  • The improvement of spatial resolution is a fundamental issue in the two-photon, polymerization-based, laser writing. In this study, a voxel tuning method using a radical quencher was proposed to increase the resolution, and the quenching effect according to the amount of radical quencher was experimentally investigated. Employing the proposed method, the lateral resolution of the line patterns was improved almost to 100 nm. However, a shortcoming of the quenching effect was the low mechanical strength of polymerized structures due to their short chain lengths. Nano-indentation tests were conducted to evaluate quantitatively the relationship between mechanical strength and the mixture ratio of the radical quencher into the resins. The elastic modulus was dramatically reduced from an average value of 3.015 to 2.078 GPa when 5 wt% of radical quencher was mixed into the resin. Three-dimensional woodpile structures were fabricated to compare the strength between the resin containing radical quencher and the original resin.

  • Holographic Data Storage System, one of the next generation data storage devices, is a 2-dimensional page oriented memory system using volume holograms in writing and retrieving process. Recently photopolymer with disc type substrate was selected as a media for the Holographic Data Storage System. The disc tilt occurs when the media rotates and the external disturbance applies. The disc tilt causes the change of the angle between the reference beam and the media, the data cannot be retrieved with the right angle or other data page is retrieved. The tilt is generated in a 2-axis direction (tangential, radial). The tangential tilt direction is the same with the multiplexing plane, while the radial tilt direction is a perpendicular to the multiplexing plane. In this research we propose 2-axis tilt angle servo system. The tilt errors are measured by using external photo detector and the additional red laser. Then the tangential direction tilt is compensated by using the galvano mirror. Also the radial direction tilt is compensated by the rotating prism between the relay lens in the reference field. Finally we confirm the compensation results through the Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR) and Bit Error Rate(BER).

  • The pixelated phase grating has been studied as a kind of diffraction gratings splitting and input beam into multiple spots. It consists of regular size cells which produce phase delays, and each cell provokes the phase delay up to sixteen levels. We have compared and analyzed the characteristics of multi-level phase gratings, laying streess on efficiency and resulted pattern. Experimental resutls obtained form fabricated grating have been presented, and the real-time method using a liquid-crystal spatial light modulator has been demonstrated through experiments. Gratings making meams with specific intensities have been designed and optical images have been generated by them. In order to specific intensities have been designed and optical images have been genrated by them. In order to decide the phase delay of each cell, optimization conditon consists of diffraction efficiency and target values. One period of phase gratings fabricated with surface relief was less than 256${\mu}m{\times}256{\mu}m$ and size of each cell was 1${\mu}m{\times}1{\mu}m$ surface relief grating has been made by coating photoresist on the glass plate, writing information pattern by Ar laser and developing it. in the experiment for real-tiem processing liquid-crystal display of epson video projector has been used.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the present medical treatment in Korean oriental pediatrics. Methods : We selected 24 hospitals attached to 11 colleges of oriental medicine those stand for oriental pediatrics. We sent questionnaires of medical treatment for investigation and analyzed 15 copies of those were answered. Results : The most popular treatment was medicinal therapy. Acupuncture with medicinal therapy was not used as much, but laser acupuncture was used five times more in rhinitis. The frequency of using moxibustion and cupping were less than acupuncture and moxibustion was used as indirectly. Aroma therapy was the third most frequent therapy after medicinal therapy and acupuncture therapy. Aroma therapy was mainly used as a vapor inhalation and massage. 16 of the answered that the most popular exercise therapy would be by providing exercise guidebook and 11 of them said writing exercise diary, and 5 of them said by using exercise machine in the hospital. Conclusions : The most popular oriental therapy in Korea was medicinal therapy and next following were aroma therapy and moxibustion, cupping which is one of the traditional therapies in Korean oriental medicine.

  • In the paper, we report several experimental data capable of evaluating the phase transformation characteristics of $Ag_x(Ge_2Sb_2Te_5)_{1-x}$ (x =0, 0.05, 0.1) thin films. The $Ag_x(Ge_2Sb_2Te_5)_{1-x}$ phase change thin films have been prepared by thermal evaporation. The crystallization characteristics of amorphous$Ag_x(Ge_2Sb_2Te_5)_{1-x}$ thin films were investigated by using nano-pulse scanner with 658 nm laser diode (power; 1~17 mW, pulse duration; 10~460 ns) and XRD measurement. It was found that the more Ag is doped, the more crystallization speed was 50 improved. In comparision with $Ge_2Sb_2Te_5$ thin film, the sheet resistance$(R_{amor})$ of the amorphous $Ag_x(Ge_2Sb_2Te_5)_{1-x}$ thin films were found to be lager than that of $Ge_2Sb_2Te_5$ film($R_{amor}$ $\sim10^7\Omega/\square$ and $R_{cryst}$ 10 $\Omega/\square$). That is, the ratio of $R_{amor}/R_{cryst}$ was evaluates to be $\sim10^6$ This is very helpful to writing current reduction of phase-change random acess memory.

  • Field investigations of forests are carried out by writing measured data by hand, and it is a hassle to reorganize the results after a field survey. In this study, a method using object modeling and augmented reality (AR) was applied in a test forest to increase the efficiency of a field investigations. Using a 3D laser scanner, data on were acquired 387 trees within an area of 1 ha at the study site. The coordinates, height, and diameter were calculated through object extraction and modeling of a tree. The proposed can reduce the time required to acquire data in the field and can be used as basic data for building related systems. In addition, the modeling results of trees and a survey using GNSS and AR techniques can be used check coordinates, labor, and attribute information, such as the chest height diameter of the trees being surveyed in the field. The shortcomings of the survey method could be improved. In the future, the method could greatly improve the efficiency of tree surveys and monitoring by reducing the manpower and time required for field surveys.
