  • This study aims to describe the perceptions of accounting students and expectations of employers towards the skills and knowledge needed by accounting graduates in Indonesia. Quantitative method using survey is employed to analyze 103 questionnaires from students and 51 questionnaires from employers. The results showed that students' perceived honesty, continuous learning, and work ethics are important skills, while employers stress the importance of work ethics, teamwork, and time management. Knowledge needed by accounting graduates in the perception of students includes financial accounting, financial reporting, and financial statement analysis, whereas employers perceived the importance of financial statement analysis, knowledge of Microsoft Office program, and financial accounting. Further analysis showed that there is an expectation gap between the perceptions of students and the expectations of employers towards skills - not knowledge - needed by accounting graduates. Although investigations of students' perceptions and employers' expectations have been conducted in previous studies, the information should be updated continuously to reflect the current conditions. This study offers the recent perceptions from students and employers to identify the current expectation gap. This study points to the importance of skills development in the university curriculum in order to develop the skillful human resources in accounting and meet the expectations of employers.

  • Knowledge base means a library stored in computer system providing useful information or appropriate solutions to specific area. Knowledge base associated with autism is the complex multidimensional information set related to the disease autism for its pathogenic factor and therapy. This paper focuses on the knowledge of biological molecular information extracted from massive biomedical texts with the aid of widespread used machine learning methods. Six classes of biological molecular information (such as protein, DNA, RNA, cell line, cell component, and cell type) are concerned and the probability statistics method, conditional random fields (CRFs), is utilized to discover these knowledges in this work. The knowledge base can help biologists to etiological analysis and pharmacists to drug development, which can at least answer four questions in question-answering (QA) system, i.e., which proteins are most related to the disease autism, which DNAs play important role to the development of autism, which cell types have the correlation to autism and which cell components participate the process to autism. • Organizations are increasingly adopting Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) to effectively manage knowledge within the organization and realize firm and operational level benefits. However, many KMS implementations fail to yield desired outcomes due to the lack of understanding of the antecedent of successful knowledge management. Prior studies have established that organizational cultural values are one of the key enablers of knowledge management. We develop a computational model of organizational knowledge processes and employ simulations to examine the impact of KMS in different organizational cultural settings. We find that cultural values that govern the employees' predisposition towards seeking knowledge from others have a greater influence on KMS effectiveness than those that govern the employees' attitudes towards sharing their knowledge with others. We also find that organizations with cultures that foster high levels knowledge sharing behaviors can expect performance gains if KMS implementations incorporate knowledge seeking activities into the employees' work processes.

  • This study empirically examines the correlation between the data, system, service quality, collective intelligence, innovation activity, and work performance of the KMS for employees of state-run enterprises. This study also confirmed that collective intelligence and innovation activity have a mediating effect on the relationship between KMS system quality and work performance. For this study, employees of state-run enterprises completed a 5-point Likert scale survey, and the data obtained were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The reliability and validity of variables were also verified through a measurement model analysis. Structural equation modeling of IBM SPSS 26 and AMOS 26 were used to prove the hypothesis. Through this study, For the improvement of sustainable work performance of state-run enterprises, which is a difficult issue to solve, not only should the quality of the KMS utilized in the enterprises be improved and managed, but also the design for various incentive schemes tailored to the enterprises' job characteristics, such as rewards, HR bonus, work incentives, job allowance, and encouragement from the head of the enterprise, should be reviewed and continuously developed in reflection of the active collective intelligence of the employees and the effect of innovation activities. Then, the work performance of public institutions will increase.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception about AI assistants and the differences between two groups, workers(secretaries) and supervisors(bosses), using the Q-methodology which has an advantage in understanding the types of subjective perceptions. Through literature reviews and interviews, 34 Q-samples were extracted, and then Q-sorting was conducted by P-samples(20 workers and 15 supervisors). As a result of Q-sorting, the types and characteristics of AI assistants perceived by each P-sample were explained. The perception of the workers divided into five distinct types, and the perception of the supervisors was divided into three distinct types. The most crucial factors in distinguishing between workers and supervisors' perceptions depend on whether they are capable of performing certain tasks and whether they can replace existing secretarial jobs. This study, as the primary research on AI assistants, can help to redefine the work that can be replaced by AI and the work that only people can do, and thus to establish education, recruitment, and training plans.
