Study of organizational climate at NTPC, BADARPUR

  • Purpose- The study aims to understand the perception of the employees regarding employee relations, organizational culture, employee welfare and job design within the organization. Research design, data, and methodology - It is a descriptive study. A climate survey was conducted on the staff of NTPC, Badarpur. The sample size is 100. The data has been analyzed using excel and SPSS. Results - The study finds the lack of free flow of communication with the information by the top and middle management to lower levels, lack of existence of positive attitude, lack of recreational activities to bring stress level down. NTPC, Badarpur is an association which gives a wide range of offices to its workers along these lines giving fulfilment to its representatives all things considered. Conclusions - Correspondence network ought to be entirely clung to all the more free stream of correspondence by top and center administration. Greater lucidity with respect to expected set of responsibilities might be useful. Orderly enlistment is required. Human Asset prerequisites in groups should be re looked guaranteeing sufficient colleagues in a group. Workers are submitted towards association's objective. NTPC, Badarpur ought to move with the developing advancements so it can adapt up to the quicker rivalry.

농촌 지역주민들의 연령대에 따른 신체활동의 장애요인 (Barriers related to Walking Activity according to the Age Group of Rural residents)

  • 이 연구는 연령대를 성인, 전기 노인, 후기 노인으로 구분 후 신체활동과 인지된 운동장애요인과의 관련성을 보고자 하였다. 연구 대상자는 두 군데 면 지역에 거주하고 있는 주민들 1500명을 대상으로 실시하였으며 걷기실천율의 정의는 주 5회 이상, 한번 할 때 10분 이상, 하루에 30분 이상 하는 것으로 하였고, 인지된 장애요인은 시간부족, 사회적 지지 부족, 기력 부족, 의지력 부족, 부상에 대한 공포 등 5개의 영역으로 조사하였다. 연령대를 세 개 군(~64세 이하, 65-74세, 75세 이상)으로 구분했을 때 의지력 부족이 모든 연령대에서 유의하였고, 64세 이하의 경우는 시간부족이 관련이 있었으며, 65세 이상은 부상에 대한 공포가 관련 있었다. 결론적으로 의지력 부족과 시간부족에 대한 해결을 위해서 마을 내에서 일정한 시간대에 함께 걷기운동을 실시하여 이를 해결하도록 하고, 노인들에게는 낙상예방을 위하여 걷기운동과 같은 유산소운동을 권장할 때 근력운동을 병행해 실시하여 부상에 대한 공포를 줄여야 할 것이다.

대한 4학년생들의 진로미결정, 직업탐색행동 및 구직 성과 간의 관계 (The Relationship of Career Indecision, Job Search Behavior and Employment among College Seniors)

  • 본 연구는 국내 수도권대학의 4학년생들을 대상으로 진로미결정, 직업탐색행동, 그리고 구직성과 변인들 간의 관계를 4학년 1학기와 2학기의 두 차례의 조사를 통해 종단적으로 살펴보았다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 첫째, 4학년 1학기 때의 진로미결정의 인지적 상태와 직업탐색행동의 행동적 측면간의 관계를 살펴보았으며, 둘째, 4학년 1학기 때의 직업탐색행동과 6개월 뒤인 4학년 2학기 때의 구직성과변인들(서류통과, 면접통보, 최종합격)간의 관계를 조사하였다. 그 결과, 4학년 1학기 때의 직업미결정은 4학년 1학기 때의 직업탐색행동과 유의미한 부적관계를 가졌으며, 또한 4학년 1학기 때의 직업탐색행동은 4학년 2학기 때의 구직성과변인들과 유의미한 정적 관계를 보여주었다. 셋째, 직업탐색행동이 진로미결정과 구직성과간의 관계를 매개하는 변인임이 확인되었다.

  • This study was inverstigated on that a street view is the important point of the town planning. Until now, the street view has formed with senseless and coarse town planning because of lack of understanding of the street view during the urbanization in the same way and total lack of a consistent plan. On the sight of having a critical mind about the street view, this study was performed to present the analyses of the current problems of the street formation as the vivid directions of development for the future city view of the visual quality and the development of comfort.

경호실패귀인과 실패사례 분석을 통한 효율적인 경호운용방안 모색 : 경호환경의 실패요인과 위해패턴 성향 도출 (The attribution of the security guard failure and grope for efficient operational measures of security guard through the analysis of failures : propensity eduction of failure-factors of security guard and patterns of danger and injury)

  • 본 연구는 경호원의 실패요인을 규명하기 위하여 실패귀인을 추출하고, 사례통합분석을 통하여 위해패턴 요인을 도출하였다. 실패귀인은 완전 개방형 질문지(8명)를 시작으로 반구조화 질문지(17명), 폐쇄형 설문지(179명)를 제작하여 SPSS 21.0, AMOS 21.O 통계패키지를 통하여 자료를 처리하였다. 실패귀인과 실패사례 간의 인과관계(경호 실패패턴 요인)를 분석한 결과, 박정희 암살사건에서 불성실(2), 부정적 마인드(1), 업무능력부족(1), 경험부족(2), 조직의 비체계성(2), 사명의식결여(1), 개인주의(1), 업무공유실패(2), 사명의식결여(2) 등 14개의 실패 패턴이 발견되었고, 아웅산 묘소 폭발사건은 불성실(1), 부정적 마인드(1), 업무능력부족(2), 경험부족(2), 개인주의(1), 업무공유실패(1) 등 8개의 실패패턴이 있는 것으로 조사되었으며, 육영수여사 저격사건의 경우, 불성실(2), 부정적 마인드(1), 경험부족(2), 사명의식결여(2), 업무공유실패(1) 등 8개 실패패턴이 있는 것으로 조사 되었다. 3개 사례와 실패귀인 요인간의 관계에서 총 30건의 실패패턴이 발견되었다.

방관자의 집단 특성에 따른 또래괴롭힘 참여 역할행동 (Participation in Bullying : Bystanders' Characteristics and Role Behaviors)

  • This study analyzed differences of role behaviors of participants in bullying according to bystanders' characteristics. Participants were 112 $5^{th}$, $6^{th}$ and $7^{th}$ grade students. Bystanders' characteristics of empathy, negative attitudes about bullying, psychological burden, distorting of consequences, and attribution of blame were classified by K-Means Cluster Analysis into three groups with similar characteristics : lack of empathy/cognitive distorting, anti-bullying, and perception of cost groups. Major findings were that : the lack of empathy/cognitive distorting group had higher levels of bullying behavior than the anti-bullying group and higher levels of victimization than the perception of cost group. The anti-bullying group showed higher levels of defense behavior than the lack of empathy/cognitive distorting group. Implications for future research were discussed.

직무스트레스가 보육교사의 소진에 미치는 영향: 소명의식의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Job Stress on Child Care Teachers' Burnout: The Mediating Effect of Career Calling)

  • Objective: The purpose of the present study was to examine the mediating role of career calling in the relationship between job stress and burnout as well as the association among job stress, career calling, and burnout. Methods: A sample of three-hundred and seven child care teachers in the metropolitan area of Seoul completed questionnaires on job stress, career calling, and burnout. Results: Correlation and regression analyses indicated that lack of directors' leadership and administrative support, work overload, and career calling significantly predicted child care teachers' burnout. Moreover, the association of lack of directors' leadership and administrative support of burnout was mediated by career calling. Conclusion/Implications: The findings suggest that directors' leadership and seamless administrative support need to be emphasized in order to reduce burnout and mitigate work-related stress among child care teachers. The findings also highlight the important role of career calling in reducing burnout among child care teachers and suggest the consideration of career calling as a target in interventions and educational programs.

기업의 가족친화제도 시행의 장애요인과 탄력적 근무제도 활성화 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study of Obstacles to Implementing Family-friendly Policies & Offering Flexible Work Arrangements)

  • This study investigates the obstacles to implementing family-friendly policies and offering flexible work arrangements and provides policy directions. A survey was conducted of employers at 147 firms, resulting in 42-43 questionnaires being statistically analyzed. Frequencies, means and factor analysis were conducted by SPSSWIN 12.0. The findings are as follows: First, the main obstacle to implementing family-friendly policies was the burden of cost. Second, eight obstacle factors were extracted through factor analysis. They are; lack of replacement workers and concerns about equity issues, nonfamily-friendly culture, no guarantee of the effectiveness of programs, lack of information about the programs or polices, lack of communication and public relations, potential loss of productivity, administrative hassles, and structural obstacles. Third, there was a difference in implementing flexible work arrangements according to the factors of lack of replacement workers and concerns about equity issues and no guarantee of the effectiveness of programs. That is, the firms which didn't have these two obstacles tried to implement flexible work arrangements more than the others.

기능성이 향상된 아동용 스마트 태권도복 개발을 위한 연구 (A Study for Development of Smart Taekwondo Uniform with Enhanced Functionality for Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic information for developing a smart taekwondo uniform with enhanced functionality for children by investigating the wearing condition and satisfaction of taekwondo uniform among taekwondo training children. The data were collected from 162 children living in Seoul and Daegu. For data analysis were performed descriptive statistics, ${\chi}2$ -test and t-test using SPSS Ver. 12. The results of the analysis are as follows. The results revealed that respondents wearing the general training uniform during their training period were the most. The dissatisfaction for the general training uniform was a high price, lack of symbolic, lack of functionality in textiles, lack of variety in design and unfittness of size in order. The developed uniform can adjust the length using a zipper type fastener, and can be used in all seasons as the lining is detachable. It also uses nano-silver material, and soil release finish. It enhances the functionality of movement by treating with raglan sleeve and sleeve hem velcro tape, and designs the upper garment in the draping. Safety is improved through attaching GPS, and elastic material is mixed in the neckline for putting on and off easily. Piece of cloth is added inside the closing of the upper garment. Rings are made for fixing the taekwondo uniform belt. Pocket is designed in the lower garment and colors are multiplied.

Critical Drivers and Barriers of Corporate Social Responsibility in Saudi Arabia Organizations

  • Several studies demonstrate that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is becoming a dominant issue in both research and companies' management due to stakeholders' pressure. The identification of internal and external drivers and barriers is an initial stage of the corporate social responsibility implementation. The study aims to identify and analyze the drivers and barriers of CSR in Saudi Arabia's private organizations. For this purpose, primary data were collected using a survey questionnaire that was administered to a representative sample of companies from different sectors in Saudi Arabia. The results show that the main drivers behind the adoption of CSR among Saudi companies are improvement of corporate image, ethical/moral commitment, and to some extend customers' requirements and risk management. The findings of this study also suggest that there are important barriers hindering the adoption of corporate social responsibility. Among these, the lack of management commitment and the lack of investors' interests together with the lack of economic resources and lack of employees' competencies are the most prominent. The findings of this study not only contribute to a deeper understanding of CSR drivers and barriers, but could also encourage firms' managers and stakeholders to improve CSR activities for more effective implementation.
