폴리아크릴 레진 누수보수재의 선정평가 후 현장 적용에 따른 효과 분석 (Effect of Evaluation before Site Application of Poly-acrylic Resin Leakage Repair Materials)

  • This study improved the water repair materials of the polyacrylic system applied to concrete structures by controlling expansion, strengthening water resistance, and improving cohesiveness. The improved polyacrylate repair materials were evaluated against the existing products to verify their performance and level of improvement, and applied on-site to the concrete structures that are leaking the improved water. The verification method measured the presence of water leaks and the moisture content of concrete inside. Moisture levels were measured for two months before and after material installation, and at least 0.8 - 1.7% of humidity was reduced after installing polyacrylic resin, and no leakage was found.

비구속 흐름조건하에 있는 배수형 터널의 거동 (Behaviour of Leaking Tunnels under Unconfined Flow Condition)

  • 지하수위 아래에서의 터널굴착은 지하수 영역의 변화를 초래하게 되고, 지하수의 공급이 충분하게 이루어지지 않는 경우 자유수면의 하강현상이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 거동을 수치 해석적으로 모사하기 위해서는 자유수면위의 불포화토 거동을 포함하는 자유수면의 변화를 고려하기 위한 복잡한 해석 알고리즘을 채택하여야 하고, 불포화 토의 수리거동을 포함하므로 통상 구속흐름조건으로 가정하여 해석하게 된다. 그러나 이 방법은 실제 많은 상황에서 발생하는 지하수위 저하를 고려하지 못하며 지하수위 저하가 터널 및 주변지반의 거동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 비구속 흐름조건하의 지하수위 아래 배수형 터널을 건설하는 경우 지하수 영역의 변화와 이 변화가 터널과 지반에 미치는 영향을 수치 해석적 모델링 방법을 통하여 파악하고, 이를 통상적 해석방법인 구속조건의 흐름과 비교 고찰하였다. 해석결과 지하수위 변화는 지표, 특히 지하수위 상부의 거동에는 지대한 영향을 미칠 수 있지만 터널라이닝 거동은 구속흐름의 경우와 거의 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

Three-dimensional modelling of water flow due to leakage from pressurized buried pipe

  • A three-dimensional model is constructed to simulate water infiltration in an unsaturated slope from a leaking pipe. Adaptive mesh refinement and time stepping are used, assisted by an automatic procedure for progressive steepening of the hydraulic property function for better convergence. The model is justified by comparing the simulated results with experimental data. Steady-state flow is investigated considering various pipe water pressures, locations and sizes of the opening, and soil layering. The opening size significantly affects the soaked zone around the pipe. Preferential flow dominates along the pipe longitudinal direction in the presence of a loose backfill around the pipe.

  • Leaking water coolant into stator electrical insulation is a growing concern for the aging water-cooled generator since leaks in the generator water-cooled stator winding can affect machine availability and insulation life. But a domestic techniques of such field are insufficient and depend wholly on GE or TOSHIBA technique. Therefore this paper introduces measuring principle and developed measuring system, which has been used to detecting wet absorption. We accomplished the experiment with a stator promotion of virtue which is used in actual power plant. Also, Experimental method of generator stator winding, which is investigated into wet absorption test.

아파트 난방용 배관의 부식원인 규명 (Corrosion Analysis of the Pipeline for Heating System in a Apartment)

  • The corrosion failure analysis for the heating pipeline of apartment was performed. Usually, the heating pipe was layed in the concrete. However, it was known that the corrosion problems could be induced by admixture containing chlorine such as set accelerant. antifreezer and so on. Therefore the new construction method using stone ash instead of concrete was attempt to solve these problems. However water leaking accidents by corrosion occurred after 1 month from the completion of the apartment. In this paper, the reason of corrosion failure was investigated by the field study and laboratory analysis in many aspects.

  • Water toxicity monitoring based on the continuous cultivation of Photobacterium phorphoreum is presented. Normally, after 10 days of operation, a dark variant, which emits no light, appears and dominates the population, resulting in a rapid decrease in bioluminescence. Therefore, to overcome this problem, a fluidized-bed reactor is used in which alginate-immobilized cells are grown and leaking cells are continuously released into the effluent Experimental results revealed that the dominance of dark variants was suppressed inside the immobilized beads, thereby mitigating the rapid loss of bioluminescence. Plus, a high dilution rate (1.2 h$\^$-1/) prevented the occurrence of other microbial contamination in the reactor The concentration and bioluminescence of the released cells were sufficient to measure the water toxicity for more than 4 weeks.

지하저장공동 주변 불연속 암반에서의 가스-물 천이유동해석을 위한 개별균열 유동모델의 개발 및 응용 (Development and Its Application of a Discrete Fracture Flow Model for the Analysis of Gas-Water Transient Flow in Fractured Rock Masses Around Storage Cavern)

  • The fluid generally flows through fractures in crystalline rocks where most of underground storage facilities are constructed because of their low hydraulic conductivities. The fractured rock is better to be conceptualized with a discrete fracture concept, rather continuum approach. In the aspect of fluid flow in underground, the simultaneous flow of groundwater and gas should be considered in the cases of generation and leakage of gas in nuclear waste disposal facilities, air sparging process and soil vapor extraction for eliminating contaminants in soil or rock pore, and pneumatic fracturing for the improvement of permeability of rock mass. For the purpose of appropriate analysis of groundwater-gas flow, this study presents an unsteady-state multi-phase FEM fracture network simulator. Numerical simulation has been also conducted to investigate the hydraulic head distribution and air tightness around Ulsan LPG storage cavern. The recorded hydraulic head at the observation well Y was -5 to -10 m. From the results obtained by the developed model, it shows that the discrete fracture model yielded hydraulic head of -10 m, whereas great discrepancy with the field data was observed in the case of equivalent continuum modeling. The air tightness of individual fractures around cavern was examined according to two different operating pressures and as a result, only several numbers of fractures neighboring the cavern did not satisfy the criteria of air tightness at 882 kPa of cavern pressure. In the meantime, when operating pressure is 710.5 kPa, the most areas did not satisfy air tightness criteria. Finally, in the case of gas leaking from cavern to the surrounding rocks, the resulted hydraulic head and flowing pattern was changed and, therefore, gas was leaked out from the cavern ceiling and groundwater was flowed into the cavern through the walls.

치과용 수복재의 용해성에 관한 분석연구 (A STUDY ON THE SOLUBILITY OF DENTAL RESTORATIVE MATERIALS)

  • The purpose of this experiment was to measure the leaking and solubility of commonly used dental restorative materials - Silux plus (CS), Hi-pol (CH), Clearfil F-II, Fissureseal (FS), Glass-Ionomer cement Fuji Type II (GI), Amalgam Cavex 68 (AM), Zinc Phosphate Cement (ZP) and gutta-percha (GP) and investigate the relation between the solubility and marginal leakage. Disc-shape specimens were fabricated with each material and dipped into deionized water, 0.01M lactic acid and 0.005M KOH solution, thus the total ionic concentrations in each solution was measured with ion chromatograph after 1, 3, and 7 days, respectively. For the solubility test, each specimen was immersed in 0.001M and 0.01M lactic acid for 24 hours, respectively and total weight loss was calculated. Also, Zn leaking through the margin of restorations was measured. The obtained results were as follows: 1. The amounts of eluted ion from the eight materials were most in 0.01M lactic acid and least in deionized water. 2. Of the eight materials, the fluoride release was greatest for glass ionomer cement (GI) in 0.01 M lactic acid after 7 days. 3. In analysis of the divalent cation, Mg was eluted most for zinc phosphate cement (ZP) and Ca for Clearfil F-II (CF) in 0.01M lactic acid after 7 days. 4. In analysis of transition metals, Cu and Zn were detected only. 5. The solubility rate of eight materials was greater in 0.01M lactic acid than in 0.001M for 24 hours, for zinc phosphate cement (ZP) the rate was greatest (5.4%) in 0.001M lactic acid, and amalgam least (0.01%). 6. The Zn concentration of restorative material with Z.P.C base was greater in 0.01M lactic acid than in 0.001M lactic acid.

누수탐지를 위한 저비용 CAP형 TDR 탐사기법 (Low-Cost CAP-type TDR Exploration Techniques for Leak Detection)

  • 최근 이상기후에 따른 홍수로 인해 하천제방 붕괴 및 홍수피해가 급증하고 있다. 하천제방 관련 홍수피해는 침투에 의한 제방붕괴 및 파이핑, 부적절한 축제재료선정, 다짐불량 등 제방누수와 관련된 제방파괴요인이 52% 정도를 차지하는 것으로 나타나, 이에 대한 대책으로 저비용 TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry) 하천제방 누수탐사기법과 같은 대책이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 아크릴로 제작된 소형 캡슐모양의 CAP(CAPsule)형 몰드 및 기존 탐침형 TDR를 사용하는 저비용 TDR 제방누수 모니터링시스템의 성능을 평가하고자 기존 TDR(탐침형, 튜브형)과 개발 CAP형 TDR에 대한 다양한 비교실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과, 평가된 TDR시스템은 20cm 정도의 누수탐사능력인 임계탐사능이 존재하며, 함수비, 건조단위중량 등에 대한 TDR 탐사 민감도의 경우 건조단위중량에 비해 함수비가 3배 이상 민감한 것으로 평가되었다. 또한, 개발 CAP형 TDR 시스템의 경우 함수비 측정을 위한 화강풍화토 지반 함수비(w)-유전상수(${\epsilon}$) 관계식을 제시하였다.

선박용 수이젝터의 자동설계를 위한 전산프로그램의 개발 (A study on the Computer-Aided automatic Design of marine water ejector)

  • Ejectors, having no moving, lubricating and leaking parats, are widely used as marine pumps because of its high working confidence. For instance, uses in ships are stripping in crude oil tank, bilge discharge in engine room, ballast water pumping on are carrier, and brine discharge from fresh water generator. And it is also used as cooling water recirculating pump in boiling water type nuclear reactor and deep-well pump. It is not easy to determine the optimal dimension for designing each ejector agreed with its suggested performance condition, because complicated calculations must be repeated to obtain the maximum efficiency affected by flowrate ratio, head ratio, area ratio and so on. Therefore, it is considered that the CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for ejector is a powerful method for design according to the individual design condition. In this paper, a computer program for water ejector design is developed based on the previous paper on theoretical analysis and experimental results for water ejector. And from the theoretical approach, an equation for the working limit and an equation for determing the shape of throat are obtained. The validity of the present computer program is sufficiently confirmed through the comparison of the computed results with the main dimension of the previous manufactured water ejector. This program will be easily developed as the CAD for various kinds of ejectors, including steam ejector.
