DEM generation of Rock Slope using Laser Scanning and Digital Stereo Photogrammetry (3D laser scanning 및 수치사진측량을 이용한 암반 사면의 DEM 추출 기법)

  • To obtain Digital Elevation Model(DEM) from an exposed rock mass, techniques such as laser scanning and digital stereo photogrammetric technique are recently applied. We have obtained the DEM of the rock slope using above techniques in this study, and examined a suitability and improvement of the photogrammetry for the rock slope by overlapping the DEM. This study can be applied to the measurement of fracture orientations, the prediction of rock joint network, and the analysis on the change of the rock slope.

  • 실내공간상에서 3차원 실시간 위치를 결정하는 다양한 측지기법들이 존재하지만 $100{\mu}m$ 이하 계측기 수준의 정밀도를 측정하는 방법은 여전히 Laser Theodolite 신호를 사용할 수밖에 없다. Rotary-Laser Automatic Theodolite(R-LAT)는 Fan Laser Beam을 주사하면서 회전시킨 후 주어진 공간의 수직과 수평을 계측하는 Laser Transmitter의 한 종류이다. 본 논문에서는 R-LAT에서 발생되는 Fan Laser Beam 신호를 취득할 수 있는 센서와 증폭회로의 개발을 통하여 3차원 공간좌표에 대한 회전변환행렬로 이루어진 알고리즘을 제안하고 실험을 통하여 기존 Laser Tracker에서 구해지는 공간좌표와 상호 비교하였다.

  • The structured lighting technique is a very accurate depth measurement method. One problem in this technique is that the laser light is invisible very often partly or as a whole caused from occlusion, light absorbtion, and reflection on the surface. If there is no laser light detected on a row of the image frame, the depth could not be computed at the point on the row. In this paper, a Dynamic Programing-based efficient laser line tracking algorithm is proposed to find the most likely line of the laser light utilizing all the possible information of the laser light trace. The performance of the algorithm is shown.

  • As the application area of range finder initially developed for military purpose has been extended, the necessity of precision measurement for long distance and its miniaturization is being presented. Recently, LRF(Laser Range Finder) is widely used because it shows more accurate results of range finding. However, most of LRFs use laser source which have wavelength ranges harmful to the human eyes.   • A laser moxibustion therapy device having effect similar to that of traditional moxibustion is being developed using 1064 nm infrared laser. The therapy device allows direct interaction of laser light with the tissue rendering temperature distribution both on the skin surface and deep under the skin. We made a device that could measure temperature of deep under the surface of agar gel tissue phantom using thermocouples. A thermal imaging camera was used to verify results from the temperature measurement device. We compared the characteristics of heat transfer inside the tissue phantom during moxibustion and laser irradiation. The temperature distribution measured by thermocouples was found to be similar to that of distribution given by thermal imaging camera.

  • Laser have been utilized as a heat source for the soldering of electronic components for the their capability of localized heating and faster heating rate. Laser soldering process, especially the diode laser soldering of BGA solderball was investigated. In this study, an attempt was made to investigate the possibility of laser soldering using Sn-37Pb and Sn-3Ag-0.5Cu solderball. The laser energy absorbed on the pad raised the temperature of the solderball forming a reflowed solder bump. The result were discussed based on the measurement of pull and shear strength of the bond.

  • In this paper, we carried out calibration of laser scanning MMS(Mobile Mapping System) using Lynx Mobile Mapper, a new MMS developed at Optech Incorporated. Laser scanning MMS could be defined as an integration of several subsystems. Subsystems are composed of laser scanner, gps receiver and antenna, INS(Inertial Navigation System), DMI(Distance Measurement Instrument). These are obtained 3D spatial information by direct-georeferencing technology. To obtain 3D spatial information, calibration of laser scanning MMS is required prior to operation system, it is similar to airborme lidar system. 145 checkpoints were used to accuracy estimation. The accuracy results are about 5cm(RMSE) for calibration in all directions(east, north, ellipsoidal height).

  • In this paper, we address an active ranging system based on laser structured light image for mobile robot application. Since the burdensome correspondence problem is avoidable, the structured light image processing has efficient computation in comparison with the conventional stereo image processing. By using a cylindrical lens in the laser generation, it is possible to convert a point laser into a stripe laser without motorized scan in the proposed system. In order to achieve robustness against environmental illumination noise, we propose an efficient integro-differential image processing algorithm. The proposed system has embedded image processing module and transmits distance data to reduce the computational burden in main control system.

  • We developed Frequency-shifted feedback laser using AOM inside the cavity. The feedback loop of the laser is formed with the first-order diffracted light of the AOM to output mirror. It is shown that the FSF laser output has spectral output called“chirped frequency comb”with an ultrafast frequency chirp rate of several hundreds of PHz/s. It can know the range using chirped frequency comb in the optical range measurement that is FSF laser as source.

  • Semiconductor laser diode has a reflective facet in a both-ends side fundamentally. Laser performance for improving, Anti-Reflection and High-reflection coating on the facet of semiconductor laser diode. To prevent internal feedback from both facets for realizing superluminescent diode and reducing the reflection-induced intensity noise of laser diode, it's key techniques are AR/HR coatings. In the study AR coating film were manufactured by Ion-Assisted Deposition(IAD) system. Then manufactured coating film measurement electrical properties(L-I-V, Se, Resistor) and Optical properties (wavelength FFP)
