공공도서관 사서의 감정노동수준이 직무만족 및 도서관정보서비스 제공수준에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Emotional Labor Level on the Level of Job Satisfaction and Library Information Service Provision in Public Library Librarians)

  • 본 연구는 공공도서관 사서의 감정노동수준이 직무만족 및 도서관정보서비스 제공수준에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 것이다. 감정노동수준을 독립변수로, 직무만족과 도서관정보서비스 제공수준을 종속변수로, 조직문화를 조절변수로 설정하였다. 서울시 공공도서관 사서 220명을 무작위로 선정하여 인터넷으로 설문지를 배포하여 수거하였고, SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 활용하여 신뢰도 분석, 상관계수분석, 다중회귀분석, 조절회귀분석을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 공공도서관 사서는 이용자에게 자신의 감정을 표현하는 것을 좋아하지 않고, 실제 감정과는 다르게 더 긍정적으로 표현하고자 함을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 사서들은 감정노동을 경험하지만, 업무를 수행하는 데 있어 오히려 성취감을 느끼고, 하고 있는 일에 대해 자랑스럽고 기쁘게 생각하게 된다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이는 자신이 하는 일이 전문적인 일이라는 인식이 강하므로, 감정노동을 경험해도 그것을 극복해야 하며, 그렇게 함으로써 직무에 대한 긍지를 가질 수 있다. 셋째, 사서들은 감정노동을 경험하게 되더라도, 합리적인 직무평가가 목표를 가지고 실시되고, 직원들 간의 관계가 좋다면 업무에 있어 성취감을 높일 수 있다. 또한 직원의 평가가 실적위주이더라도, 사서들은 이용자가 그들의 서비스에 만족하고, 그 서비스 수준이 적절하다면, 봉사 정신을 높일 수 있다.

문헌정보학과의 데이터 사이언스 커리큘럼 개발 실태와 방향성 고찰 (Study on the Current Status of Data Science Curriculum in Library and Information Science and its Direction)

  • 본 연구는 69개의 iSchool에서 데이터 사이언스 관련 교과가 어떻게 제공되고 있는지를 파악하고, 국내 교과와 비교하여 방향성을 제시한다. iSchool은 건강, 기술, 바이오 분야를 비롯한 관련 분야로 그 교과 영역을 확장하는 현상이 두드러진다. 하지만, 국내 교과에서는 인접학문과 융합하려는 현상은 활발하게 관찰되지 않았다. 데이터를 어떻게 처리하고 관리할 것인지에 대한 영역 역시 iSchool이 집중하는 분야인데, 일반적인 데이터 사이언스, 데이터 관리, 데이터 보안 등에 중점을 둔 교과가 제공되고 있다. 데이터를 저장하는 방식에 대한 교과 분류는 '데이터베이스' 관련 교과의 비중이 높았으며, 비슷한 비중으로 통계와 분석법이 제공되고 있었다. iSchool의 교과를 분석하고 국내 사례와 비교해 본 결과 본 논문은 국내 문헌정보학이 데이터 사이언스 관련 교과를 확대하고, 병진 데이터 사이언스로의 역할을 강화하며, 수리적 분석 능력을 키우는 교과를 개발하되, 특성화된 교과를 발굴하여 실험적인 수업을 제공하고, 기술과 상호작용하는 지식을 제공해야 할 것을 제안한다.

  • 다양한 종류의 기록물 중 전자매체를 제외한 고유한 형태의 문서 자료를 보존하는 데 있어 중요한 요인이 되는 생산된 종이 재질에 포함된 PH 함유량, 온${\cdot}$습도를 위시한 서고내 보존 환경을 소개하며, 실제 소장중인 문서가 폐손되었을 때 적용하는 래미네이팅 문서 수선법 등을 소개하여 낙후된 국내 기록보존 분야에 대한 단초를 제공하여 기록물 관련 유관 기관들이 기록물의 정보 제공 및 박물관 역할을 함께하는 문화 유산의 보고로 자리 매김을 하게 하는 것이다.

실험대학 과제도서실 운영에 관한 조사연구 (A Research Survey on the Reserved Book System of Pilot Universities in Korea)

  • This is a survey of the reserved book system in the pilot universities in Korea. We have surveyed only 22 university libraries among 29 pilot schools as of 1977, because of the differences in the library users, library organization, library facilities, and library materials between universities and colleges. In 1972, the Korean Ministry of Education developed a reformation plan for their higher education based on the teaching method of curriculum-oriented faculty instead of that of the faculty-oriented curriculum. The former puts emphasis on the cultivation of a student's thinking, creativity, and judgement through self-teaching to do a given assignment. The reserved book system in a college or university library is one of the most important methods necessary to accomplish the above educational aim. The survey used a questionnaire with 50 question on 28 items concerning the various aspects of the reserved book system in 22 pilot universities. the survey result discovered many problems needing correction. The following list describes the measures needed to correct the problems found in the pilot universities. 1. The management of a centralized reserved book system is much more effective and economical than the decentralized reserved book system when a university is located on the same campus. 2. In the university library, an independent reserved book department requires to gain the desired educational aims as compared with the reserved book room controlled by any other department in the library. 3. The reserved book system should not be adopted by all the departments at once but enlarged gradually, for it needs the understanding and support of faculty members and the university itself. 4. As competence is essential to the effective operation of the reserved book room, the university library should not place an unqualified person in charge of the reserved book department. 5. The librarian in charge of the reserved book department is required to do more professional works such as analysis of users, collection and analysis of syllabuses, maintenance of faculty member cooperation, establishment of measures to acquire unavailable materials, and drawing up an effective management plan. However, he is spending most of his time in clerical works, that is, non-professional works. 6. Three to five titles of each reserved book are considered reasonable and required materials should be shelved in proportion to the number of students, that is, one copy per eight or ten students if the materials are allowed to lend for two hours at a time. For the supplementary materials, the library needs to place two or three copies per subject. 7. Professors must select reserved books with care so that they can be used year after year. 8. Few universities are asking professors the number of class students and the date when the reserved material will no longer be needed on reserve. 9. The library should gather all the lists of reserved books from every professor at least three to five months before the courses open, because it takes a long time to obtain foreign materials. 10. It is desirable that the reserved book department should collect the lists and prepare the materials with promptness and consistency. 11. Instead of block buying, it is desirable to purchase reserved books at the time the library gets the reserved book list from the professors. The library should also inform faculty members whether it obtained each reserved book or not before the course open. 12. The library should make a copy of materials if a professor requires to reserve an out-of-print book or partial contents of a book, journal, and thesis. 13. An independent budger for reserved books from the budget for general materials is desired. 14. The shelf arrangement of reserved books by courses or professors under the same department is much more preferable than a classified arrangement. 15. While most of the universities adopted the open shelves system for all the reserved books, it is more effective and economical to take a compromise system, that is, closed shelves for requires materials and open shelves for supplementary materials. 18. Circulation of reserved books needs a different system between required materials and supplementary materials: two or three hours and/or overnight loan for the former and two and/or three days loan for the latter. 17. A reserved book room should be open a long time after class so that students can have sufficient time to use the room. 18. The library must take daily and monthly statistic as well as statistics on every aspect of the reserved book system in order that the library ma decide on policy and management of the reserved book room in collaboration with the university. Furthermore, regular reports on the use of the reserved book room should be made to the president and the executive council by the library to acquire their understanding and cooperation for the reserved book system. 19. Cooperation of faculty members is indispensable to the effective management of the reserved book department and it is desirable to make a committee which will fix various decisions about the system. Whenever the director of the library make his decision, he must consult with his staff in order to involve them earnestly in the operation of the system.

  • The development and evolution of near infra-red spectroscopic (NIS) calibrations for high-moisture materials is an expensive proposition. Such investment is suspect unless the instrument, or instruments, on which calibrations were developed can be preserved intact or re-standardized as component replacements occurs. The objective of this paper is to detail the changes in performance of a six-year old instrument after maintenance in years five and six resulted in collection of spectral data that was increasingly removed from the calibration population. Calibrations for the analysis of mature sugarcane stalks, a high-moisture material, were developed successfully in 1995 using a broad sample population in terms of genetics, and spectral and temporal variation. The spectral library was further broadened in 1996. In 1997, 1999, 1999, and 2000, additional samples constituting 10% of the laboratories throughput were subjected to full component analyses using routine laboratory techniques. These samples were primarily random samples, but were complemented with samples that were significant for the spectral H statistic or for the component t statistic. In 1998, an additional calibration was developed for populations consisting of samples of either mature stalks (culms) or sucker culms. Substantial additional samples numbers were collected for this calibration in 1999 and 2000. Attempts to standardize the scanning spectrophotometer used for these calibrations with a second similar instrument in 1999 failed because the instruments were optically different, and standardization could not account for this. Maintenance adjustments were made to the remote reflectance probe of the original instrument in 1999, and replacement of its PbS detectors was done in 2000. Spectral data collected in 1999 and 2000 yielded spectral populations that were increasingly removed from the respective spectral populations on which the calibrations were developed. The mature stalk calibrations benefited marginally from evolutionary calib.

정보봉사의 효율을 높이는 요인분석 (A Study on the Factors Increasing the Effectivness of Information Services -with Special Reference to Information Service Units within Research Institutes)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify what are the common characteristics which enable the information management offices of research institutes to provide information services with their companies in effective ways, and furthur, in other to clarify what factors helf the improvement of effectiveness of information services. I have made on-the-spot investigations for the confirmation of present conditions of information service units of research institutes, their statistic data, and their managerial state. I have restricted my research to 36 information service units, as research targets, which are located in Changwon, Choongchong, and Kyongin areas as the reason mentioned in the introduction, and from their research data they keep, I have classified the top 10 information service units as Group A which show the most frequent use or application frequency of research data per a researcher, where as the lowerest 10 information service units are classified as Group B by the same evaluation of application frequency of their data. Then, the result of the comparision between Group A which provide high information services in effective ways and Group B which provide low information services with poor management leads me to identify the following characteristics in terms of the analyses of utilization of the data they process: 1. Those information service units in Group A have more volumes of books and information data, and annual increasing rates of books and informations are higher than those of Group B. 2. The regulations of book circulation in Group A are prescribed for the benefits of users, and if a long-term loan is not permitted, they are allowed to borrow more books at a time than in Group B. 3. The proportion of librarians to researchers is high, the librarians' career is long and their professional education background (the rate of librarians who majored in library science and information) is high In Group A. 4. Most of the directors of information service units are those who majored library science and information, and for the most part, librarians are promoted to the directors of information service units in Group A. 5. The information service units are managed directly under the directors of research institutes in their organization in Group A. 6. The information service units offer an education for information utilization to researchers as one of their managerial programs, and the contents of education are diverse, rich and informative in Group A. 7. The kinds of informations are various in Group A such as, SDI, prompt reports of contents of new informations, circulation of newly published publications, translation service, information analyses, critical reviews, etc. 8. The information service units in Group A have joined various cooperative systems which are aimed at cooperation, co-ownership of resources and informations. These findings lead me to argue that the hypothesis suggested in the introduction of this thesis has been proved without exception.

Web기반 공간가상체험의 유효성 검증에 관한 연구 (A Study on the valid verification of virtual space experience through the web)

  • This study researches the effectiveness of virtual experiences as an evaluation method in design. For the study, I researched the result on the spatial recognition before, abstracted visual objects and factors in recognition process and made up 43 inquiries for the evaluation through the experts group. Besides, set the analytical code between recognition factor and spatial constituents, made analysis the result from it. From April 1st to June 30th in 2004, the virtual model of educational place, college main building and city library was established as a subject of the research and studied the result. The methods that are used for the study are frequent analysis, T-test, reliability analysis, factor analysis etc. and SPSSWIN Package is used for the statistic analysis. There were two times of analysis on the evaluation to analyze the effect of virtual models on the web basis, one group evaluated the virtual building same as real and the other group evaluated the building site. Then analyzed the differences and correlation between the two. In result, college building, the first subject of study, and the second city library shows that made little differences between on the spot evaluation and virtual evaluation. Therefore, it is considered that the design evaluation with virtual model on the web basis has a vantage. But some problems founded that solved between preceding and present research through the feedback. It is as follows, 1. detection of problems that insufficience validity in the first survey. 2. found some not-validity inquiries. 3. detection of necessities that qualitative improvement and technical repletion in virtual environment.

색인파일 기반의 질의어 확장용 지식베이스 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study of Designing the Knowledge Base System for the Query Extension by Index File)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 이용자 지향적인 정보검색을 수행하기 위한 질의확장용 지식베이스를 구축하는 것이다. 이를 위해 개념기반 정보검색방법과 통계적 기반 정보검색방법을 이용한 지식베이스 구축에 관련된 다양한 이론 연구를 수행하였다. 이들 지식베이스 구축방법에 있어서 공통된 가설은 연관용어의 출현은 문헌집합내의 동시출현 빈도임을 재확인하였고, 이 가설을 근거로 색인파일 알고리즘과 부울 논리의 And 연산자를 이용하여 질의확장용 지식베이스를 구축하였다. 본 지식베이스의 실험 주제는 교육학이며, 교육학개론이란 단행본을 이용하여 색인어들의 연관용어를 자동으로 제시해줄수 있는 실험용 지식베이스를 구축하였다. 실험용 지식베이스는 자연어색인방법과 통제어색인방법을 이용하여 두 개의 지식베이스를 구축해 각 지식베이스 시스템의 질의확장 성능에 대한 평가 작업을 수행하였다.

서지 데이터베이스에서의 레코드 필드 선택이 검색 성능에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Influence of Choice of Record Fields on Retrieval Performance in the Bibliographic Database)

  • 본 연구에서는 레코드필드 선택이 대규모 서지 데이터베이스 탐색시 미치는 검색 성능에 대하여 관찰하였다. 실험의 구성 요소는 크게 (1) 대규모 상업용 데이터베이스 INSPEC. (2) 관련된 레코드들 (target sets이라고 정의함). (3) 4개의 키워드가 한 세트로 이루어진 4개의 서로 다른 형태의 질의어들 (CT_TF, CT_IDF, UT_TF, UT_IDF), (4) 최적의 질의를 위한 알고리즘, (5) 가능한 모든 경우의 탐색식을 생성해내는 블리언 탐색식 생성기, 그리고 (6) 실제 운영중인 웹 기반의 검색 시스템으로 이뤄졌다. 실험에서의 레코드 필드 선택은 (1) Abstract, (2) Descriptors, (3) Identifiers, (4) 'Subject'(Descriptors + Identifiers). (5) Title. (6) 'All fields'로 정의하여 독립변수로 채택하였다. 검색 성능은 재현율, 정도율을 모두 반영한 Heine의 D측정에 의하여 평가 되었다. 본 연구에서 얻은 주된 결과로는 (1) 필드선택은 검색성능에 중요한 영향을 미치며, (2) 각 검색 성능에서 보여준 순위는 질의어에 따라 민감한 결과를 보였고 (3) 제목(Title)필드 선택이 D측정에서 최적의 결과를 보였다.

용어 클러스터링을 이용한 단일문서 키워드 추출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Keyword Extraction From a Single Document Using Term Clustering)

  • 이 연구에서는 용어 클러스터링을 이용하여 단일문서의 키워드를 추출하는 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 단락단위로 분할한 단일문서를 대상으로 1차 유사도와 2차 분포 유사도를 산출하여 용어 클러스터링을 수행한 결과, 50단어 단락에서 2차 분포 유사도를 적용했을 때 가장 우수한 성능을 나타냈다. 이후, 용어 클러스터링결과를 이용하여 단일문서의 키워드를 추출하기 위해 단순빈도와 상대빈도의 조합을 통해 다양한 키워드 추출 공식을 도출, 적용한 결과, 단락빈도(pf)와 단어빈도$\times$역단락빈도($tf{\times}ipf$) 조건에서 가장 우수한 결과를 나타냈다. 이 결과를 통해, 본 연구에서 제안한 알고리즘은 좋은 키워드가 가져야 할 두 가지 조건인 주제성과 고른 빈도분포라는 측면에서 단일문서를 대상으로 효과적으로 키워드를 추출할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
