting of Hep2, HT29, WT K-12, and ${\Delta}K$-12, and mixed cultures consisting of Hep2 and WT K-12, Hep2 and ${\Delta}K$-12, WT K-12 and S. aureus, ${\Delta}K$-12 and S. aureus, and Hep2, WT K-12, and S. aureus were prepared. For HT29, a mixed culture was prepared with WT K-12 and with WT K-12 and S. aureus. Total RNA was extracted from each culture with the resulting expression of ssrA, nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-${\kappa}B$), and p53 was evaluated by Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results: The expression of ssrA in a single culture of WT K-12 was lower than that observed in the mixed culture of WT K-12 with S. aureus. Greater ssrA expression was observed in the mixed culture of WT K-12 with Hep2 than in the single culture of WT K-12. The expression of NF-${\kappa}B$ was higher in the mixed culture of Hep2 with ${\Delta}K$-12 than that in the mixed culture of Hep2 with WT K-12, and was lowest in the single culture of Hep2. The expression of ssrA was higher in the mixed culture of WT K-12 with Hep2 and S. aureus than in the mixed culture of WT K-12 with Hep2. Conclusion: These results suggest that ssrA plays an important role in the mechanism of E. coli adaptation to a new environment.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to help the rapid and effective eye-tests of old patients by developing an optometric questionnaire for the elderly suitable for optical shops in Korea. Methods: We surveyed several previous studies about the age-related changes of the eye, and deduced 10 items which were appropriate for optometric eye-tests. Excluding the items that could be easily found in a routine eye-test and that was just physiological changes, we principally chose anomaly items which could be catched by simple oral questions. The questionnaire was mainly composed of clinically important items that were frequently observed. Results: To diagnose optometric symptoms related to eye-aging, we listed 15 questions on the questionnaire for the elderly. Each of the 15 questions was respectively about the decline in the amplitude of accommodation (no.1), anisometropia (no.2), xerophthalmia (no.3), muscae volitantes (no.4-5), dark adaptation (no.6) light and dark adaptation (no.7), contrast sensitivity (no.8), contrast sensitivity and anisometropia (no.9), contrast sensitivity and colour vision (no.10), the field of view (no.11), stereoscopic vision (no.12), colour vision (no.13), cataract (no.14), and presbyopia (no.15). Each question was easy to understand and related to the generally observed symptoms. Conclusions: Our optometric questionnaire for the elderly, which was developed by the procedure mentioned above, was expected to be a help for examining the aging eye and offer the basis of eye-tests of older patients in Korean optical shops.
The present study was to elucidate the cytochemical study on the cytochrome oxidase (CO) activity and myocardial adaptation to treadmill exercise in rat. The three month Sprague-Dowley male $(150{\pm}10g)$ were used in experimental animal. The experimental groups were divided into 2 groups: the normal sedentary group and the treadmill exercise group. On each 1st and 3rd day, 1st, 4th, 8th, and 12th experimental week four rats of each group were sacrificed for tests. The morphometrical measurements were used to evalute the change of heart weight, rate of myocardial fibers to capillaries, and cytochemical study of CO activities, using light and electron microscopy. The results were as follows: The heart weights were more increased in the treadmill exercise group than those of their sedentary group. The rate of myocardial fibers to capillaries were not changed in sedentary group, but those were significantly from 4th weeks in the treadmill exercise group. The CO activity was not changed in sedentary group, but increased in treadmill exercise group after 1 st week. I and III types of CO activity were increased In sedentary group, in contast to II and III types in treadmill exercise group on electron micrographic study. These results suggest that, the treadmill exercise-induced changes in CO activity and rate of myocardial fibers to capillaries appear to be related to exercise, and the adaptive response seems to occurs from 4th week of treadmill exercise.

Development of mountain area is increasing due to the demand for improvement of traffic convenience and development of underdeveloped area. Therefore, there frequently are sections where tunnels and interchanges are located close to each other. These sections do not only affect tunnel planning, types and length of interchanges, but also affect more on route selection. In Korea, several design criteria present each reference value but these values are very similar. In the situation, the minimum value among them is usually applied when planning roads and it could cause traffic safety problems in different site conditions. In this study, the problems of design speed, illuminance adaptation distance, and lane change intervals are analyzed by simulating the cases that the problem could occur when calculating the separation distance between tunnel and interchange. The results obtained from this study can be summarized as following: the driving speed should be applied in case that the site has a big gap between design speed and driving speed because the uniform application of the design speed is not safe; the illuminance adaptation distance should include the influence distance in the section affected by the direct light; in addition, the lane change distance should include the time to perceive the situation of the next lane after the lane change in the section required for successive lane change.
This study was to compare the microshear bond strength $({\mu}SBS)$ of light- and chemically cured composites to enamel coupled with four 2-step self-etch adhesives and also to evaluate the incompatibility between 2-step self-etch adhesives and chemically cured composite resin. Crown segments of extracted human molars were cut mesiodistally, and a 1 mm thickness of specimen was made. They were assigned to four groups by adhesives used: SE group (Clearfil SE Bond) AdheSE group (AdheSE), Tyrian group (Tyrian SPE/One-Step Plus), and Contax group (Contax) Each adhesive was applied to a cut enamel surface as per the manufacturer's instruction. Light-cured (Filtek Z250) or chemically cured composite (Luxacore Smartmix Dual) was bonded to the enamel of each specimen using a Tygon tube. After storage in distilled water for 24 hours, the bonded specimens were subjected to ${\mu}SBS$ testing with a crosshead speed of 1 mm/minute. The mean ${\mu}SBS$ (n=20 for each group) was statistically compared using two-way ANOVA, Tukey HSD, and t test at 95% level. Also the interface of enamel and composite was evaluated under FE-SEM. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. The ${\mu}SBS$ of the SE Bond group to the enamel was significantly higher than that of the AdheSE group, the Tyrian group, and the Contax group in both the light-cured and the chemically cured composite resin (p < 0.05). 2. There was not a significant difference among the hdheSE group, the Tyrian group, and the Contax group in both the light-cured and the chemically cured composite resin. 3. The ${\mu}SBS$ of the light-cured composite resin was significantly higher than that of the chemically cured composite resin when same adhesive was applied to the enamel (p < 0.05). 4. The interface of enamel and all 2-step self-etch adhesives showed close adaptation, and so the incompatibility of the chemically cured composite resin did not show.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of step-curing mode on polymerization shrinkage and contraction of composite resin restoration. Class I cavities were prepared on the extracted human premolars. The cavities were ailed with Filtek $Z-250^{TM}$ (hybrid resin, 3M ESPE, USA) and Filtek $flow^{TM}$ (flowable resin, 3M ESPE, USA) and cured with one of the following irradiation modes; Halogen 40sec with continuous curing, LED 10sec with continuous curing, and LED 13sec with step-curing. Contraction stress was measured with strain gauge which was connected to TML $Datalogger^{TM}$ (TDS-102, SOKKI, Japan) and resin-dentin interfaces were observed by scanning electron microscope. The results of present study can be summarized as follows : 1. Composite resin restoration showed transient expansion just after irradiation of curing light. Contraction stress was increased rapidly at the early phase of polymerization and reduced slowly as time elapsed (P<0.05) 2. $Filtek\;flow^{TM}$ showed lower contraction stress than Filtek $Z-250^{TM}$ regardless of curing modes. 3. LED step-curing mode showed lowest contraction stress in Filtek $Z-250^{TM}$ compared with other curing modes(P<0.05). 4. LED step-curing mode showed lowest contraction stress in $Filtek\;flow^{TM}$ compared with other curing modes(P<0.05), but difference in contraction stress was not so greate as in $Filtek\;Z-250^{TM}$. 5. Polymerization of composite resin by LED light with step-curing mode and halogen light with continuous ode resulted in better marginal sealing than LED light with continuous mode.
