In terms of deregulation requests from business, incidents at construction sites are rapidly increasing after reducing the regular safety training hours. Especially, to prevent incidents through safety trainings for construction site workers, who have lots of hazardous tasks than general manufacturing, is not only to protect property of both the companies and the country but also to increase their profits. That is why there are loud voices regarding that the safety training is a core mandatory to prevent industrial incidents. But, most companies, as soon as the deregulation for safety training is implemented, mitigated conducting safety trainings to prevent incidents. With this, the incidents are currently to be increased and caught in a vicious circle of many incidents at the smaller companies because of their absentmindedness regarding safety training due to their poorness as subcontractors of major companies, comparing to major companies. This study explains that the difference between managers and workers are existing about safety awareness and knowledge. And, we confirmed that the educational factor led by deficiency of safety awareness and knowledge was the major factor.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between core factor of Knowledge Management(KM) and organizational effectiveness. The objects of study are middle manager in hosing construction and civil engineering and construction industry, and the sample size is 228. The core factor of KM and indicator of organizational effectiveness are drawn by literature survey. The core factors are classified into human capital, organizational capital, structural capital, (to put it concretely), job capability, human relation, strategy, information technology, process, sharing culture, leadership, measurement. The indicator of organizational effectiveness are measured by job satisfaction, organization loyalty, competitiveness. The main results of this study can be summarized as the following. 1) The core factor of KM has a positive relationship to organizational effectiveness. Especially, the core factor of sharing culture and leadership are strongly relationship with organizational effectiveness. 2) There was a high positive correlation between job satisfaction and organization loyalty. 3) Human, structural, and structural capital had a different affect on organizational effectiveness. 4) The more job position and educational level high, the more they recognized that KM is necessary for their organization. 5) Among the success factor in KM, the factor of job capability was well perceived to respondent. According to this study, we can analyzed the relationship between success factor and organizational effectiveness, and drawn the most influence success factor on organizational effectiveness. Concurrently, the results of this study will be useful guidelines for shaping the KM operation framework in construction industry.

워드넷(WordNet)의 논리적 내포관계(ISA)를 자동으로 WIKI와 같은 동적인 백과사전으로부터 구할 수 있다면, 워드넷과 같은 지식베이스를 전문분야로까지 쉽게 확장할 수 있을 것이다, 또한 동적인 백과사전에 기반하기 때문에 지식베이스의 동적인 업데이트가 가능하게 된다. 본 논문은 워드넷과 같은 정적이고 수동으로 제작된 개념망이 온라인상의 동적 백과사전에 의해서 어느 정도 자동화 될 수 있는지 밝히고자 하였다, 워드넷의 IT관련 100개의 표제어에 대해서 WIKI 백과사전에서 추출한 정의를 이용하여 ISA관계를 구축하고 그 결과가 워드넷과 어느 정도 일치하는지를 실험하였다. 실험결과 자동 구축된 ISA관계는 워드넷에 대하여 80%의 일치율을 보였다.

In competitive society, performance management is an essential element of business success. Despite the importance of performance management, it has not been widely implemented in construction companies. In the recent years, construction companies have become more aware of its need to identify, implement, and sustain performance improvements more systematically. Thus, the objective of this paper is to develop performance management system (PMS) for construction companies. The roles of performance management system is not only measuring performance but also offering guidance to improve performance. Therefore, PMS needs benchmarking process that provides Best Practice and new knowledge. This paper investigates the case of PMSs in UK, USA, Brazil, and Chile and discusses the lessons learned. To overcome the limitations of existing PMSs, new performance measurement framework, in form of 'Construction' BSC, is proposed. Based on the 'Construction' BSC, key performance indicators are derived and methodology of performance management is suggested. This paper concludes by developing PMS for benchmarking in construction companies and recommending some further directions on this research topic.

The BIM-based architectural design can be the optimal method to improve all sectors of construction industry and reduce environmental impact through digital technologies. The goals and effects of BIM needs in LH to be newly planned based on the experience of public sectors, which will ultimately contribute to maximization of effectiveness. Referring the excellent case in the UK, the current BIM standards according to maturity level 2 handle the contents related to modeling, collaborative data production, data management and assure BIM data have to be used from building construction to operation and maintenance of buildings. Therefore the strategy for the utilization of BIM for construction projects in LH consisted of three steps; first, the minimization of defects via BIM: second, strengthening the competitiveness of construction and asset management: third, upgrading the system of building production and maintenance control. After this trial, LH can accumulate know-how for building construction to be more costeffective and competitive.

지식사회에서 주요자원은 지식이 되며 이러한 지식을 관리하는 도서관의 역할이 매우 중요하다. 기하급수적으로 증가하는 지식정보들 중 조직구성원들이 필요하고 유용한 지식만을 선택하여 이용자의 취향에 맞는 형태로 제공할 수 있는 지식정보관리가 필요하다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 기존의 도서관 정보봉사에서 나타나는 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 도서관이 수행해야 할 역할 및 기능들을 Help-Desk 서비스 측면에서 온라인과 오프라인으로 구성요인들을 조사하고 분석하였다. 이 결과를 토대로 웹기반 Help-Desk 지식관리 시스템 모형을 제시하였다.

The development of a practical technology intelligence system requires a knowledge base that structures the core information and its relationship distilled from large volumes of technical data. Previous studies have mainly focused on the methodological approaches for technology opportunities, while little attention has been paid to constructing a practical knowledge base. Therefore, this study proposes a procedure to construct a function-based knowledge base for technology intelligence. We define the product-function-technology relationship and subsequently present the detailed steps for the knowledge base construction. The knowledge base, which is constructed analyzing 1110582 patents between 2009 and 2013 from the United States Patent and Trademark Office database, contains the functional knowledge of products and technologies and the relationship between products and technologies. This study is the first attempt to develop a large-scale knowledge base using the concept of function and has the ability to serve as a basis not only for furthering technology opportunity analysis methods but also for developing practical technology intelligence systems.

Continual attempt to accumulate and apply information eventually gives birth to the concept of the 'Semantic Web'. Thus, the 'Semantic Web' can be defined as a product of mankind's desire to standardize information. A term of knowledge is used as information or data in computer science. These are regarded and are divided sometimes each other in terminologies that have similar meaning. If it is divided, knowledge is different from information. However, some kind of information in Knowledge Representation is called knowledge often if it can be expressed in computing system. Therefore, knowledge representation can talk as information representation. The purpose of the study is systematizing knowledge through knowledge representation that uses Delphi technique and ontology is designed by utilizing assistance editor called protege-2000 to construct semantic web environment's ontology. Level of interest regarding the construction and evaluation of search systems based on ontology is set to increase. If defined well, semantic can reflect human's thinking to knowledge information on web. Furthermore systematizes knowledge, search of information and comprehension about Jeju tour using present computer may be done intelligence.

It is a challenging task to introduce and apply a theoretical concept like KM (Knowledge Management) to the corporate management by formulating such notion into a computer-based system. Apart from that, a company who suffers financially will be very much reluctant to employ KM, a solution that will not make an immediate impact on profit generation. Nonetheless, the perception of life-long workplace is being replaced by that of life-long career in today's society, and consequently it has become a key importance for the management to minimizing the Joss of valuable knowledge that results from frequent shift of manpower. Furthermore, knowledge is now regarded as a key to corporate competitiveness as its value has become a more important factor than that of physical resource in estimating a company's value. It is therefore necessary to transform such implicit knowledge that one possesses in his/her mind to a formation so that a company can achieve the ultimate goal of implementing KM: increase of profit and cost reduction. The objective of this research is to look into the case examples of the way in which Samsung Electronics implemented KM and help set the direction for those companies who consider employing KM into their corporate system.

Due to the increasing use of very large databases, mining useful information and implicit knowledge from databases is evolving. However, most conventional data mining algorithms identify the relationship among features using binary values (TRUE/FALSE or 0/1) and find simple If-THEN rules at a single concept level. Therefore, implicit knowledge and causal relationships among features are commonly seen in real-world database and applications. In this paper, we thus introduce the mechanism of mining fuzzy association rules and constructing causal knowledge base form database. Acausal knowledge base construction algorithm based on Fuzzy Cognitive Map(FCM) and Srikant and Agrawal's association rule extraction method were proposed for extracting implicit causal knowledge from database. Fuzzy association rules are well suited for the thinking of human subjects and will help to increase the flexibility for supporting users in making decisions or designing the fuzzy systems. It integrates fuzzy set concept and causal knowledge-based data mining technologies to achieve this purpose. The proposed mechanism consists of three phases: First, adaptation of the fuzzy membership function to the database. Second, extraction of the fuzzy association rules using fuzzy input values. Third, building the causal knowledge base. A credit example is presented to illustrate a detailed process for finding the fuzzy association rules from a specified database, demonstration the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
