Analysis of Preservice Elementary Teachers' Lesson Plans

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze lesson plans from third to sixth grades of science and to find out teaching strategies in respects of learning functions provided by preservice elementary teachers in education university. On the whole, to control students' learning process preservice teachers used more shared-regulation strategy than strong teacher-regulation one. Teaching activities for regulative learning function were most used in strategy of strong teacher-regulation, and in strategy of shared-regulation those for cognitive learning functions were most used. But teaching activities for affective learning functions were used a little considered in both teaching strategies. In introduction step of instruction, affective and regulative learning functions were more instructed by strong teacher-regulation strategy and cognitive learning functions were more instructed by shared-regulation strategy. The affective, cognitive, and regulative learning functions were largely planned by shared-regulation teaching strategy in development. The regulative learning functions were planned by strong teacher-regulation strategy than by shared-regulation strategy and affective learning functions were considered a little bit in consolidation. There was a tendency that strong teacherregulation strategy was increased in lessons for fifth and sixth grade.

초등학교 과학 수업에서 대본을 사용한 협동학습의 효과 (The Effects of Scripted Cooperative Learning in Elementary School Science Instruction)

  • 이 연구는 초등학교 과학 수업에 대본을 사용한 협동학습의 적용하여 그 효과를 조사하였다. 6학년 3개 학급 95명을 대상으로 '여러 가지 기체' 단원 총 9차시에 대하여 전통수업, 협동수업, 대본을 사용한 협동수업을 실시한 후, 학업 성취도, 과학 학습 동기, 과학 수업에 대한 태도를 비교하였다. 이원 공변량 분석 결과, 학업 성취도에서 수업 처치와 성취 수준 사이에 유의미한 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 성취 수준 하위 학생들의 학업 성취도 점수는 대본을 사용한 협동학습 집단이 다른 집단보다 유의미하게 높았다. 또한 과학 학습 동기와 과학 수업에 대한 태도 점수도 대본을 사용한 협동학습 집단이 유의미하게 높았다.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of teaching-learning programs from the perspective of brain-based learning science. Four units in 5th grade elementary science programs of the Revised 2007 National Curriculum were selected as contents to study. As the brain-based learning science analysis method, equations of the brain compatibleness index (BCI) and contribution degree on the brain compatibleness index (BCICRE) were applied to them. This study showed that there were qualitative and quantitative differences among the analyzed teaching-learning programs through the unit and curriculum. The results showed that hands-on activities like experiments or open inquiry activities improved their evaluation of the teaching-learning programs. From the analyzing, teachers can judge whether each teaching-learning program made considered the brain of the learners. Furthermore, this study can provide useful information to consult of various science teaching-learning programs brain-based learning.

온라인 학습에서 머신러닝을 활용한 초등 4학년 식물 분류 학습의 적용 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Application of Plant Classification Learning for 4th Grade Elementary School Using Machine Learning in Online Learning)

  • This study is a case study that applies plant classification learning using machine learning to fourth graders in elementary school in online learning situations. In this study, a plant classification learning education program associated with 2015 revision science curriculum was developed by applying the Artificial Intelligence biological classification teaching Learning model. The study participants were 31 fourth graders who agreed to participate voluntarily. Plant classification learning using machine learning was applied six hours for three weeks. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of image analysis on artificial intelligence, participants were mainly aware of artificial intelligence as mechanical (27%), human (23%) and household goods (23%). Second, an artificial intelligence recognition survey by semantic discrimination found that artificial intelligence was recognized as smart, good, accurate, new, interesting, necessary, and diverse. Third, there was a difference between men and women in perception and emotion of artificial intelligence, and there was no difference in perception of the ability of artificial intelligence. Fourth, plant classification learning using machine learning in this study influenced changes in artificial intelligence perception. Fifth, plant classification learning using machine learning in this study had a positive effect on reasoning ability.

보편적 학습 설계를 적용한 과학 수업의 학습 성과에 관한 구조적 관계 분석 (Analysis of the Structural Relationship among Learning Outcomes in Science Classes applying Universal Design for Learning)

  • The variety of learners include students with disabilities and general students, and an ongoing focus of inclusive education research is non-discrimination. As part of integrated education, UDL (Universal Design for Learning) for students with disabilities supports a practical approach, participation, and advancement to improve learning opportunities for all students. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of using UDL in science classes. The dependent variables of this study were academic achievement in science, scientific attitude, and scientific motivation. In this study, the experimental groups were 9 people in the 5th grade and 11 people in 6th grade. The experimental groups were taught science class using UDL. In order to analyze the learning outcomes, the structure equation model was performed. The results of this study were as follows: First, the science achievement of learning outcomes of the science class applying UDL directly affected both scientific attitude and scientific motivation. Second, the scientific attitude of learning outcomes of the science class applying UDL directly did not affect scientific motivation. According to these results, learning outcomes for science achievement of the science class applying UDL showed that UDL affected both general students and students with disabilities. To summarize the analysis of learning outcomes, science achievement directly affected both scientific attitude and scientific motivation while scientific attitude did not affect scientific motivation. This study offered a specific implementation method for integrated education. Using the structure equation model for analyzing the effect has more significance.

일개 간호대학생의 학습유형과 자기주도적 학습 (Learning Style and Self-directed Learning of Nursing Students at One University)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify the preferences for learning style and the degree of self-directed learning and influencing factors on it among nursing students working on a Bachelor of Science in a nursing program at Suwon. Methods: The study sample included 156 nursing students. A self-report questionnaire was used to assess the data. The data was analyzed using the SPSS/WIN program for descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Most of the students preferred lectures rather than discussion or team projects as a teaching method. Students preferred deliberating, sensing, and the use of visuals for their learning style. In addition, they favored sequential learning over comprehensive learning. Self directed learning had better outcomes in 3rd and 4th year students than 1st or 2nd year students. Additionally, active learners and high achievers who had a good GPA showed higher self directed learning than the others. Conclusion: In order to maximize students' self-directed learning, study guidance will be necessary for freshmen and for some who experience difficulties in studying nursing courses. Nursing faculty members should pay close attention to facilitate student's self directed learning, and encourage more discussions in the classes.

지구과학 I 의 Jigsaw II 협동학습이 학업성취도 및 자기 주도적 학습능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Jigsaw II Cooperative Learning upon the Academic Achievement and the Self-directed Learning Ability Applied to Earth Science)

  • This study is the analysis of the effects of Jigsaw II Cooperative Learning upon the academic achievement and upon the ability of self-directed learning, compared to lecturing. It made it experimental target for two male and two female classes of students in the 2nd grade of humanity high school in Ulsan metropolitan area. One male and one female classes conducted Jigsaw II cooperative learning by making up a small group heterogeneously from the aspect of learning ability, and the other male and female classes carried out the lecturing focusing on a teacher. As for the academic achievement of science, Jigsaw II cooperative learning was shown to be effective compared to the lecturing. As for the ability of self-directed learning, Jigsaw II cooperative learning was indicated to be effective compared to the lecturing. As for the ability of self-directed learning for Jigsaw II cooperative learning, it was indicated to be effective compared to the lecturing. Given seeing this, it was identified the necessity for Jigsaw II cooperative learning to be applied to a school field as an alternative plan for the lecturing.

프로젝트 기반 수업이 과학개념 및 과학학습 동기에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Project-Based Learning on Science Concepts and Science Learning Motivation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 프로젝트 기반 수업을 활용한 과학수업이 과학개념 습득 및 과학학습동기에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구는 S초등학교에서 4학년 학생을 대상으로 하였으며 연구반 선정을 위해 담임교사에게 동의를 구하였다. 그리고 학생들에게는 본 연구의 목적과 취지를 설명하고 연구에 대한 동의를 받았다. 연구자가 직접 내방하여 연구반 1개반을 선정하였다. 연구반에 대해서는 담임교사를 실험처치자로 선정하여 프로젝트 기반 수업을 활용한 과학수업을 진행하였다. 연구기간을 설정하여 40분 단위 수업을 12주 동안 실시하였다. 실험처치 수업 후에는 사후 과학개념 검사, 과학학습동기 검사를 실시하고 자료를 수집 분석하여 정리하는 단계로 진행하였다. 이에 대한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프로젝트 기반 수업을 활용한 과학수업이 과학개념 습득 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 프로젝트 기반 수업를 활용한 과학수업이 과학학습동기 함양에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 프로젝트 기반 수업 후 연구집단의 학습자들 인식 반응에서도 긍정적인 효과가 있었다.

초등학교 자연 수업에서 학생 중심의 활동을 강조한 협동학습의 교수 효과 (The Instructional Effects of Student-Centered Cooperative Learning Strategies in Elementary School Science Course)

  • 일반적으로 협동학습이 학업 성취에 효과적이라고 보고되지만, 과학 실험 수업에서의 학업 성취 및 상위 수준 학생에 대한 효과는 일관되지 않다. 본 연구에서는 실험 수업에서 필요한 고급 사고 수준의 활동이 포함된 과제를 소집단 활동 중심으로 해결하도록 한 협동학습을 초등학교 자연 수업에 적용하여 그 효과률 조사하였다.5학년의 '용해와 용액' 단원 총 16차시에 대하여 전통적 수업과 협동학습을 실시한 후 학업 성취도, 탐구 사고력, 자연 수업에 대한 태도, 수업 환경에 대한 인식등을 비교하였다. 이원 공변량 분석 결과, 협동학습 집단의 학업 성취도와 탐구 사고력이 전통적 수업 집단에 비하여 유의미하게 높았으며, 수업 처치와 성취 수준 사이의 상호작용은 나타나지 않았다. 수업 환경에 대환 인식 중 마찰도에 대한 인식은 협동학습 집단이 높았으며, 자연 수업에 대한 태도와 참여도에 대한 인식에는 두 집단사이에 차이가 없었다.

과학 학습시 중 . 고등학생들이 선호하는 학습 전략에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preferable Learning Strategies in Science Learning of the Secondary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the preferable learning strategies in science learning and to find out the relationship between these strategies and scientific achievement of students in the secondary school. The learning strategies were tested with two categories, self-focused and work-focused learning. The four types of learning strategies in science learning were analyzed, and they were named to organization, monitoring, elaboration and memorization strategies, which were defined by GSSS test. In the self-focused learning, the organization and monitoring strategies were preferred to the elaboration and memorization strategies. Middle school students had a preference for memorization strategy (p=0.000), whereas high school students had a preference for monitoring strategy (p=0.015). In the case of organization strategy, female groups were preferable to male groups (p=0.027). In the second form of learning types, work-focused learning, the memorization strategy was the same preference as organization and monitoring strategies in the secondary school students, especially the male groups of high school students. The preference of elaboration strategy was relative lower compared with that of self-focused learning type. Middle school students had a preference for monitoring strategy (p=0.001), whereas high school students had a preference for elaboration strategy (p=0.001). The difference of each preference between male and female groups was not shown. From the analysis of correlation between learning strategy and scientific achievement, it showed that the monitoring strategy was commonly correlated with scientific achievement. In the self-focused learning, elaboration and organization strategies were correlated with scientific achievement in high school students (p<0.05). In the work-focused learning, memorization strategy was correlated with scientific achievement in middle school students, especially in male groups (p<0.05).
