A few thermodynamics texts are commonly found to have unrealistic example problems in which the process violates the second law of thermodynamics. This error would result from presentation order in the text which introduces first the first law for cycles, systems, and control volumes and then the second law later. In the presentation order, the example problems deal only with the first law without telling whether the process violates the second law. To correct this erroneous situation, it could be recommended to present the first law and the second law successively so that both laws could be applied simultaneously to the given example problems.

Let {$X_n$, $n{\geq}1$} be a sequence of asymptotically almost negatively associated random variables and $S_n=\sum^n_{i=1}X_i$. In the paper, we get the precise results of H$\acute{a}$jek-R$\acute{e}$nyi type inequalities for the partial sums of asymptotically almost negatively associated sequence, which generalize and improve the results of Theorem 2.4-Theorem 2.6 in Ko et al. ([4]). In addition, the large deviation of $S_n$ for sequence of asymptotically almost negatively associated random variables is studied. At last, the Marcinkiewicz type strong law of large numbers is given.

This paper suggests applying pseudospectral model predictive method for exo-atmospheric guidance. The method is a fusion of pseudospectral law and model predictive control, in which a two point boundary value problem is formulated using model predictive approach and solved by applying pseudospectral law. In this work, the method is applied to exo-atmospheric guidance with specific target requirement. The existing exo-atmospheric guidance methods suffice general requirements for guidance, but cannot ensure specific target constraints; whereas, the presented method is able to do so. The proposed guidance law is assessed through simulation of perturbed cases, and the tests suggest that the method is able to operate semi-autonomously under control and thrust vector perturbations.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the problems and improvement areas by reviewing the laws related to kindergarden healthcare workers. Methods: The laws were searched at the Korean law information center (https://www.law.go.kr/). We reviewed the 「Early Childhood Education Act」, 「School Health Act」, 「Medical Service Act」, 「Elementary and Secondary Education Act」and their enforcement decrees and rules. Results: The legal role of health teachers as school healthcare professionals was comprehensively specified by the 「School Health Act. However, the qualifications for and roles of health teachers were not fully described in 「Early Childhood Education Act], indicating a unclear legal basis for the qualifications for and roles of kindergarten health teachers. To support healthcare workers in kindergartens, it is necessary to amend the 「Early Childhood Education Act」 that provides the guidelines for qualifications for kindergarten health teachers in elementary, secondary, and special schools who have completed necessary continuing education. A health hub kindergarten could be a step-by-step option for all kindergartens to have healthcare workers. Conclusion: This review demonstrated the importance of amending the laws on kindergarten health teachers and health hub kindergartens for child health and safety. These findings could be used to support policies related to kindergarten healthcare workers.

This study aims to investigate the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the stock markets of sixteen countries. Pooled OLS regression, conventional t-test and Mann-Whitney test are used to estimate the results of the study. We construct a weekly panel data of COVID-19 new cases and stock returns. Pooled OLS estimation result shows that the growth rate of weekly new cases of COVID-19 negatively predicts the return in stock market. Next, the returns on leading stock indices of these countries during the COVID-19 outbreak period are compared with returns during the non-COVID period. We use a t-test and Mann-Whitney test to compare the returns. The results reveal that investors in these countries do not react to the media news of COVID-19 at the early stage of the pandemic. However, once the human-to-human transmissibility had been confirmed, all of the stock market indices negatively reacted to the news in the short- and long-event window. Interestingly, we noticed that the Shanghai Composite Index, which was severely affected during the short-event window, bounced back during the long-event window. This indicates that the Chinese government's drastic measures to contain the spread of the pandemic regained the confidence of investors in the Shanghai Stock Market.

Recently, the problems in school violence did not stop on the crime between the members at the school and which developed into the invasion crime of the school caused by outsiders. The school is no more the safety zone from the crime. Particularly, in the case of the elementary school, because there are nearly no people who oppose to the outside attacker and can control this, it is the place where it is vulnerable to the invasion crime. The Metropolis of Seoul implements the School Sheriff system within the jurisdiction bureau, in the public elementary school. However, actually the School Sheriff business is being managed, never applying a rule in the Security Industry Law with the main content, that is the Security Industry Law application is excluded. Because the jurisdiction on the contract of Seoul City and operating company are run, the various issues is caused. First, since it is not being considered as a security business, the commercial liability insurance for security company has no chance to applicate when the operation company and the School Sheriff have related damage generation. So the security for the indemnification of loss of the victim is weak. Second, The task of the School Sheriff is ruled just by in the individual contracts. But it is insufficient with this thing. The related duties are required some supplement like a general rule application including the obligation of the guard in the security industry law. Third, the education of the School Sheriff needs to connect with the educational programme in the security industry law. The related professional education specially needed for the prevention of school violence ought to be reserved compensation. Forth, the citizens still demand the strengthening of police patrol for the surroundings of a school in spite of the result of Seoul City's public survey. Therefore, the active relation of cooperation with the police needs to be supported legally and institutionally with the Security Industry Law application. Fifthly, the success of the School Sheriff business can be more guaranteed with the supervision of the legal and institutional device like a the Security Industry Law application or police and all sorts of administrative execution's and etc.

In this note, we study a weak law of large numbers for sequences of exchangeable random variables. As a special case, we have an extension of Kolmogorov's generalization of Khintchine's weak law of large numbers to i.i.d. random variables.

Geometric singularity problems are principle difficulties of single-gimbal control moment gyros in spacecraft attitude control. To overcome these singularities, many steering logics have been studied. In this paper, a new null motion steering law is suggested, which is based on the minimization of the directional components of output torque with respect to the required torque. The suggested steering law has been simulated and verified to work well around several critical singular points which have been classified as testing points of avoidance algorithm in previous literatures.
