Study on Effective Learning Factors to Obtain National Certifications - Focusing on Operation of Interior Architecture Engineers Certifications in Connection with Major Curriculum - (국가자격증 취득을 위한 효율적 학습요인 연구 - 전공교육과정과 연계한 실내건축기사 국가자격증반 운영을 중심으로 -)

  • The objective of this study is to address Effective Learning Methodology by subjects to acquire National Certification which is an essential requirement to get employed. For this purpose, analysis was completed after conducting a survey on the class to obtain Interior Architecture Engineer Certification. 23 applicants were selected based on effectiveness of each subject, level of difficulty, degree of understanding, mentoring effect, self-driven learning, and group discussion. Results are as below. Upon the first written test, Interior Design Theory and Chromatics showed a high learning effectiveness in self-driven learning and mentoring. Ergonomics showed a high learning effectiveness in mentoring, self-driven learning and group discussion while Building Materials, Architecture Construction presented a high effectiveness only in mentoring and group discussion. Architecture Environment showed average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion and showed a low effectiveness in self-driven learning. Upon the second practice test, Interior Architecture Construction and Planning/Management of Construction Materials presented an average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion. Process Control and Adding Up(Supply Calculation) showed a low learning effectiveness in self-driven learning and presented an average to below average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion. Lastly, Interior Design Plan, Interior Design Drawings presented average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion however they showed a high effectiveness in self-driven learning.

  • e-Learning can be seen as not only one of Internet-based information technologies which can provide education services but also one of teaching-learning methods which can implement self-directed learning. Thus, for evaluation of e-Learning effectiveness, both information-technology-based learning environment and learners' abilities in self-learning and computer-using should be considered simultaneously. This study suggests a research model for evaluating the effectiveness of e-Learning, which is theoretically based on information systems success model, constructivism and self-efficacy. The model is composed of three parts: effectiveness, learning environment, and learners' self-efficacy. Effectiveness is a part of dependent variables: satisfaction and academic performance. Learning environment and learners' self-efficacy can be considered as two sets of explanation variables for effectiveness. The former consists of learning management system, learning contents, and interactions that are provided bye-Learning and the latter means learners' self-regulated efficacy and computer self-efficacy. We show validity of the model empirically by surveying the college students who have experienced e-Learning. In result, most of all hypotheses suggested in this model are accepted in low significant level.

The Effect of Learning Organization Construction and Learning Orientation on Organizational Effectiveness among Hospital Nurses (병원간호사의 학습조직화와 학습지향성이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study conducted to identify the effect of learning organization construction and learning orientation on organizational effectiveness among hospital nurses. Method: Data was collected from convenient sample of 296 nurses who worked for the major hospitals in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Gangwoen-do. The self-reported questionnaire was used to assess the general characteristics, the level of the learning organization construction, learning orientation and organizational effectiveness. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression. Result: The mean score of learning organization construction was 3.61(${\pm}.32$), learning orientation got 3.26(${\pm}.39$), and organizational effectiveness obtained 3.38(${\pm}.42$). The learning organization construction affects of organizational effectiveness by 44.18% and learning orientation by 37.43%. Conclusion: This finding indicates that learning organization construction and learning orientation affects the nurses' organizational effectiveness in hospital.

  • The recent development of IT, consolidation of communication and multimedia technology have brought enormous changes in many organizations. Theses changes are enabling the new educational opportunities such as distance teaming and virtual class room. Recently, e-Learning has grown rapidly in business training field, In the context of companies, e-Learning has merits in terms of access convenience, costs reduction self-directed learning, reciprocity, and flexibility. In this regard, the primary purpose of this study is to investigate which factors of e-Learning influence the effectiveness of education and transfer of loaming in business organizations. Based on the prior studies of the education and business training field, research model and research hypotheses were developed. Factors studied in this paper were as follows: 1) learners' characteristics, 2) organizational support and 3) system environments. The results of our study are as follows. (1) Motivation perceived usefulness in Learner factors had an significant influence on both learning effectiveness and transfer of teaming, whereas Ability, expectation had an influence on transfer of teaming. (2) Support from peer, support from supervisor in Organization factors had an significant influence on both Loaming effectiveness and transfer of teaming, whereas support from organization had influence on learning effectiveness. (3) Appropriate contents in system circumstance had an significant influence on both teaming effectiveness and transfer of teaming, whereas interface design had an influence on learning effectiveness.

The Effect of Shared Leadership perceived by organizational members on Team Learning Behavior and Team Effectiveness

  • The purpose of this study sought to determine the impact of shared leadership perceived by organizational members on team effectiveness and team learning behavior. For this purpose, the results of the empirical analysis of 206 organizational members are as follows. First, shared leadership was analyzed to improve team effectiveness. Second, shared leadership had a positive effect on team learning behavior. Third, team learning behavior was statistically significantly analyzed for team effectiveness. This study confirmed the importance of shared leadership, which has a positive impact on team effectiveness and team learning behavior. This may require building a new culture that can demonstrate the inherent leadership of organizational members in the influence relationship between shared leadership, team effectiveness, and team learning behavior. In other words, in order to systematically demonstrate and implement shared leadership, the execution ability of executives, managers, and working-level managers is important. To this end, it is necessary to build an organizational culture that matches the characteristics of the organization and develop and continuously implement human resource development systems and programs that can implement this.

Investigating Factors of Transitioned-Online Courses on Satisfaction and Learning Effectiveness in Higher Education during the Era of the COVID-19

  • Purpose - This study explored factors of online education that affect student dissatisfaction and learning effectiveness in higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Research design, data, and methodology - This study combined qualitative and quantitative designs. The qualitative part of this study involved in-depth interviews using a criteria-based purposive sampling technique. The quantitative part of this study consisted of an online survey. Results - The qualitative results revealed that students faced significant problems related to online learning, including a lack of learning environment, interaction, and support from the school. The quantitative results indicated that the effects of transitioned-online courses on student dissatisfaction were higher with student support, the interaction between students and instructors, online learning environment, and course organization and evaluation based on the order, while the effects on learning effectiveness were higher with the online learning environment, interaction between students and instructors, course organization and evaluation, and student support based on the order. Conclusion - The results implied that online learning in the era of the COVID 19 pandemic negatively affects student satisfaction and learning effectiveness. Policymakers and school leaders should improve students' satisfaction and learning effectiveness when confronted with the pandemic. Better policies should be adopted to improve better way of teaching in the era of COVID19.

  • The purpose of this paper is to compare the learning effectiveness of autonomous learning between on-line cyber learning using Internet media and off-line learning using printed media. In this study, each group is provided with the same learning contents and the same learning conditions. For autonomous learning the results revealed a significant difference between on-line cyber learning being not as effective as off-line learning. In order to improve the effectiveness of on-line cyber learning the negative aspects have been identified. These findings will help to improve the development of on-line learning effectiveness.

  • The current article examines the interactions among students' attitudes to e-learning, their implementation of e-learning in their studies, and learning effectiveness. Significantly, it emphasizes the mediating role of accepting e-learning in training. It applied reliability analyses to test the measurement of items and construct validity, using the research data collected from students at Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh. Then, the current article used multiple regressions to inspect the causal relations; and applied procedures to investigate the mediating influence. The empirical results indicate students' attitude to e-learning positively influences their implementation of e-learning in their studies. When students apply e-learning in their studies, they likely achieve the best possible training effectiveness. Statistical evidence on the mediating role of accepting e-learning in training by students on the linkage between their attitude to e-learning and training effectiveness is revealed in this article. The findings of this article make some contributions. For educational administrators, it offers insight into the links among students' attitudes to e-learning, their implementation of e-learning in their studies, and training effectiveness, which likely allows them to establish suitable online training programs. This will be beneficial to both learners and educational institutes.

  • The purpose of this paper was to design and implement effective learning model for internet ethics education, following the learning principle and procedure of PBL(Problem-Based Learning) which is one of the constructivism teaching-learning theories(, and to apply it). In this learning model, online learning and face-to-face classes were systematically combined for achieving the teaching-learning goals and the main module for online learning run on Moodle, an open source LMS(Learning Management System). It is possible for learner to participate actively in creation of micro-contents and reorganize contents using various SNS(Social Network Service). The learner can achieve the learner-oriented learning and select micro-contents in order to reorganize the personalized learning contents to take advantage of SNS among learners. To examine educational effectiveness of the proposed learning model, an experimental study was conducted through the education content and method to the subjects of two classes in the second-grade of university located in OO city. 60 students(treatment group=30, control group=30) participated in the experiment. The result statistically verified that the proposed learning method is more effective in cultivating consciousness of internet ethics than the face-to-face PBL learning method. The results of this paper also showed that a lecture using blended learning is efficient in achieving learning performance and that learners responded positively(, which are indicating that the higher effectiveness of learning would be expected) by forming connectedness among learners using SNS.   • Since team performance has become one of the core factors for companies' success, companies are putting every effort to raise team productivity. In this vein, the purpose of this study was to examine the influence of team learning behavior upon team dynamic capabilities, team effectiveness, and to verify the mediating effect of team dynamic capabilities in corporations. 312 employees were randomly selected to participate in an questionnaire survey. The result has shown that the static correlation exists between team learning behavior, team dynamic capabilities, and team effectiveness. Team dynamic capabilities mediated the relationship between team learning behavior and team effectiveness. Based on the findings, the study implies that learning behaviors among team members should be supported in order to improve its outcome, and HR representatives must help to develop dynamic capabilities.
