This paper investigated a method for classifying emotional states by using pulse wave signal. It focused on finding effective features for emotional state classification. The emptional states considered here consisted of interest and neutral. Classification experiments utilized 65 and 60 samples of interest and neutral states respectively. We have investigated 19 features derived from pulse wave signals by using both time domain and frequency domain analysis methods with 2 classifiers of minimum distance (normalized Euclidean distanece) and ${\kappa}$-Nearest Neighbour. The Leave-one-out cross validation was used as an evaluation mehtod. Based on experimental results, the most efficient features were a combination of 4 features consisting of (i) the mean of the first differences of the smoothed pulse rate time series signal, (ii) the mean of absolute values of the second differences of thel normalized interbeat intervals, (iii) the root mean square successive difference, and (iv) the power in high frequency range in normalized unit, which provided 80.8% average accuracy with ${\kappa}$-Nearest Neighbour classifier.

Traditionally most of studies on voluntary turnover have focused on identifying the determinants of it under the implicit assumption that negative attitudue raises turnover rate and, in turn, it undermines organizational effectiveness. But, recently many scholars have argued that more focus be placed on the functionalty than the frequency of turnover. Based on the recent trend of voluntary turnover, this paper is to analyse the differences of the Intention to Leave(IL) level according to job characteristics(job variety, job importance, job autonomy, job identity, feedback)$\times$functionality(employee ability, attitude). Resulting from 2-way ANOVA, the Negative-attitude Group(NG) is found to expose significantly high IL level than the Affirmative-attitude Group(AG) in low job variety, low job autonomy, low job importance.

In Gerotor pump, the pressure pulsations which occur due to the pump geometry result in vibration and noise of pump elements as well as cavitation in hydraulic system when the chambers of gerotor enter the delivery port and leave the suction port. Therefore it is important to study on the pressure pulsations before design and analysis of characteristics in Gerotor pump. In this paper, to reduce the unnecessary pressure pulsations, the port plate of Gerotor pump is designed based on the notch of the vane pumps and the relief grove of the piston pumps. The theoretical analysis of the pressure pulsations is performed in consideration of design parameters of the port plate which include each port positions and groove width and operating conditions which include rotational velocity and delivery pressure.

Primordial germ cells (PGCs) in aves are the progenitor cells for the gametes. These cells first appear in the epiblast (Eyal-Giladi et al.. 1981). Then translocate and concentrate to endoderm of germinal crescent area in the junction of the area opaca and area pellucida lateral to the primitive streak in stage 4 through 7. They separate from the endoderm, temporarily circulate via the blood vascular system, leave the blood vessels, and finally settle down in the gonadal anlagen at stage 20-24 where they rapidly proliferate to form germ cells. Recently, several attempts have been made to introduce foreign gene into the avian genome to form a transgenic chicken. The stem cells most readily available as vehicles for genetic manipulation of germline in avian species are the PGCs. PGCs have recently been manipulated genetically and used successfully as a vector for gene transfer.

This study focused on the system regarding leave of absence in relation to family welfare, which has become a routine in some western countries, in three different perspectives. Those were the relations between reduced working hours and quality of life, maternal recreation, and finally, relations between infrastructure of vacation and culture. Systematic settlement of reduced working hours and maternal recreation in Germany allowed more time among family members and made large contribution to the improvement of family welfare in general. Since the stability of society is strongly based on the stability of family, Germany deserved to be case-studied as a good model. The recent tendency shows that Korean workers are starting to spend more time with their own family members than with their colleagues, and, as seen in the case of Germany, the stability of family welfare will improve if various infrastructures for family leisure are properly established in Korea.

We propose a mechanism for the formation of pinholes in the Si-buffer layer, through the observations with varying the process- and structure variables in the SEPOX (selective poly-oxidation) process, an isolation method for sub-u DRAMs. Pinholes are formed through the accumulation of Si vacancies generated by the oxidation of Si, in which Si atoms leave the sites (vacancies) at the Si/SiO$_{2}$ interfaces and diffuse into the oxide to be oxidized near interface. In the course of the accumulation of Si-vacancies, the stress induced in the Si-buffer layer affects the migration of vacancies to result in the final size and distribution of pinholes. This paper may be, to our knowledge, the first report about the oxidation-induced pinhole in the Si/SiO$_{2}$ system.

Due to the popularity of mobile phones, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) content sharing in mobile phones is highly desirable, especially in a mobile data connection. In addition, there has been an increasing demand for content sharing applications for P2P communication in Android-based smartphones as ubiquitous mobile devices. However, due to wireless network limits, unstable characteristic and restricted storage space, mobile users confront challenges in establishing connections and sharing video frames with other users. To solve this issue, we propose an architectural design and implementation of key frame sharing application that uses Chord, a distributed lookup protocol to establish a content sharing platform for mobile devices, combined with the Chord SDK based on Android. Our proposed system enables users easily to share key information on video data in real-time over a wireless network without manual processing of devices which join or leave the group and cost associated with the 3G/4G network.

Software testing during development and operation should exercise to obtain the desired software quality and leave failure data set. So far, many software reliability models are classified and can be used to measure a software reliability only based on its failure history But, in practice, developers or testers of software systems must decide which existing software reliability model can be fitted. In this paper, we will show that an appropriate reliability model can be selected by considering relations between characteristics of each testing environment and models' assumptions. Several methods of software testing are presented and discussed. Also, unit test, integrated test, function test and system test that are sequentially exercised during development will be introduced.

Crane operation for transporting heavy loads causes swinging motion at the loads. This sway causes the suspension ropes to leave their grooves and leads to possibility of serious damages. Generally crane is operated by expert's knowledge. Therefore, a satisfactory control method to supress object sway during transport is indispensible. The dynamic behavior of the crane shows nonlinear characteristics. when the length of the rope is changed the crane is time varying system and the design of anti-sway controller is very difficult. In this paper, the nonlinear dynamic model for the industrial overhead crane is derived. and the feedback gain matrix based on the pole-placement method is proposed to supress the swing motion and control the position of the crane. The performance of the controller for the crane model is simulated on the personal computer.
