드럼 세탁기 Spider의 피로수명 신뢰성 평가에 대한 연구 (A Study on Reliability Estimation for Fatigue Life of the Spider from a Drum Washing Machine)

  • The spider of a drum washing machine receives the repeated fatigue loadings during laundering. Although the spider is designed statically safely, it often happens fatigue failure. Therefore it requires the safe design for fatigue and needs the prediction of quantitative fatigue life. The S-N diagram for a spider material is developed by fatigue test and statistical analysis. The stresses are measured directly from strain gages on the spider. To predict the fatigue life of spider, the rainflow counting method and Miner's rule are used. The data for fatigue life are analyzed statistically. From these data, reliability estimation for fatigue life can be done and also, equivalent fatigue life can be obtained. It will be applied to make and improve to a short period for design and prototype test.

모시, 아마, 면의 직접염료 염색에서 염색성과 염색 견뢰도에 대한 연구 (Dyeing Properties and colorfastness of Direct Dyed-Ramie, Flax, and Cotton)

  • In this paper, dyeing properties and colorfastness of ramie, flax, and cotton fabrics for direct dyes were compared. When dyed in a same liquor-goods ratio, in case of green dyes, colorfastness to light was similar for three fibers but in case of red dyes, cotton had a lower level. For colorfastness to laundering, there fibers were similar and three were no consistent differences. The degree of stain about white cotton fabric was higher in case of red dyes and it showed the difference of dye's properties. The degree of stain about white wool fabric showed the highs resistance or stain and little stain was seen. This result represented that the dyes. used were proper direct dyes for cellulosic fibers. For the difference of shade, the cotton was consistently brighter and the shade of ramie was darker than that of cotton and flax. This might mean that optical effects arose from the comparatively large cross-sectional size of the ramie fiber and its highly oriented structure.

Sputter etching에 의한 PET직물의 심색성 향상 (Increase in Color Depth of Black Dyed PET Fabrics Treated by Sputter Etching)

  • The alkali treated and black dyed PET fabrics were sputter etched under Ar gas atmosphere. The color depth of PET fabrics were increased with sputter etching time only under some limits of discharge power. And above that limits of discharge power the color depth of PET fabrics was decreased by increasing discharge power and treatment time. Minute cracks were made by sputter etching in the whole surface of fabrics to the direction of perpendicular to the longitudinal side of yarns. The fineness and density of minute crack were increased with lowering discharge power. And the size of crack was far smaller than that of microcrater which was obtained by alkali treatment. It is considered that the increase of color depth is related to the minute crack. The water permeation time of sputter etched fabrics was increased with increasing discharge power and treating time. The increase of color depth attained by sputter etching was fully kept through repeated laundering.

학부모를 중심으로 한 유아원복에 대한 태도 및 선호연구 (Survey on attitude and preference of the Uniform in preschool students' parents)

  • This survey intends to understand the opinion and status on preschool students' uniform wearing for the purpose of new style development. The results from this study will serve as an activator of related industry. The merit of uniform wearing in these students was recognized primarily as: (1) students can have pride in the schools they attend; (2) they need not worry about clothes to wear every morning. The disadvantage of uniform wearing derives from: (1) students' personality is hardly expressed by uniforms; (2) difficulty in uniform selection suitable for varying weather conditions. This disadvantage felt by their parents suggests the lack of personality expression and appropriate body temperature control. The most prevalent opinion for preference and future improvement points was the consideration of physical activity in children. This indicates that they prefer uniforms rendering minimal restriction on body movements. Other Improvement points stress the activity, uniform laundering and care, convenience in on and off, insulation, colors, design and durability.

세탁에 의한 면내의의 실용특성 변화 (Variation of some Properties on Contton Knitted Under Wears by Laundering)

  • In order to measure the change of constructional and some properties of knitted under wears by laundry, constructional properties, such as fabric count , yarn count, loop length and cover, factor, and some properties , such as shrinkage, tearing, strength, air permeability, electrostatic charge of under wears sold in the market were tested. The results of the experiment can be summarized as follows.1. Interlock and rib were increased in wale direction after laundry and decreased in course direction , plain was decreased, in both direction after laundry. 2. Loop form of plain was changed more than those interlock and rib after laundry. 3. Tearing strength was decreased 51% in wale direction, and 70% in course direction after 20 times laundry. Air permeability was generally increased. 4. Electro static charge was increased 9 times after laundry.

밤 외피 추출물을 이용한 면직물 염색에서의 두즙 전처리효과 (Reelection Device for Dyeability of Cotton Fabrics with Chestnut Husk Extract by Bean Sap Pre-treatment)

  • Chestnut trees have been used as a dyeing material, which are grow naturally, are cultivated all the area of Korea. So, there is abundant amount of the materials and they have better colorfastness than other natural dyeing materials. But chestnut husk extract is good at silk and wool fabrics, not cotton fabrics. That's why many methods using chestnut extraction for dyeing are being studied. But most of them depend on treatment method with chemical material which doesn't fit with the aim, using natural materials. Therefore in this research, we used protein pre-treatment method which is dyeing chestnut husk extract after treating at cotton fabrics with bean sap. And we studied the effect of dyeability of chestnut husk extract to cotton fabrics. As a result of pre-treatment of bean sap at cotton fabrics, dyeability was increased. Besides laundering fastness, dry cleaning fastness, perspiration fastness and light fastness were almost increased.

오징어 먹물 색소를 이용한 직물에의 염색 (Fabrics Dyeing using Natural dyestuff Manufactured from Squid Ink)

  • The natural dyestuff(squid ink) was manufactured from squid ink by boiling in 0.1% NaOH solution and powdering in freeze dryer. Cotton, wool, silk and nylon fabrics were dyed under several conditions using the manufactured squid ink to investigate the dyeability and color fastness. Dyeing was operated in acidic dyebath of pH 4 because the squid ink is anionic. Dyeabilities on wool, silk and nylon fabrics were good, especially silk fabrics were dyed deeper than others because of being amine group. But dyeability on cotton fabrics was low and developed with chitosan treatment. All the dyed fabrics showed excellent in color fastness to crocking and laundering. Also light fastness of them were excellent except nylon. The light fastness of dyed-nylon fabrics was as poor as grade 1, but they could be improved to grade 4 by aftertreatment with gallicacid. Useing the natural dyestuff-squid ink powder, we could execute whenever we want to dye fabrics in the adequate concentration. Dyeabilities were developed according to repeating times of dyeing and the increased dye concentration. We could recycle the wasting sources.

지의류로부터 제조한 염액의 직물에 대한 염색성 (Dyeability of Fabrics in Lichen Dyebath)

  • Silk and cotton fabrics were dyed with Parmelia tinctorium that is a kind of lichen. Dyeing solution was prepared by fermentation in aqueous ammonia solution. The effects of pH and temperature in dyebath on dyeability were investigated. The maximum K/S value of each dyed fabrics was showed in 480nm. Silk fabrics showed better dyeability than cotton. Silk fabrics dyed well in acidic or neutral dyebath at $80^\circ{C}$ and cotton fabrics in neutral dyebath at $50^\circ{C}$. Both of silk and cotton fabrics showed poor dyeability in basic dyebath because of colouring anionic groups in lichen. The Munsell values of dyed silk fabrics were appeared in R(red) range, and them of cotton fabrics in YR(yellow-red) range. Light fastnesses of dyed fabrics were as poor as 2 or 2-3 grades. Also, Laundering fastnesses of dyed silk fabrics were as poor as 2 grade and those of cotton fabrics were 3 or 3-4 grades. But dry-cleaning fastnesses of all dyed fabrics were good.

  • Perfluoropropene was plasma polymerized in the form of thin film on PET fabrics to give hydrophobic and barrier properties without affecting air permeability. Changes in surface characteristics were detected by application of ESCA, IR, SEM and contact anglemeter. The surface properties was changed markedly to be water and stain repellent although the effect was not much sensitive to the differences of chemical components of the thin films formed at different experimental conditions. The protective barrier characteristics of the thin film was also applicable to suppress the amounts of dyes extracted from fabrics in laundering.

유연제 사용에 따른 직물의 흡수성.유연성.대전성 변화에 관한 연구 (Effect of Fabric Softner on the Absorbency, Stiffness and Antistatic Properties of Fabrics.)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the changes of the fabric absorbency, stiffness and antistatic property by using a fabric softner at laundering. The samples selected in this study were cotton and polyester fabrics. The cotton fabric was treated with 1/2 times(0.035%), 1 time(0.07%), 3 times(0.21%) and 10 times(0.7%) of the commercially suggested concentration (0.07%) of the fabric softner. And polyester fabric was done at 1 time(0.07%) of that. In order to examine the effect of the fabric by using a fabric softner, the abstraction of a surface active agent and quantitative analysis was performed by using a UV/VIS Spectroscopy and the correlations among the absorbency, stiffness and antistatic property was analyzed. The results obtained from this study were as follows; 1. In the cotton fabric, fabric softner gave the degradation of absorbency, and stiffness improvement was not shown by repeated fabric softner on the cotton fabric. 2. In the polyester fabric, the absorbency increased and the stiffness in creased very slightly. Specially, it is desirable to use fabric softner on the polyester due to improvement of antistatic property.
