  • 본 연구의 목적은 열처리 전 후의 보론강 레이저 용접성을 비교하는 것이다. 일반적으로 보론강이 핫스탬핑 공정에 사용되고 있으며, 핫스탬핑 공정은 강판을 오스테나이트 온도까지 가열한 후 성형과 동시에 냉각하는 방법이다. 열처리후 보론강은 1500 MPa 이상의 고강도를 가진다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 보론강 및 핫스탬핑강의 레이저 용접성을 조사한 후 비교하였다. CW 디스크 레이저를 이용하여 레이저 출력 및 용접속도를 변화시켜가며 맞대기 및 겹치기 용접을 실시하였다. 맞대기 용접 결과, 핫스탬핑강에서 완전 용입을 얻을 수 있는 임계냉각속도가 보론강보다 낮았으며, 겹치기 용접결과 완전 관통이 일어난 용접 조건에서는 접합부 폭은 용접속도와 관계없이 거의 유사하였다.

소결밀도에 따른 분말 소결금속과 탄소강의 이종금속 레이저 용접성 고찰 (The Study of Laser Weldability of two different Metal, Carbon Steel and Sintered Materials, Depends on the Sintered Density)

  • Sintered specimen which used for a blade of diamond tool was manufactured in order to verify $CO_2$ laser weldability depend on sintered temperature. Five kind of specimen were prepared and the range of temperature is from $600^{\circ}C$ to $1000^{\circ}C$ at intervals of $100^{\circ}C$. As a result of the sintered density test, the porosity rate appeared in the range of $2.1%{\sim}21.4%$. After welding, the most segments had exceeds the minimum fracture stress (600MPa, The Standard Safety of Europe) at the welding strength test except on the sintered at $600^{\circ}C$. In case of the sintered at $700^{\circ}C$, even satisfied the safety allowable stress but cannot get the good quality for bead appearance because of humping defect. In the conclusion, we could know that it showed not only relatively soundness bead but also enough welding strength when the sintered blade of diamond tool is included less than 4% of porosity rate.

  • Laser beam weldability of Zircaloy-4 was investigated using a pulsed Nd:YAG laser of 550W average power. Mechanical properties and microstructure of laser butt welded Zircaloy-4 test specimens were examined. The influence of laser generated during laser welding was analyzed and optimum laser welding parameters were investigated.

  • This paper describes weldability of dissimilar metal plates with YAG laser for the use of a small-size electronic spring parts. Effects of welding conditions, combination of plates, thickness of upper plate are examined in relation to welding strength and microstructure of welded region. The obtained results are summarized as follows. Welding defects such as cavity and crack showed a tendency to easily occur in the case where 1) pulse duration is short, 2) laser power is high, 3) PBS plate with high thermal diffusivity is used for lower plate. Among these defects, the occurrence of cavity cased a drop of welding strength. This results from the reduction of welding area between upper and lower plates. In SK-5/SUS304 plates (thickness: 0.2/0.4mm/, welding strength was the highest in welding conditions: laser power is 30J/pulse, pulse duration 9ms, amount of defocus +2mm.

레이저 용접 블랭크 응용 자동차 범퍼 개발 (Application of Laser Welded Tailored Blank for Automobile Bumper Beam)

  • In this paper, weldability and formability of Tailored-Blank (TB) and the structural impact testing of bump beam were investigated to apply TB to automobile bumper beam. The optimal $CO_2$ laser welding condition for TB of SPFC and SPRC steel plates with different thicknesses was obtained. Before welding, the cross section of butt joint was prepared only by shearing without milling process. Real type bump beam was produced by two kind of forming processes such as roll-forming and press-forming, and the good formability of TB was obtained. Impact test results of bump by using pendulum and barrier were satisfied the impact regulation of bump. Finally. It may be confirmed that laser welded TB is well-balanced material in both weight reduction and production cost of automobile bump.

도금조건에 따른 알루미늄도금강판의 레이저 용접성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Laser Weldability of Aluminized Steel Sheet with Coating Condition)

  • The aluminized steel sheet exhibits excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, and can substitute for stainless steel or heat-resisting steel in some situations. Furthermore it has wide applications, owing to its low cost and excellent performance, in the petrochemical industry, electric power, other energy conversion system, etc. and has attracted the attention of many investigators. Laser welding is a remarkably advantageous method for welding of thin sheets and surface-treated steel sheets since the method requires less heat input, and it is suitable for high-speed welding. In this study, thus, the laser weldability of aluminized steel sheet was investigated. As the result from the study, there is an Al-rich zone in a welded part which has decreased the welding strength due to the intermetallic compounds in the Al-rich zone.

  • The laser welding and its analysis of thin-sheet carbon steels were carried out with high power CO$_2$1aser. Bead on plate welding of thin sheet was examined to investigate the effect of weld variables of laser welding, and to obtain optimum welding condition. Butt-welding was also carried out to show the effect of gap on the laser weldability of thin sheet. At high welding speed, the partial penetration was obtained by low heat input. Otherwise, porosity was formed in the bead at low weld speed because of too many heat input. The maximum gap tolerance on laser welding was observed to be about 0.2mm. This gap size has good relationship with beam size of laser spot(about 0.3mm). The formability of welded sheet was about 80% value of base metal and the gap size has not affected on the formability, although weld quality is dependent on the gap size.

  • 레이저 용접은 고밀도 용접법 중에 하나로 기존 용접방법에 비해 적은 입열로 깊은 용입과 빠른 용접속도를 얻을 수 있다. 연속 출력 파형 레이저 용접 시 입열량은 레이저 출력 및 용접속도에 의해 결정된다. 본 연구에서는 파이버 레이저를 사용하여 두께 0.5 mm의 순 티타늄 박판에 비드 및 겹치기 용접을 실시하였으며 레이저 출력 및 용접속도에 따른 용접성을 평가하였다. 레이저 출력 및 용접속도에 따른 용입깊이, 비드폭, 접합길이, 비드형상을 관찰하고 인장전단시험을 통해 기계적인 특성을 파악하였다. 실험결과, 겹치기 용접은 $P_L=0.5kW$, ${\nu}=2.5m/min$$P_L=1.5kW$, ${\nu}=6m/min$ 조건에서 양호한 접합길이를 가진 용접부를 얻을 수 있었으며, 용접부는 고출력보다 저출력 조건일 때 더 우수한 연성을 나타냈다.
