In this paper,we proposed and developed a compiler and interactive programming enviroments for C++ wich is mostly worth of nitice among the object -oriented languages. To develope the compiler for C++ we took front=end/back-end model using EM virtual machine. In develpoing Front-End,we formailized C++ gram-mar with the context semsitive tokens which must be manipulated by dexical scanner and designed a AST class li-brary which is the hierarchy of AST node class and well defined interface among them,In develpoing Bacik-End,we proposed model for three major components :code oprtimizer, code generator and run-time enviroments. We emphasized the retargatable back-end which can be systrmatically reconfigured to genrate code for a variety of distinct target computers. We also developed terr pattern matching algorithm and implemented target code gen-erator which produce SPARC code.We also proposed the theroy and model for construction interative pro-gramming enviroments. To represent language features we adopt AST as internal reprsentation and propose uncremental analysis algorithm and viseal digrams. We also studied unparsing scheme, visual diagram, graphical user interface to generate interactive environments automatically Results of our resarch will be very useful for developing a complier and programming environments, and also can be used in compilers for parallel and distributed enviroments.

Recommendations of ITU-T and ISO stipulate the managerial abstraction of static and dynamic characteristics of network elements, management functions as well as management communication protocol. The current recommendations provide the formal mechanism for the structural parts of managed objects such as managed object class and attributes. But the current description method does not provide the formal mechanism for the behavioral characteristics of managed objects in clear manner but in natural language form, the complete specification of managed objects is not fully described. Also, the behaviour of managed objects is affected by their temporal and active properties. While the temporal properties representing periodic or repetitive internals are to describe managed objects behaviour in rather strict way, it will be more powerful if more dynamic temporal properties determined by external conditions are added to managed objects. In this paper, we added dynamic features to scheduling managed objects, and described, in GDMO, scheduling managed objects that support dynamic features. We also described behaviour of managed objects in newly defined BDL that has dynamic temporal properties. This paper showed that dynamic temporal managed objects provide a systematic and formal method in agent management function model.
In distributed memory architectures like clusters, each node stores a portion of data. How data is distributed across nodes influences the performance of such systems. The data distribution scheme is the strategy to distribute data across nodes and realize parallel data processing. Due to various reasons such as maintenance, scale up, upgrade, etc., the performance of nodes in a cluster can often become non-identical. In such clusters, data distribution without considering performance cannot efficiently distribute data on nodes. In this paper, we propose a new data distribution scheme based on the number of cores in nodes. We use the number of cores as the performance factor. In our data distribution scheme, each node is allocated an amount of data proportional to the number of cores in it. We implement our data distribution scheme using the Chapel language. To show our data distribution is effective in reducing the execution time of parallel applications, we implement Mandelbrot Set and ${\pi}$-Calculation programs with our data distribution scheme, and compare the execution times on a cluster. Based on experimental results on clusters of 8-core and 16-core nodes, we demonstrate that data distribution based on the number of cores can contribute to a reduction in the execution times of parallel programs on clusters.
Recently, as the number of Internet users are growing explosively, e-learning has been applied spread, as well as remote evaluation of intellectual capacity However, only the multiple choice and/or the objective tests have been applied to the e-learning, because of difficulty of natural language processing. For the intelligent marking of short-essay typed answer papers with rapidness and fairness, this work utilize heterogenous linguistic knowledges. Firstly, we construct the semantic kernel from un tagged corpus. Then the answer papers of students and instructors are transformed into the vector form. Finally, we evaluate the similarity between the papers by using the semantic kernel and decide whether the answer paper is correct or not, based on the similarity values. For the construction of the semantic kernel, we used latent semantic analysis based on the vector space model. Further we try to reduce the problem of information shortage, by integrating Korean Word Net. For the construction of the semantic kernel we collected 38,727 newspaper articles and extracted 75,175 indexed terms. In the experiment, about 0.894 correlation coefficient value, between the marking results from this system and the human instructors, was acquired.
This paper presents a new web cluster scheme based on dispatcher which does not depend on operating system for server and can examine server's status interactively. Two principal functions are proposed for new web cluster technique. The one is self-controlled load distribution and the other is transaction fail-safe. Self-controlled load distribution function checks response time and status of servers periodically, then it decides where the traffic goes to guarantee rapid response for every query. Transaction fail-safe function can recover lost queries including broken transaction immediately from server errors. Proposed new web cluster scheme is implemented by C language on Unix operating system and compared with legacy web cluster products. On the comparison with broadcast based web cluster, proposed new web cluster results higher performance as more traffic comes. And on the comparison with a round-robin DNS based web cluster, it results similar performance at the case of traffic processing. But when the situation of one server crashed, proposed web cluster processed traffics more reliably without lost queries. So, new web cluster scheme Proposed on this dissertation can give alternative plan about highly increasing traffics and server load due to heavy traffics to build more reliable and utilized services.
MPEG-21 defines a digital item as an atomic unit lot creation, delivery and consumption in order to provide an integrated multimedia framework in networked environments. It is expected that MPEG-21 standardization makes it Possible for users to universally access user's preferred contents in their own way they want. In order to achieve this goal, MPEG-21 has standardized the specifications for the Digital Item Declaration (DID). Digital Identification (DII), Rights Expression Language (REL), Right Data Dictionary (RDD) and Digital Item Adaptation (DIA), and is standardizing the specifications for the Digital Item Processing (DIP), Persistent Association Technology (PAT) and Intellectual Property Management and Protection (IPMP) tot transparent and secured usage of multimedia. In this paper, we design an MPEG-21 terminal architecture based one the MPEG-21 standard with DID, DIA and DIP, and implement with the MPEG-21 terminal. We make a video summarization service scenario in order to validate ow proposed MPEG-21 terminal for the feasibility to of DID, DIA and DIP. Then we present a series of experimental results that digital items are processed as a specific form after adaptation fit for the characteristics of MPEG-21 terminal and are consumed with interoperability based on a PC and a PDA platform. It is believed that this paper has n important significance in the sense that we, for the first time, implement an MPEG-21 terminal which allows for a video summarization service application in an interoperable way for digital item adaptation and processing nth experimental results.
In recent years, the use of text inserted into TV contents has grown to provide viewers with better visual understanding. In this paper, video text is defined as superimposed text region located of the bottom of video. Video text extraction is the first step for video information retrieval and video indexing. Most of video text detection and extraction methods in the previous work are based on text color, contrast between text and background, edge, character filter, and so on. However, the video text extraction has big problems due to low resolution of video and complex background. To solve these problems, we propose a method to extract text from videos using the Harris corner detector. The proposed algorithm consists of four steps: corer map generation using the Harris corner detector, extraction of text candidates considering density of comers, text region determination using labeling, and post-processing. The proposed algorithm is language independent and can be applied to texts with various colors. Text region update between frames is also exploited to reduce the processing time. Experiments are performed on diverse videos to confirm the efficiency of the proposed method.

In recent days network computing technologies have bee developed rapidly and the extended use of Internet applications for enterprises such as internet/extarnet in and between enterprises has been increased enormously. Therefore the business in the future will be executed by virtual enterprise. Virtual enterprises which is based on information sharing between enterprises are composed of work processes related to information exchange between virtual enterprises, the team members who are representatives of the organizations that are participated in the actual business of virtual enterprises, and members who are representatives of the organizations that are participated in the actual business of virtual enterprises, and environment that are provided by supporting CALS(continuous Acquisition and Life cycle Support or commerce At light Speed). Supporting system of IDE(Integrated Data Environment)for CALS implementation that is provided as an environment of virtual enterprises has to ensure the autonomies of local data and to provide the accessibility of heterogeneous database of enterprises on network transparently for giving user a single global view of data. This paper introduce the design and implementation of the database broker system that can be accessed data transparently by the suers of participated enterprises in the integrated data environment supporting virtual enterprises. The system uses java/CORBA technology in Web environment and Object Query language (OQL) to process the queries of relational database system, object-oriented database system, and file information.
With rapidly developing Internet applications, an e-mail has been considered as one of the most popular methods for exchanging information. The e-mail, however, has a serious problem that users ran receive a lot of unwanted e-mails, what we called, spam mails, which cause big problems economically as well as socially. In order to block and filter out the spam mails, many researchers and companies have performed many sorts of research on spam filtering. In general, users of e-mail have different criteria on deciding if an e-mail is spam or not. Furthermore, in e-mail client systems, users do different actions according to a spam mail or not. In this paper, we propose a mail filtering system using such user actions. The proposed system consists of two steps: One is an action inference step to draw user actions from an e-mail and the other is a mail classification step to decide if the e-mail is spam or not. All the two steps use incremental learning, of which an algorithm is IB2 of TiMBL. To evaluate the proposed system, we collect 12,000 mails of 12 persons. The accuracy is $81{\sim}93%$ according to each person. The proposed system outperforms, at about 14% on the average, a system that does not use any information about user actions.

In this paper, we propose a design method for a digital filter using software in order to analyze the radio astronomy observation data. Recently the analysis method for radio astronomy observing system is transferring from hardware to software by developing of state-of-the-art of computer system. The existing hardware system is not able to easily change the specification because it is implemented to meet special requirements and it takes a high cost and time. In case of software, however, it has an advantage to implement with small cost if open software is used, and flexibly changes to satisfy the desired specification. But, in order to analyze the massive data like radio astronomy with software, the good performance system is needed for computer. Therefore, this paper proposes a digital filter design method using software with the same performance as that of digital filter implemented with hardware in observation system which is operated by the KVN(Korean VLBI Network). To design a digital filter, the proposed method is performed with standard C language and the simulation is conducted with GNU(GNU's Not Unix) Octave and investigated to show its effectiveness. In addition, for the high speed operation of the designed digital filter, the SSE(Streaming SIMD Extensions) library is adopted for available parallel operation. By the proposed digital filter, the digital filtering is performed for the wide band observation data in the KVN observation mode, the filtering result of narrow band observation has no ripple inside of stop band, and confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method.
