The present study investigated whether 6- and 12-month-old infants could infer an agent's social preference on the basis of intentions. In Experiment 1, 12-month-old infants were first familiarized with two kinds of event: the helping and the hindering events. In the helping event, an agent (either a square or triangle) tried to help a circle climb up the hill and the movie stopped right before the circle reached the top of the hill. Thus, the outcome of the helping behavior was made to be ambiguous. Similarly, in the hindering movie, another agent tried to hinder the circle from reaching the top of the hill and the movie stopped right before the circle slipped down to the base of the hill making the final outcome of the hindering behavior unclear. During the test trial, infants were either presented with an event in which the circle approached the helper (approach-helper condition) or an event in which the circle approached the hinderer (approach-hinderer condition). The results indicated that both 6- and 12-month-olds looked longer at the approach-helper event than at the approach-hinderer event. Thus, by 6 months of age, infants are sensitive to agents' intentions when reasoning about agents' social preference. The current findings add to the emerging evidence on social evaluation and moral reasoning during infancy.

This thesis discussed the status of women workers as wage laborers and home laborers and the valid of a documentary movie for representing women laborers through a documentary movie, Weabak that revolved around Home-ever occupation strike leaded E-Land labor union at 30th June, 2007. Jobs for women labors got covered by the flow of flexibility with the policy of labor flexibility in South Korea during 1990s. The reasons that justify this trend are their position in the households, and their roles in working places are not very important because there are not required difficult skills. The mass dismissal which caused the E-Land strike also shared these ideologies. In Weabak, since women laborers were always expected to care for their family, they were need strikes in their home as well as their working place. However, a household is a basement for them to get the identity as a women laborer. It has two ambivalent meanings, as a protected area and disorder for them to pursue their life at the same time. Identity of Women laborers, domestic laborers as well as wage laborers, are very difficult to identify as a general noun, a laborer. Weabak is an important example to show us the possibility of a documentary as searching new realism for representing women laborers' story using their own perspective.

The objective of this study is to see the characteristics of Korean films exported in Japan: preferred genres, casting of Korean wave star, major distributors' releases, number of spectators in domestic market. According to the analysis, first of all, Japanese movie goers prefer Korean melo-movies compared with Korean spectators who tend to like comics. It is also proven that Korean wave stars have been cast largely in Korean films exported in Japan. Furthermore, the big hit Korean films that have been distributed by 3 majors have been preferred by Japanese importers. That means the brand power of Korean distributors and release performance in domestic market can influence directly the exportation of films.

Three dimensional database of building use in Central Obihiro City was created and displayed using three dimensional graphics and quicktime movies. Then intra structure of Central Obihiro City was analyzed based on this database using GIS and the results were also displayed using three dimensional graphics and quicklime movies.

A short review on TOTO (TOtable Tornado Observatory), one of the earliest in-situ observing systems for tornado, is provided. TOTO was outfitted with sensors for measuring wind, pressure and humidity, and storm researchers, in mid-1980's, tried to put it inside tornadoes for detailed studies on tornado, but failed. However, the accumulated knowledge and experience with TOTO lead to a successful field program in mid-1990's. A story about DOROTHY, a parody of TO TO in the movie "Twister!", is also provided.

In this paper, the principle of devices which can magnify images without distorting the images is described. When the device is put on a smart phones, viewers can see the magnified images. Magnified images can be few 100 times bigger than the original images. Therefore, viewers can see movie theater size images with the device put on a smart phone. Two different schemes are explained in the paper and one realization of the device is presented. The device can be used in many different application areas.

The commercial value of the Korean animation was developed by the government's policies of revitalizing reform and national harmony from 1960 to the middle of 1980. Especially, the character of the anti communistic animation was organized by the structure of confrontation between South (good) and North (evil). The confrontation was viewed by communism and liberal democracy by red and white (or blue) and a pig or a boy. Such ideology and the policy of Korean culture gave some impact on its culture, for example, movie and animation. The animation became the tool of educating the idea of anti-communism and the policy of Korean culture by firming the policy of anti communism. But that animation of anti communism must not be blamed because it is a general animation of Korea which describes the reality. We have to take a hard view of the time and reconsider it by the new point of view.

Objectives : Recently, natural bioactive components catch a major attention for their potent anticarcinogenic activity. In this study, the inhibitory effect of Cinnamomi Cortex (CC) was examined in PC3 prostate cancer cells. Methods : The toxicity of CC extract was evaluated with cell viability and cell morphology. The activity of Yes associated protein (YAP) was tested with qRT-PCR for the target gene expression such as CTGF and AMOTL2. Western blotting was performed for the evaluation of phospho-YAP level. For cell motility analysis, cellular motility was imaged by live imaging system for 6 hr. Successive images were used for the generation of movie file. Using this movie file, cellular migration was manually tracked and analyzed using time-lapse microscope and Fiji software. Results : Cytotoxicity of CC extract was not detected at $500{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ or below concentration. Although $500{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ of CC extract reduced CTGF and AMOTL2 gene expression as YAP target genes, it was not statistically significant (CTGF expression P=0.0605, AMOTL2 expression P=0.4478). However, phosphorylated YAP was highly enhanced by CC extract treatment, when normalized with total YAP protein expression, suggesting YAP activation was inhibited. Finally prostate cancer cell motility was markedly reduced by $500{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ of CC extract. Conclusions : CC extract suppresses cancer cell motility and migration ability through inhibiting YAP activation without prostate cancer cell death, suggesting that this herb might be effective therapeutic drug for prostate cancer metastasis.

This study aims to establish the direction of development of Korean cinematography technology in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and present future development plan. First, in order to diagnose the current status, supporting policies of various countries and film technology research trends were analyzed. Each country is expanding the support for film technology including tax credits. Through the analysis of patents and research papers, recent issues have shown that Virtual Reality, HMD, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data are applied to film technology. Next, the survey results of Korean film technology level for filmmakers were 70% for production, 47.5% for distribution, and 60.3% for screening comparing to the level of the leading country. The gap was caused by the lack of funds for research and development and insufficient government support policies. In addition, interviews with film makers revealed the need to support filmmaking that combines technologies such as localized film technology, artificial intelligence, and deep learning. Finally, it is suggested that technology sharing platform should be developed in the future through the discussions of technology, science and academic experts', and technology development should be carried out in the field. As a result, film technology R&D should be promoted in order to develop technologies specific to movies. Advanced technology foundation for the growth of film technology should be developed to systematically equip the infrastructures such as education and human resources. In addition, technology development that links standardization should be carried out. In this study, we propose the development of Korean film technology to prepare for the 4th Industrial Revolution, and it is expected that the 2022 film technology power nation will be realized.
