Development of On-machine Flatness Measurement Method (평면도 기상 측정 방법 개발)

  • This paper presents an on-machine measurement method of flatness error fur surface machining processes. There are two kinds of on-machine measurement methods available to measure flatness errors in workpieces: i.e., surface scanning method and sensor scanning method. However, motion errors are often engaged in both methods. This paper proposes an idea to realize a measurement system of flatness errors and its rigorous application for estimation of motion errors of the positioning system. The measurement system is made by modifying the straightness measurement system, which consists of a laser, a CCD camera and processing system, a sensor head, and some optical units. The sensor head is composed of a retroreflector, a ball and ball socket, a linear motion guide unit and adjustable arms. The experimental .results show that the proposed method is useful to identify flatness errors of machined workpieces as well as motion errors of positioning systems.

  • A laser ultrasonic inspection system is a non-contact inspection device which generates and measures ultrasonics by using laser beam. A laser ultrasonic inspection system provides a high measurement resolution because the ultrasonic signal generated by a pulse laser beam has a wide-band spectrum and the ultrasonic signal is measured from a small focused spot of a measuring laser beam. In this study, galvanic corrosion phenomenon was measured by non-destructive and non-contact method using the laser. The case of mixed foreign material on the part of corrosion was assumed and laser ultrasonic experiment was conducted. Ultrasonic was generated by pulse laser from the back side of the specimen and ultrasonic signal was acquired from the same location of the front side using continuous wave laser and Confocal Fabry-Perot Interferometer(CFPI). The characteristic of the ultrasonic signal of exist foreign material part was analyzed and the location and size of foreign material was measured.

광간섭법을 이용한 절대높이 측정 정밀도 향상에 관한 연구

  • This paper proposes a high precision measurement technique to obtain the height of gage block. The proposed technique is consisted of two steps : In the first step, laser position transducer and electric micrometer are adopted to obtain a coarse value of the height of gage block, and then, second, heterodyne laser interferometry is adopted to acquire the precision value. The experiment results show that accuract in the order of a few nanometer is achieved for the gage blacks of as high as a few millimeter.

  • The heterodyne laser interferometer has been widely used in precise measurement field. However, the accuracy is limited by the nonlinearity error caused from incomplete laser sources and nonideal optical components. In this paper, we propose the Dual-EKF which estimates states and weights simultaneously to improve the resolution of heterodyne laser interferometer. As a proof, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method through experimental results.

  • 본 논문에서는 Laser Rayleigh Pyrometer에 의한 광학계의 개조와 측정기술을 발전시켜 지금까지의 측정이 불가능한 밀폐용기내에서 분출화염의 온도측정을 시도하여 분출화염에 의한 착화나 소염의 연구에 중요한 자료를 얻고자 하는데 있다. 밀폐용기내에서의 온도측정은 대기개방형에서와 같이 Laser의 에너지를 증대시키기 위해 이용한는 다중반사 Mirror가 사용될 수 없을 뿐만 아니라 약한 Rayleigh산란빛에 의하여 입사창이란 Laser Trap으로 발생하는 강한 배경광 및 분출화염 뿐만 아니고 착화된 화염에서 대량의 화학발광은 피할 수 없다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 영향을 제거하는데 노력하여 밀폐용기내의 연소장에서 온도를 측정하였으며 또 측정가능성을 시사하였다.

  • The simple and convenient measurement of the dissociation constant of an indicator, thymol blue, was achieved by using a portable diode-laser/fiber-optic thermal lensing spectroscopy, which consisted of a visible diode laser, a photodiode, and an optical fiber. It gives comparable results to the cited value obtained from a conventional UV/VIS spectroscopy.

  • This work forcus on the development of gas sensor that measure the concentrations of exhaust gas using diode laser. Each diode laser for exhaust gas measurement is set to work at near-IR using both DA and WMS methods. Also use of fiber-coupled optical elements makes such a sensor rugged and easy to align. On-line data acquisition and processing can be performed with a PC running LabVIEW software, and absorption signals are measured simultaneously by multiplexing method. Finally, It were experimentally compared WMS (Wavelength Modulation Spectroscopy) with DA (Direct Absorption) for the accuracy.

  • In this research, we proposed a method for high precision measurement than laser displacement measurement. The proposed method finds the causes of error due to change in reflected laser signal level reflected from an object and compensation, and we designed this by applying laser displacement meter.
