  • LabVIEW is faster than text language based program regarding development time and can monitor the output of data fast without the separate compiling work as the graphic-based graphical programming language. And, its coding is fast because it is designed by connecting the function with the wire and its has the merit of relatively intuitive UI. In this paper, data transmission and receiving between the program that is implemented in C language as CAN communication method that is strong against noise and used in power electronics application field variously and LabVIEW based program are explained. And, the design of LabVIEW based CAN communication program, data analysis and GUI screen composition that is convenient for monitoring are shown.

  • This paper shows a monitoring program, and this Exploiting monitoring program is a program for real-time monitoring the current and voltage which is produced by wind generators. And this program helps to check efficiency and situation of the wind generator; therefore, it uses LabVIEW for this real-time monitoring program. It is expensive that the specific network is needed in the common LD (long distance) data transmission. So in this paper, it shows the transmission method which use ezTCP/LAN (Serial-port${\leftarrow}{\rightarrow}$LAN-port converter) and combine with the TCP/IP based on LabVIEW. And in this method the specific network is not needed for using the Internet network to transmit the data, which can reduce the application cost of the system.

  • In this paper, we suggest the object-oriented methodology for the design and implementation scheme for the program development in the application of control and instrumentation such as the detection system of RFID defective tags which needs the embedded programming. We apply the design methodology of UML in the system design phase, and suggest the implementation scheme of LabVIEW programs using LVOOP(LabVIEW Object Oriented Programming)in which make it possible to write the object-oriented programming. We design the class diagram and the sequence diagram using UML, and write the classes of LVOOP from the designed class diagram and the main VI from the sequence diagram, respectively. We show that it is possible to develop the embedded programs such as the RFID application through the implementation example of the detection system of RFID defective tags in this paper. And, we obtain the advantages based on the object-oriented design and implementation using the LVOOP approach such as the development of LabVIEW programs by adding the classes and the concept of object of the object-oriented language to LabVIEW.

  • A flow control system was designed and fabricated to control the flow rate of liquid through the pipe. This control system was composed of hardwares and software, hardwares as controller, gate valve, orifice meter and data aquisition board and software as National instruments Labview program. Control of flow rate was executed by adjusting the pneumatic valve located at the center of pipe line based on the control signal generated by LabView PID control algorithm, which converts analog signal measured by pressure difference of orifice to digital signal to adjust pneumatic valve. For the controller setup Ziegler-Nichols tuning technique was applied and control performances were investigated for not only the disturbance but also the set point changes. Developed system showed good control performances in flow control enough to use as teaching tool of feedback control theory and practice in university, and also as industrial application.

  • This paper introduces computer based practice for engineering education through using NI-ELVIS and virtual instruments of LabVIEW as application software. Different laboratory experiments "Labs" will be presented as convenient paradigms of adopting computer based practice for the efficacy of engineering education. Remote labs as web/internet or network-enabled controlled by remote server computer have been extensively used by a number of universities, national laboratories and companies for different kind of application around the globe. Overtime, as technology proceed in its progress, more developed techniques are being used particularly in the field of engineering education.

  • The monitoring system is an absolutely required system for improving a performance to consider the situation for the hybrid generation of the photovoltaic (PV) and wind power (WP) energy experimental research complex. This system is to monitor with the railroad switching point heating system using LabVIEW to the hybrid generation of the PV and WP. The monitoring system of this paper is a program monitoring the hour, day and total of the voltage and current that made from the hybrid generation of PV and WP. In experiment, we acquired the power data according to time at the day of PV and WP. We have confirmed the possibility of the real time monitoring system using LabVIEW with the railroad switching point heating system as the hybrid generation of the PV and WP.

  • As industrial robots come into wider use, their control techniques are being developed along with enhancements in their performance. Specially, the dynamic performance of a 6-axis articulated industrial robot is greatly changed according to the position and orientation of the robot. This means that the PI parameter tuning of the robot and orientation of the robot. This mconsidering the dynamic characteristics of robot mechanism. In this study, $LabView^{(R)}$ programming was applied to automatically conduct parameter scheduling for various robot motions. Using forward and inverse kinematics of RS2, we can divide the working envelope of RS2 into 24 subspaces. We then conduct the gain-tuning according to each subspace. Finally, we program the actual gain scheduling, in which the optimized gain-tuning for each subspace to be passed should be changed for various robot motions using $LabView^{(R)}$.

  • Recently, automatic control or application of measuring instrument with computers is rapidly increasing. In this paper we designed automatic incubation system that has functions of control and monitoring of measuring instrument, analysis of measured data, and automatic control by using LabVIEW graphic program that can easily collect, control, analyze, and apply data. Then to inspect the system we produced Incubator. Internal environment is measured by a sensor and each device is setting and controlled to create the optimum environment after finding hatching environment of selected individual from Database file for incubation. Through this functions, problems of hatching rate and quality that were affected by minute change of hatching environment are dealt successfully with, and retrenchment of labor and cost is expected as well.

  • The application and analysis of the interaction of various biomaterials including the concentration of biomaterials, thickness, and the ability of the detection of the analytical kinetic data of special biomaterials have been performed by SPR(surface plasmon resonance) sensor. To fabricate the scanning SPR, we designed data acquisition board and LabVIEW program for the personal computer to control the SPR sensor and collect the data from detector.

  • Recently, development and application of condition monitoring and diagnostic system for improvement of durability and reliability and reduction of operating cost is generalized in the aircraft propulsion system. Expecially, for reliable operation of the high altitude and a long time and condition monitoring system to identify faults and degradations of its propulsion system should be needed. This work proposed a GUI-based On-line condition monitoring program using LabVIEW by PT6A-67 turboprop engine. The proposed on-line condition program can monitor the real engine performance as well as the trend through precise comparison between performance results calculated by the base performance simulation program and measuring engine performance signals. In the development phase of this monitoring system, a signal generation module is proposed to evaluate the proposed on-line monitoring system.
