  • The objective of this paper is to present relevant information and for proposing legal standards on pesticide residues around golf courses. Among 67 pesticide ingredients used for the courses in Korea, 30 items necessary for standard setting were selected and theoretical residue limits were computed. Pesticide residue limits applicable to golf courses in Korea were for 16 pesticides in run-off water on the health and ecotoxicological bases and in soil on the health basis, as selected by practical use pattern. It is recommended to accumulate scientific data by continuous research efforts in order to justify the pesticide residue limits in run-off water and soils of golf courses.

Market research was employed for judgement sampling using non-probability methods. Questionnaires were distributed to 600 golf players at three locations (Kangnam in Seoul, Kangbuk in Seoul, and Kyunggido), and were subjected statistical analysis using the SAS program. The results of this study are as follows: people considered "design/color" the most, "comfort sensation" the second, "brand name" the third when they purchase golf wear. Also we realized that there was a significant difference in brand awareness according to age, gender and area variables.ge, gender and area variables.

  • This study is aimed at establishing the categories and items for ecological assessment and evaluation of the environmental friendliness of golf courses in the capital region of Korea. The categories and items for the assessment have been derived based on the existing literature and interviews with golf experts. This study covers 32 golf courses in the capital region of Korea that are available in terms of data and on-site surveys. In order to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the environmental friendliness of the golf courses, the assessment area was divided into 4 categories that include a total of 14 sub-categories. The 4 categories encompass 1) location, 2) topography, 3) vegetation, and 4) construction. As its sub-categories, the location category includes current land use and zoning in the National Land Use Management Law. Topography has 2 sub-categories in the damage ratio of existing topography, gradient, cut area, and slope height. The assessment of vegetation is largely based on site surveys in the categories of preservation of the existing vegetation, the use of natural resources and existing trees, the component ratio of native tree species, the multi-layered structure of vegetation, and the utilization of water purification plants. In the aspect of construction, afforestation on tile slopes and the utilization of existing surface soil were evaluated. The examination of comparative analysis among the 10 items as a ratio measure showed that the scores were low in the sub-categories of current land we, the use of existing trees, and the multi-layered structure of vegetation. However, the rating results were satisfactory in the 2 sub-categories including cut area, and the utilization of native tree species. Those proved to be contributing factors in the ecological health of the golf courses. According to correlation analysis of the 10 items to the overall ecological rating of each golf course, the sizes of the 32 golf courses were mainly affected by the damage ratio of existing topography, gradient, preservation of vegetation and slope height. This study has the initiative to conduct an ecological assessment of golf courses in the country based on site surveys. The study results revealed that location factors such as current land use, damage ratio of topography and gradient and topographical factors were the main factors affecting the environmental friendliness of golf courses. This indicates indicating the significance of these factors in the future construction practices of golf courses. Furthermore, this study raises the need for follow-up studies to establish more detailed assessment criteria and to develop assessment techniques for areas such as slope afforestation and water purification plants that need a qualitative approach.

  • Recently, while 3D sports game increases, the research that it recognizes the operation of the real user actively progresses. Most of all, the research about the golf is active. In this paper, the image acquiring in a high-speed CCD camera measures the flight data of the golf ball through the image processing. While photographing, the high-speed camera, using this system, exposes an image at regular intervals. And line scan camera checks whether the golf ball passed or not. After the location information of the calculated golf ball calculates a speed and a direction by using the physical formula, it applies the golf simulation.

  • Purpose: The technology acceptance model (TAM) refers to a theory that maps the possibility or extent to which users can accept an innovative technology. The purpose of the current research is to investigate the mediating effect of TAM between online review and behavior intention for promoting golf app's distribution. Research design, data and methodology: In order to examine the relationship between app usage reviews, TAM, and behavioral intentions of golf app participants, the present author collected total 170 responses from South Korean participants based on web-based survey system. The main methodology which was selected by this study is mediation causality analysis that Baron and Kenny suggested. Results: The statistical findings definitely indicated that TAM mediating role exists between the positive emotion of golf app users regarding online reviews and positive behavior intention of golf app, which means that all three steps of mediation causality analysis were statistically significant. Conclusions: The present research concludes that the correct utilization of innovation in the design and implementation of the technology features translates into performance excellence. The model can be used to increase the online presence through innovation as a primary drive toward providing more convenience and accessibility to the users through mobile golf apps.

Firstly, were mostly 40s, college graduates, Buddhists or had no religion, had housekeeping as occupation, had average household income, and most of them were healthy. In addition, descriptive statistics on their years of experience in golf, golf strokes, field, practice frequency, and practice hours were all above average. Secondly, significant correlations were suggested between experience in golf, golf strokes, field, practice frequency, silence during practice hours, and in the subjective happiness of negative correlation as a result of analysing the correlations between the factors. Thirdly, the field, practice frequency, and practice hours affected the subjective happiness.

  • This study targeted adult golf-exercise participants and the purpose of this study was analyzing the effect of exercise-addiction among the participation rate factor in golf-exercise participants. To achieve the purpose of this study, the researcher chose 500 golf-exercise participants located in the D city area, who golf at indoor and outdoor driving ranges. A total of 456 questionnaires were used for the final study and each questionnaire consisted of questions including demographic variables. By using SPSS/PC+ Win 15.0 program, the primary data analysis were frequently analyzed to find out general aspects of golfers, exploratory cause analysis verifies the reliability and validity of the preliminary and factor analysis, ANCOVA. Through this research method and procedure, the following conclusion was drawn. First, depending on the frequency of participants in a round of golf exercise addiction is a difference. Second, golf participants' average score is the difference between the exercise addiction.

  • This study investigated empirically the structural relationship of golf participants' basic psychological needs, exercise emotion, and exercise-adherence behavior. Using two-hundred thirty questionnaires, the results were as follows. First, golf participants' autonomy, competence, and relatedness had a significant impact on the positive emotions. On the other hand, only competence lowered the negative emotions, and the other variables did not have a significant impact. Second, golf participants' autonomy, competence, and relatedness increased the exercise-adherence behavior. Third, golf participants' positive emotion increased the exercise-adherence behavior but a negative emotion decreased it. In terms of the indirect effect, golf participants' autonomy, competence, and relatedness influenced the exercise-adherence behavior, which was mediated by exercise emotion. This study is useful to sports participants interested in real value and a happy life through exercise-adherence behavior.
