This paper designed 3D animation in consideration of young children's characteristics to stimulate their interest and to be more understandable to them. It was also confirmed that, using the 3D animation software, young children came to recognize the problem of environment pollution and developed desirable attitude and behavior fur protecting the environment. Furthermore, this paper suggested the derection of systematic environmental education at kindergartens and other early childhood education institutions using the developed 3D animation software as a leaching material.
We employed in-situ spectroscopic ellipsometry(SE) and imaging ellipsometry(IE) to study the interaction of water and photoresist(PR) in 193 immersion lithography. Real time measurement of SE showed thickness increase when PR was immerged in water indicating swelling effect. From the temporal evolution we could observe its reaction-limited behavior. Meanwhile, IE could identify the modification of PR surface by contact of water even for a short period of a second.

The effects of indigenous bacteria on geochemical behavior of As in As-contaminated sediments (Hwachon mine and Myoungbong mine) after biostimulation with a variety of carbon sources were investigated under anaerobic condition. In Hwachon sediment, As was dramatically extracted from nonsterile sediment with time, reaching the highest concentration of $500{\mu}g/L$. The As leaching was likely caused by microbial dissolution of Fe oxides/oxyhydroxides with which As had been coprecipitated. However, in the case of Myoungbong sediment supplied with glucose, dissolved As decreased with time likely due to production of As sulfide(s) and subsequent precipitation, which resulted from bacterial reduction of $SO_4^{2-}$. The results implied that bacterial in-situ stabilization of As In subsurface has a potential to be practically applied.

This study had propose that a characteristic of recently developed Silicasol to make a close in this study, grouting material usually used portland cement and a characteristic is compared between Silicasol and sodium silicate in this study, examined strength and environmentally friendly for compare characteristics of sodium silicate and Silicasol through unconfined compressive strength, SEM analysis, Permeability test, Chemical Resistance test, leaching test etc. In the test, I gained that unconfined compressive strength of Silicasol three times promoted than sodium silicate Within 72 hours and I gined through analysis of SEM that Silicasol is more compactivetive than sodium silicate. In the result of test, it was found to be a environmentally friendly material as the toatal amount of eluviated elementary had small quantity.
Arsenic (As) oxidation followed by precipitation from a high-As(III)-containing leaching solution derived from a sulfidic ore was investigated in this study to remove aqueous As from the solution using activated carbon (AC) with air injection as an oxidant. To obtain the initial leaching solution, a domestic sulfidic ore was leached in a sulfuric acid solution at pH 1 and 50℃ for 95 h, and approximately 7 g/L of Fe and 3 g/L of As were leached out. To determine the effect of the oxidative reaction utilizing AC with air injection, the leaching solution was tested under the following five oxidative conditions at an initial pH of 1 and 90℃ for 72 h: air-only injection; air injection with 1, 5, and 10 w/v% of AC addition; and H2O2 addition. The tests in the presence of both air and AC revealed that the oxidation kinetics and As removal were improved by the reaction between the metallic species and the surface group formed on the AC surface. In addition, the greater the amount of AC added, the better was the reaction efficiency, removing 93-94% of As with more than 5 w/v% of AC addition. Finally, X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed that the precipitate formed from the oxidative reaction was scorodite (FeAsO4·2H2O).
Azimsulfuron [1H-pyrazole-5-sulfonamide,N-(((4,6-dimethoxy-pyridine-2-yl-aminocarbonyl-4-(2-methyl-2H-tetrazole-5-yl)] is a new sulfonamide herbicide that selectively controls a wide range of weeds in lowland rice (Oryza sativa). It effectively controlled Cyperus serotinus, Eleocharis kuroguwai, Sagittaria pygmaea, S. trifolia, and Scirpus juncoides at 7.5 - 30 g ai/ha. In the tolerance test on grasses carried out in a nutrient solution containing 0.3 - 30 ppm of azimsulfuron, greater inhibition occurred in roots of both rice and barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus galli) than in shoots. However, rice root was approximately 5-fold more tolerant than that of barnyardgrass. The downward movements as determined by 50% growth inhibition of S. juncoides were 4-cm in clay loam and 6.5-cm in sandy loam soil with 3-cm/day leaching for 3 days. When incubated at 20 and $30^{\circ}C$, the residual effect in clay loam soil lasted for 30 and 21 days, respectively. In a soil column applied at 15 g ai/ha of azimsulfuron followed by 3-cm/day leaching for 3 days, dry weights of S. trifolia emerging at 5, 10, and 15-cm depth were reduced to 87, 85, and 79% of the corresponding untreated control, respectively. Susceptibility of S. trifolia to azimsulfuron did not greatly vary with the emergence depth.
Stabilization behavior of Cr, Cd, Cu, Pb, Fe and Zn heavy metals in the EAF dust was investigated by adding EAF dust to clay or white clay, respectively, up to 50 wt% with 10 wt% intervals and sintering at temperatures between 200 and $1200^{\circ}C$ with $200^{\circ}C$ intervals with an aid of ICP-AES followed by TCLP test to evaluate heavy metal cation exchange capacity of the clay or the white clay. The clay or the white clay had a better Cr ion exchange capacity than that of zeolite. The TCLP leaching test for the sintered specimens showed that Cr and Fe were rarely detected for all the specimens and the concentration of Cd and Zn decreased with increasing sintering temperature and decreasing EAF dust contents respectively. When the clay or the white clay were mixed with EAF dust, cation exchange may occur between the clay and the EAF dust so that the first stabilization of the mixtures containing semistabilized heavy metals may happen. Stabilization of heavy metals in the ceramic bodies was further completed probably due to the eutectic reaction caused by the sintering of semi-stabilized mixtures. It was conceivable that the white clay rather than the clay may be a better stabilizer for the EAF dust containing heavy metals.

In the upstream of Nakdong river in Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, certain areas of riverside were found to be covered by weathered mine tailings which were assumed to be migrated and deposited by flood. This study was conducted to investigate the formation and characteristics of the secondary minerals from tailings and related leaching behavior of heavy metals in the severely weathered tailing deposits by river waters. Quartz, feldspar, micas, chlorite, hornblende, talc, pyroxene (johannsenite), pyrite, and calcite were identified as primary minerals by XRD. Kaolinite can be formed by the weathering of tailings, but considering the short period of weathering time, kaolinite in the deposits is considered to be from unweathered tailings or moved from soils. The secondary minerals such as goethite, gypsum, basanite, and jarosite were also identified. The formation of the secondary minerals was affected by the species of primary minerals and pH conditions. The weathering of pyrite produced sulfate minerals such as gypsum, basanite, jarosite, and also goethite. Mn oxide was also identified by SEM, coated on the primary minerals such as quartz. This Mn oxide was poorly crystalline and thought to be the weathering product of johannsenite (Mn-pyroxene). The Fe and Mn oxides are the main minerals determining the brown/red and black colors of weathered tailings. EDS results showed that those oxides contain high concentrations of Pb, Zn, and As, indicating that, in the river, the formation of Fe and Mn oxides can control the behavior and leaching of heavy metals by co-precipitation or adsorption.
A Termiticide that is applied to the soil treatment method, one of the methods for preventing termites in Korea's wooden cultural properties, will be subjected to the leaching of the effective ingredient in treated soil by the moisture behavior of rain. As a result, termiticide is deteriorated and needs to be reprocessed, but the standards and evaluation methods are nonexistent in korea. Accordingly, a basic indoor evaluation measure was proposed for the evaluation of the effectiveness of the termiticide chamber and the calculation of the reprocessing period. First, avoidance and contact toxicity were assessed at two concentrations of the same termiticide as a method for assessing termiticide suitability. The evaluation of mortality revealed that the soil termiticide used in this experiment was non-repellent, and that death from contact was confirmed. Afterwards, artificial rainfall and soil penetration tests were conducted to determine efficacy of termiticide in soil and the approximate reprocessing period was calculated by comparing the weather data. Persistence evaluation revealed perforation by termites after continuous water exposure of more than about 160 to 170mm of water injection condition. Based on the results, compared with weather data for the last five years, the termiticide of concentration used in this experiment is expected to remain effective for about one year if treated after September. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for the establishment of a manual for the selection of termiticide for soil treatment by calculating the efficacy for termite mortality and the duration of the leaching effectiveness by water behavior in soil.

In this study in order to know the behavior of mineral nutrients from forage plant to soil in a grassland ecosystem, the leaching of minerals (K, Mg, Ca, N and P) from air-dried (dead) plant body was investigated by putting orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) hay on meadow during a month with seasonal changes. The results obtained were as follows; 1) The K content of the forage, not stable during the experimental seasons, tended to decrease in the summer of 1986, while the Mg and Ca contents increased in the summer. The reason might be a different response (solubility or leaching liability) of the monovalent mineral (K) and divalent ones (Mg and Ca) in the forage to rainfall. 2) The percentage of P to the initial amount in the forage showed larger decrease in a rainy period (Feb.~Mar., 1986) and during the rainy summer (May to July). The P component of the forage might be easily leached with water. 3) The percentage of the four minerals (Ca, N, Mg, K) remained the least in the period of (Jun.~Jul., 1986), 4) Though the percentage of remained Mg and N of the forage varied very similarly, the percentage of remained N was higher than that of Mg during periods before summer (January to May), while after the period the ratio of the Mg seemed to be higher than that of the N (June to December), 5) During the periods until (May~Jun., 1986) the percentage of remained K and P of the forage varied in very similar pattern, and the order of remained mineral was as follows; $Ca>N{\geq}Mg>P=K$. But from the period of (Jun-Jul) the ratio of P remained in the forage increased nearly up to the ratio of N, and the order was as follows; $Ca>Mg{\geq}N{\geq}P>K$.
