In this paper, a reconfigurable flight control system is designed by applying the sliding mode control scheme. The sliding mode control method is a nonlinear control method which has been widely used because of its merits such as robustness and flexibility. In the sliding mode controller design, the signum function is usually included, but it causes the undesirable chattering problem. The chattering phenomenon can be avoided by using the saturation function instead of signum function. However, the boundary layer of the sliding surface should be carefully treated because of the use of the saturation function. In contrast to the conventional approaches, the thickness of the boundary layer of our approach does not need to be small. The reachability to the boundary layer is guaranteed by the sliding mode controller. The fault detection and isolation process is operated based on a sliding mode observer. To evaluate the reconfiguration performance, a numerical simulation using six degree-of-freedom aircraft dynamics is performed.
Singlet oxygen ($^1O_2$) is an important species for oxidation in biological processes. $^1O_2$ is implicated in the genotoxic effect, and plays an important role in the cell-signaling cascade and in the induction of gene expression. However, the rapid detection of $^1O_2$ in biological environments with sufficient specificity and sensitivity is hampered by its extremely low emission probability. Here, a layer-by-layer (LbL) film of CdTe quantum dots (QDs), polymers, and ascorbate have been designed as a rapid, highly selective, and sensitive fluorescence probe for $^1O_2$ detection. Upon reaction with $^1O_2$, the probe exhibits a strong photoluminescence (PL) response even at trace levels. This remarkable PL change should enable the probe to be used for $^1O_2$ detection in many chemical and biological systems and as an environmental sensor.
In this paper, we propose a Internet filtering tool which allows parents to manage their children's Internet access, block access to Internet sites they deem inappropriate. The other filtering tools which like Cyber Patrol, NCA Patrol, Argus, Netfilter are oriented only URL filtering or keyword detection methods. Thease methods are used on limited fields application. But our approach is focus on image color space model. First we convert RGB color space to HLS(Hue Luminance Saturation). Next, this HLS histogram learned by our classification method tools which include cohesion factor, naive baysian, N-nearest neighbor. Then we use voting for result from various classification methods. Using 2,000 picture, we prove that 2-layer voting result have better accuracy than other methods.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to apply the machine and deep learning methodology on error terms which are continuously auto-generated on the sensors with specific time period and prove the improvement effects of power generator prediction diagnosis system by comparing detection ability. Methods: The SVM(Support Vector Machine) and MLP(Multi Layer Perception) learning procedures were applied for predicting the target values and sequentially producing the error terms for confirming the detection improvement effects of suggested application. For checking the effectiveness of suggested procedures, several detection methodologies such as Cusum and EWMA were used for the comparison. Results: The statistical analysis result shows that without noticing the sequential trivial changes on current diagnosis system, suggested approach based on the error term diagnosis is sensing the changes in the very early stages. Conclusion: Using pattern of error terms as a diagnosis tool for the safety control process with SVM and MLP learning procedure, unusual symptoms could be detected earlier than current prediction system. By combining the suggested error term management methodology with current process seems to be meaningful for sustainable safety condition by early detecting the symptoms.
Civil structures may experience progressive deterioration and damage under environmental and operational conditions over their service life. Finite element (FE) model updating method is one of the most important approaches for damage identification in structures due to its capabilities in structural health monitoring. Although various damage detection approaches have been investigated on structures, there are limited studies on large-sized space structures. Thus, this paper aims to investigate the applicability and efficiency of sensitivity-based FE model updating framework for damage identification in large space structures from a distinct point of view. This framework facilitates modeling and model updating in large and geometric complicated space structures. Considering sensitivity-based FE model updating and vibration measurements, the discrepancy between acceleration response data in real damaged structure and hypothetical damaged structure have been minimized through adjusting the updating parameters. The feasibility and efficiency of the above-mentioned approach for damage identification has finally been demonstrated with two numerical examples: a flat double layer grid and a double layer diamatic dome. According to the results, this method can detect, localize, and quantify damages in large-scaled space structures very accurately which is robust to noisy data. Also, requiring a remarkably small number of iterations to converge, typically less than four, demonstrates the computational efficiency of this method.

We propose a novel eye tracking method that can estimate 3D world coordinates using an infrared (IR) stereo camera for indoor and outdoor environments. This method first detects dark evidences such as eyes, eyebrows and mouths by fast multi-level thresholding. Among these evidences, eye pair evidences are detected by evidential reasoning and geometrical rules. For robust accuracy, two classifiers based on multiple layer perceptron (MLP) using gradient local binary patterns (GLBPs) verify whether the detected evidences are real eye pairs or not. Finally, the 3D world coordinates of detected eyes are calculated by region-based stereo matching. Compared with other eye detection methods, the proposed method can detect the eyes of people wearing sunglasses due to the use of the IR spectrum. Especially, when people are in dark environments such as driving at nighttime, driving in an indoor carpark, or passing through a tunnel, human eyes can be robustly detected because we use active IR illuminators. In the experimental results, it is shown that the proposed method can detect eye pairs with high performance in real-time under variable illumination conditions. Therefore, the proposed method can contribute to human-computer interactions (HCIs) and intelligent transportation systems (ITSs) applications such as gaze tracking, windshield head-up display and drowsiness detection.
Objectives: The retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) is a site of glaucomatous optic neuropathy whose early changes need to be detected because glaucoma is one of the most common causes of blindness. This paper proposes an automated RNFL detection method based on the texture feature by forming a co-occurrence matrix and a backpropagation neural network as the classifier. Methods: We propose two texture features, namely, correlation and autocorrelation based on a co-occurrence matrix. Those features are selected by using a correlation feature selection method. Then the backpropagation neural network is applied as the classifier to implement RNFL detection in a retinal fundus image. Results: We used 40 retinal fundus images as testing data and 160 sub-images (80 showing a normal RNFL and 80 showing RNFL loss) as training data to evaluate the performance of our proposed method. Overall, this work achieved an accuracy of 94.52%. Conclusions: Our results demonstrated that the proposed method achieved a high accuracy, which indicates good performance.

A widely used social networking service like Twitter has the ability to disseminate information to large groups of people even during a pandemic. At the same time, it is a convenient medium to share irrelevant and unverified information online and poses a potential threat to society. In this research, conventional machine learning algorithms are analyzed to classify the data as either non-rumor data or rumor data. Machine learning techniques have limited tuning capability and make decisions based on their learning. To tackle this problem the authors propose a deep learning-based Rumor Detection Neural Network model to predict the rumor tweet in real-world events. This model comprises three layers, AttCNN layer is used to extract local and position invariant features from the data, AttBi-LSTM layer to extract important semantic or contextual information and HPOOL to combine the down sampling patches of the input feature maps from the average and maximum pooling layers. A dataset from Kaggle and ground dataset #gaja are used to train the proposed Rumor Detection Neural Network to determine the veracity of the rumor. The experimental results of the RDNN Classifier demonstrate an accuracy of 93.24% and 95.41% in identifying rumor tweets in real-time events.

Recently, various deep neural networks based methods have been proposed for audio event detection. In this study, we improved the performance of audio event detection by adopting an attention approach to a baseline CRNN. We applied context gating at the input of the baseline CRNN and added an attention layer at the output. We improved the performance of the attention based CRNN by using the audio data of strong labels in frame units as well as the data of weak labels in clip levels. In the audio event detection experiments using the audio data from the Task 4 of the DCASE 2018/2019 Challenge, we could obtain maximally a 66% relative increase in the F-score in the proposed attention based CRNN compared with the baseline CRNN.

This work continues a trend of developments aimed at exploiting the physical layer of the open systems interconnection (OSI) model to enhance wireless network security. The goal is to augment activity occurring across other OSI layers and provide improved safeguards against unauthorized access. Relative to intrusion detection and anti-spoofing, this paper provides details for a proof-of-concept investigation involving "air monitor" applications where physical equipment constraints are not overly restrictive. In this case, RF fingerprinting is emerging as a viable security measure for providing device-specific identification (manufacturer, model, and/or serial number). RF fingerprint features can be extracted from various regions of collected bursts, the detection of which has been extensively researched. Given reliable burst detection, the near-term challenge is to find robust fingerprint features to improve device distinguishability. This is addressed here using wavelet domain (WD) RF fingerprinting based on dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DT-$\mathbb{C}WT$) features extracted from the non-transient preamble response of OFDM-based 802.11a signals. Intra-manufacturer classification performance is evaluated using four like-model Cisco devices with dissimilar serial numbers. WD fingerprinting effectiveness is demonstrated using Fisher-based multiple discriminant analysis (MDA) with maximum likelihood (ML) classification. The effects of varying channel SNR, burst detection error and dissimilar SNRs for MDA/ML training and classification are considered. Relative to time domain (TD) RF fingerprinting, WD fingerprinting with DT-$\mathbb{C}WT$ features emerged as the superior alternative for all scenarios at SNRs below 20 dB while achieving performance gains of up to 8 dB at 80% classification accuracy.
