머신러닝을 활용한 뇌졸중 환자의 기능적 결과 예측: 체계적 고찰 (Predicting Functional Outcomes of Patients With Stroke Using Machine Learning: A Systematic Review)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 뇌졸중 환자의 기능적 결과를 예측하기 위한 인구통계학적 및 임상학적 특징과 머신러닝의 사용을 체계적으로 분석하고 요약하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구방법 : PubMed, CINAHL과 Web of Science를 사용하여 2010년부터 2021년 사이에 게재된 연구를 검색하였다. 주요 검색어는 "machine learning OR data mining AND stroke AND function OR prediction OR/AND rehabilitation"을 사용하였다. 뇌 이미지 처리 기법만을 분석한 연구, 딥러닝만 적용한 연구와 전체 본문을 열람할 수 없는 연구는 제외되었다. 결과 : 검색한 결과, 총 9편의 국내외 논문을 선정했다. 선정된 논문에서 가장 많이 사용된 머신러닝 알고리즘은 서포트 벡터 머신(support vector machine, 19.05%)과 랜덤포레스트(random forest, 19.05%)였다. 9개 중 7개의 연구에서 뇌졸중 환자의 기능을 예측하기 위해 중요하다고 추출된 변수를 결과로 제시했다. 그 결과, 5개(55.56%)의 연구에서 뇌졸중 환자의 기능을 예측하기 위해 환자의 임상적 특성이 아닌 modified ranking scale (mRS) 및 functional independence measure (FIM)과 같은 초기 또는 퇴원 평가 점수가 중요하다고 도출되었다. 결론 : 이 연구는 mRS 및 FIM과 같은 뇌졸중 환자의 초기 또는 퇴원 평가 점수가 임상적 특성보다 기능적 결과에 더 많은 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 나타냈다. 따라서, 뇌졸중 환자의 기능적 결과를 향상시키기 위한 최적의 중재를 개발하고 적용하기 위해서는 뇌졸중 환자의 초기 및 퇴원 시 기능적 결과를 평가하고 검토하는 것이 필요하다.

이러닝에서 교수자 역할이 학습성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (Study on the Instructors' Factors Affecting Student Performance Under e-Learning Environment)

  • 이러닝 도입의 긍정적 효과를 기대하는 대학의 입장에서 교수자들의 이러닝 수용의지와 활용능력은 중요한 변수이다. 교수자들은 교수적 역할을 포함하여 컨텐트 전문가, 교육과정 설계자, 그래픽 전문가, 미디어 감독, 프로그래머 역할까지 모두 수행해야 할 수도 있다. 본 연구는 이러닝의 교수자 역할이 이러닝의 성공요인, 학습성과에 미치는 영향요인을 제안하고자 한다.

Entrepreneurial Learning and Indian Tech Startup Survival: An Empirical Investigation

  • This paper investigates the linkage between the mode of transformation of entrepreneurial learning into outcomes and the subsequent impact of these learning outcomes in enhancing the survival of high-tech startups in India. The study uses data from 45 high-tech startups headquartered across different locations in India for the purpose of analysis. Survival Analysis of the data is conducted to determine which mode of learning transformation and what type of en trepreneurial decision making preference have a significant influence on the survival of Indian high-tech startups and to what extent do they impact their survival. The results indicate that entrepreneur's prior startup experience, explorative mode of learning transformation, causal decision making of the entrepreneur and availability of funding for the startup as the key factors that reduce the time to survival of Indian high-tech startups. They also provide key insights on how these factors impact the startup survival in this region.

  • Feature Selection have turned into the main point of investigations particularly in bioinformatics where there are numerous applications. Deep learning technique is a useful asset to choose features, anyway not all calculations are on an equivalent balance with regards to selection of relevant features. To be sure, numerous techniques have been proposed to select multiple features using deep learning techniques. Because of the deep learning, neural systems have profited a gigantic top recovery in the previous couple of years. Anyway neural systems are blackbox models and not many endeavors have been made so as to examine the fundamental procedure. In this proposed work a new calculations so as to do feature selection with deep learning systems is introduced. To evaluate our outcomes, we create relapse and grouping issues which enable us to think about every calculation on various fronts: exhibitions, calculation time and limitations. The outcomes acquired are truly encouraging since we figure out how to accomplish our objective by outperforming irregular backwoods exhibitions for each situation. The results prove that the proposed method exhibits better performance than the traditional methods.

액티브 러닝 학습방법을 활용한 심전도 개론 및 실습 교과과정의 학습효과와 만족도 조사 (Outcomes of active learning methods in an electrocardiography course; identifying the effects of flipped, case-based, and team-based learning)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to introduce active learning methods, including flipped, case-based, and team-based learning in an electrocardiography (ECG) course and to investigate outcomes and satisfaction with these methods. Methods: To identify the learning effect of active learning, pre-and post-academic self-efficacy was compared between the experimental and control groups. In the experimental group, pre-and post-knowledge and clinical performance regarding ECG were also assessed. In addition, class satisfaction was investigated after application of active learning methods in the experimental group. Data were collected from 84 paramedic students and analyzed using SPSS 22.0 (IBM, Armonk, NY, USA). Results: The experimental group showed significant improvement in post-academic self-efficacy and knowledge. The experimental group also showed high clinical performance (9.83 out of 10 in ECG checking ability and 9.63 out of 10 in ECG reading ability). The mean satisfaction score was 4.23 out of 5 (responses based on a Likert scale) in the experimental group. Conclusion: Active learning in an ECG course was found to be highly effective and satisfactory. Furthermore, paramedic students can enhance their accountability and judgement with team-based learning through free engagement in discussion.

협동학습(Cooperative Learning)을 적용한 보건교육 수업에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Comprehensive Approach to Health Education: Cooperative Learning)

  • Recently, the educational community has attempted to implement the theory of multiple intelligences. In approaching multiple intelligences, teachers have applied the same structural approach which has been so successful with cooperative learning. Cooperative learning is easy to learn and implement, fun for teachers and students, and produce profoundly positive outcomes along a remarkable number of dimensions. Different structures are designed for different outcomes, including enhanced mastery of subject matter, improved thinking skills, team building, class building, development of social character and social skills, communication skills, classroom management, classroom discipline, and development of and engagement of each of the multiple intelligences. Cooperative learning is becoming an increasingly popular teaching strategy. In this study, it is aimed to clarify the application of cooperative learning in health education. Cooperative Learning in health education enhances student learning by: 1) providing a shared cognitive set of information between students, 2) motivating students to learn the material, 3) ensuring that students construct their own health knowledge, 4) providing formative feedback, 5) developing social and health group skills necessary for success outside the classroom, and 6) promoting positive interaction between members of different cultural and socio-economic groups. Cooperative Learning structures and techniques in health education are following. Flash Card, Focused Listing, Structured Problem-solving, Paired Annotations, Structured Learning Team Group Roles, Send-A-Problem, Value Line, Uncommon Commonalities, Team Expectations, Double Entry Journal, Guided Reciprocal Peer Questioning, What if. Because the purpose of health education is the practice, therefore health specialists have to guide powerful and effective teaching method The application of cooperative learning in health education may improve its effectiveness.

Analysis of Changes in University Students' Awareness of Online Classes from 2020 to 2022 during the COVID-19 Pandemic

  • The purpose of this study was to examine changes in students' awareness of online classes in university education over the three years from 2020 to 2022 during the COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve this, various aspects of online classes, including self-directed learning, interaction (between instructors and learners, and among learners), evaluation of the learning process and outcomes, and the learning environment and control of learning, were analyzed for changes from 2020 to 2022. The study included 534 university students enrolled in University A who participated in online classes in both 2020 and 2021. The results indicated that there was no significant difference in the awareness of self-directed learning, but significant differences were found in the awareness of interaction, evaluation of the learning process and outcomes, and the challenge related to learning environment and control of learning in online classes, which were higher in 2021 and 2022 than in 2020. Additionally, detailed changes in awareness of online classes showed significant differences in specific aspects of awareness in university online classes. In summary, students' awareness of online classes improved in 2021 and 2022 compared to 2020, as learners adapted to online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, it was observed that difficulties in the challenge related to learning environment and control of learning were overcome in 2021. Based on these research findings, several implications for improving the design and operating strategies of effective online classes in future university education were proposed.

A study of Korean language education and healing among middle-aged and older learners

  • This study aims to explore the potential of Korean language learning as a means of psychological healing and improving the quality of life for Japanese middle-aged and older learners. Results showed that Korean language learning could help alleviate various psychological issues experienced by middle-aged learners and contribute to enhancing their quality of life. Learning a foreign language is not just about acquiring information but also about meeting people who use the language and understanding and experiencing their culture. In particular, for Japanese middle-aged learners, Korean language learning can be advantageous as it can lead to the discovery or development of new hobbies or interests. Results also showed that Korean language learning increased learners' opportunities for interaction with others and enjoyment of learning new cultural customs. These positive outcomes suggest the need for discussion of teaching strategies that focus on psychological healing in foreign language education. Further clinical trials with participants who learn foreign languages for healing purposes may provide more conclusive evidence on the diverse effects of language learning on stress, anxiety, depression, self-development, social connections, and cognitive ability.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop syllabuses of basic nursing science subjects (Structure and Function of Human Body, Pathogenic Microbiology, Pathophysiology, and Mechanisms and Effects of Drug) based on learning outcomes. Methods: We developed a 3-phase plan to develop the syllabuses. In the first phase, The Korean Society of Biological Nursing Science (KSBNS) held a workshop in May, 2013 in which professors who are in charge of basic nursing science subjects shared opinions about learning outcomes. As a result, initial prototype syllabuses came out. In the second phase, revised syllabuses based on learning outcomes were presented and discussed in the conference held by KSBNS in November, 2013. In the last phase, a research team who taught basic nursing science subjects finalized the syllabuses during the meetings. Results: Syllabuses of 4 basic nursing science subjects were developed. Conclusion: These syllabuses of 4 subjects need to be disseminated throughout nursing colleges. Further revision needs to be made according to the circumstances and context of each school.

상부 위장관 출혈 환자 간호의 시뮬레이션-기반 학습효과와 만족도 (Outcomes and Satisfaction of Simulation-based Learning in Nursing of Patient with UGI Bleeding)

  • 본 연구는 상부 위장관 출혈 환자 간호에 시뮬레이션 기반 학습을 적용하여 임상수행능력에 대한 자신감 변화와 시뮬레이션 만족도를 알아보고자 간호대학생 77명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구방법은 단일군 전후설계방법을 이용하였으며, 임상수행능력에 대한 자신감 변화는 paired t-test를, 시뮬레이션 만족도는 기술통계로 분석하였다. 임상수행능력에 대한 자신감 점수는 시뮬레이션 전에 비해 후의 점수가 유의하게 증가하였다. 시뮬레이션 만족도 점수는 4.20점(5점 척도)로 높게 나타났으며, 학습자 만족도와 동기유발 항목에서 4.54점으로 제일 높은 점수를 보였다. 시뮬레이션 기반 학습이 임상수행능력과 학습만족도에 긍정적인 효과를 보였으므로 다양한 주제로 시뮬레이션 기반 학습을 간호학 교과과정에 적용하여 운영하는 것이 필요하다.
