본 연구는 상층부 연구로서 한국적 상황에서 이주민들에 대한 차별과 편견을 생성하는 사회적 기제를 분석하고자 했다. 질적연구방법인 생애사 연구로 접근했다. 연구에는 반 다문화적 성향이 강한 한국인 10명이 참여했다. 자료는 심층면담을 통해 수집했고 수집된 자료를 기초로 개별 생애사 텍스트를 구성했다. 생애사 텍스트는 Mandelbaum(1973)이 제안한 분석틀에 의거하여 삶의 영역, 전환점, 적응을 분석했다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 연구자는 이주민 배제의 생성기제로 ① 동일지평의 기획, ② 새로운 희생양 찾기, ③ 열등감의 전이를 제시했다. 연구결과에 근거하여 연구자는 「교차문화교육」, 「내국인들이 참여하는 통합프로그램」, 「이주민들과 내국인들의 갈등을 조절하는 지역사회차원에서의 거점센터 설치와 전문인력 양성」을 제안했다.

Nondestructive inspection and accompanying life analysis based on fracture mechanics were the major conventional methods for evaluating remaining life of critical high temperature components in power plants. By using these conventional methods, it has been difficult to perform in-service inspection for life prediction. Also, quantitative damage evaluation due to unexpected abrupt changes in operating temperature was almost impossible. Thus, many efforts have been made for evaluating remaining life during operation of the plants and predicting real-time life usage values based on the shape of structures, operating history, and material properties. In this study, a core software for on-line life monitoring system which carries out real-time life evaluation of a critical component in power boiler(high temperature steam headers) is developed. The software is capable of evaluating creep and fatigue life usage from the real-time stress data calculated by using temperature/stress transfer Green functions derived for the specific headers and by counting transient cycles. The major benefits of the developed software lie in determining future operating schedule, inspection interval, and replacement plan by monitoring real-time life usage based on prior operating history.

Objectives: Understanding patterns of quality of life in people who inject drugs (PWID) can help healthcare providers plan and manage their health problems in a more focused manner. Therefore, the current study aimed to identify patterns of health-related quality of life in PWID in southeast Iran. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in southeast Iran on men who had injected drugs at least once during the last year. We used convenience sampling in 2 drop-in centers and venue-based sampling at 85 venues. Demographic characteristics, high-risk behaviors, and health-related quality of life were evaluated using the 5-level EQ-5D version (EQ-5D-5L) questionnaire. Latent profile analysis was used to identify patterns of quality of life. Results: This study enrolled 398 PWID, who had a mean age of 34.1±11.4 years. About 47.9% reported a prison history in the last 10 years, 59.2% had injected drugs in the last month, and 31.6% had a history of sharing syringes. About 46.3% reported having 2 or more sexual partners in the last 6 months, and 14.7% had a history of sex with men. Out of the 5 EQ-5D-5L profiles, the fifth profile had the most people (36.6%). Most variations in quality of life were related to pain and discomfort. Conclusions: We showed that the pain and discomfort dimension of EQ-5D-5L had more variation in PWID. This finding will be useful for allocating appropriate interventions and resources to promote health-related quality of life in this population.

The purpose of this research is to survey minpo(the nations pojagi), especially supo(the embroidered pojagi), of the Yi Chosun of Korea during the nineteenth century. This study explores the history and background of minpo, its characteristics, including forms, designs, materials, and how they related to women's daily life during the Yi Chosun in social and cultural aspects. There were minpos for use in everyday life as well as for special occasions such as weddings, funerals and religions rites, including Buddhist and other services. The research undertaken here is done by classifying minpos according to composition, design, pattern and motif.

This study maintains that settlement and dwelling system reflects socio-cultural value of the people to express their image of ideal-life and intrinsic way of life. To demonstrate it, the study is conducted on a cross-cultural perspective. Through the study, it is shown that the character and content of the settlement and dwelling system is largely generated by the result of a choice among possible alternatives, which provides the theoretical base of the settlement and dwelling system.

본 논문에서는 괴델의 삶과 업적을 소개하고, 그의 불완전성정리의 함의하는 바가 인식론적이고 윤리적인 의미를 가지는 여백을 확보하는데 있다는 것을 주장한다. 그리고 그 함의가 '여백의 철학'을 지지함을 논의한다.

In this study, Two kinds of pad models with different configurations as the part of brake system are investigated by structural and fatigue analyses. As the maximum equivalent stress of model 2 becomes higher to the extent of 60% than that of model 1, model 2 can endure more load than model 1. In cases of two kinds of models, the maximum fatigue life at 'Sample history' becomes longer 60 times than 'SAE bracket history' and this life in case of 'SAE transmission' becomes longer 3.5 times than the case of 'SAE bracket history'. Maximum fatigue damages in cases of 'SAE bracket history', 'SAE transmission' and 'Sample history' at model 1 become higher than model 2. Model 2 is thought to have more fatigue durability than model 1. These study results can be effectively utilized with the design of brake pad by anticipating and investigating prevention and durability against its fatigue damage.

오일러의 탄생 300주년을 기념하여 2007년에 세계 각국에서는 각종 학술행사가 계획되고, 미국에는 오일러의 업적을 온라인상에 모아놓은 Euler Archive가 생겼다. 본 글에서는 Euler Archive의 활용을 제안하는 한편, 현재에 이르기까지 수학사상 가장 많은 업적을 일궈낸 오일러의 삶을 간단히 돌아보고, 그가 증명한 수학 정리들 중에서 가장 대표적인 10개의 정리들에 대한 배경과 수학 지식세계에 미친 영향을 살펴봄으로써 오일러의 탄생 300주년을 축하하고자 한다.
