  • IPv6 enables stateless address configuration of hosts. Using this technique, a host in an IPv6 network can configure its address automatically with the help of a router. This eliminates the need for a server to manage the address dispatching state in conventional IPv4 networks. In this paper, we present a stateless configuration technique for routers. By expanding IPv6 stateless address configuration, a router can configure its network with the help of an upper level router, enabling a hierarchical, router-to-router network automatic configuration

  • Configuration management is an important project management method. Configuration management is increasing daily and improving defense power as a management tool for technical data of power support systems. Configuration management work must be carried out properly from the beginning of development to acquire an excellent weapon system. In procurement, configuration management is a vital factor that can determine the cost of maintaining operations during the transfer of military supplies and carry out systematic management among operational support. Countries are making changes to policies and systems to manage R&D, standards, and patents in conjunction with each other from the beginning of research and execution, and it is important to establish the concept of managing and controlling the configuration as an efficient means of managing military resources. To identify the activity details during the entire life cycle from the beginning of acquisition to the end of disposal by linking munitions configuration control with the total life cycle, and redefine the appropriate work system, this study investigated and analyzed the U.S. configuration control procedures to identify the activity details and present areas to develop.

  • Log analysis and monitoring have a significant importance in most of the systems. Log management has core importance in applications like distributed applications, cloud based applications, and applications designed for big data. These applications produce a large number of log files which contain essential information. This information can be used for log analytics to understand the relevant patterns from varying log data. However, they need some tools for the purpose of parsing, storing, and visualizing log informations. "Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana"(ELK Stack) is one of the most popular analyzing tools for log management. For the ingestion of log files configuration files have a key importance, as they cover all the services needed to input, process, and output the log files. However, creating configuration files is sometimes very complicated and time consuming in many applications as it requires domain expertise and manual creation. In this paper, an auto configuration module for Logstash is proposed which aims to auto generate the configuration files for Logstash. The primary purpose of this paper is to provide a mechanism, which can be used to auto generate the configuration files for corresponding log files in less time. The proposed module aims to provide an overall efficiency in the log management system.

  • Configuration management plays a key role in systems engineering process for any project from earlier stage of development. It consists of five major activities, ie., configuration management planing, configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting and configuration verification and audit, and is essential to control system design development and operation throughout entire life cycle of the system development. And it is directly associated with other part of systems engineering management, ie., technical data management which provides traceability of important decisions and changes during development. In this paper, we describe how to apply CASE(Computer-aided Systems Engineering) tool-Cradle for the configuration management to achieve effectiveness of City Train Standard Specification Management process.

  • 반도체 웨이퍼 및 각종 박막의 면/비저항(sheet/resistivity resistance)의 측정에 비교적 간단히 측정할 수 있고 측정정확도가 높은 4탐침(four-point probe)방법이 널리 사용되고 있다 또한 4탐침 측정방법은 높은 분해능의 contour map작성과 ion implantation의 doping accuracy 및 doping uniformity의 측정에도 사용된다. 최근 재료의 소형, 박막화 경향으로 볼 때 정확한 비저항 측정의 필요성이 요구되고 있으며 이에 따라 4탐침 측정기술인 single 및 dual configuration method로 실리콘 웨이퍼에 대한 비저항의 측정 정확도를 고찰한 결과 dual configuration 측정방법이 single configuration측정 방법에 비하여 정밀 정확도가 더 좋은 것으로 고찰되었다.

  • The aerodynamic performance of airplane is different according to the configuration of landing gear. As the drag becomes different according to this configuration, the flow stream of air must be smooth at taking off and landing. In this study, the configuration of landing gear was designed each in order to enhance the energy efficiency of airplane. Five models were compared in total at analysis. The magnitudes of drag and pressure became different and the air pressure of wake were changed due to the configuration. So, the air pressure due to the flow velocity and the air resistance happening at the rear can be estimated according to the configuration of landing gear. It is thought to improve the performance of airplane through the result of this study.

  • To reduce system complexity and implementation costs, fully-controlled H-bridge (FHB) modules and diode H-bridge PFC (DHB) modules are cascaded to form a hybrid cascaded H-bridge rectifier (HCHR). In this paper, the advantages of such a HCHR over other cascaded rectifiers are analyzed depending on the numbers of FHB modules and DHB modules. Therefore, to assign proper numbers to these two kinds of modules for the HCHR, a configuration determination method is investigated under balanced and imbalanced loads. Three principles are also presented to guide the configuration determination for the HCHR. In addition, the constraints for selecting the step-up ratio and filter inductance are derived based on a phasor diagram analysis. The proposed configuration determination method is validated by simulations under three different conditions in the PSIM environment. Finally, experiments are carried out on a scaled-down prototype where the configuration can be easily adjusted. The feasibility of the proposed theory is then verified by experimental results.

  • Configuration Management (CM) is a management discipline that applies technical and administrative direction to the development, production and support life cycle of a configuration item. This paper introduces an application of this disicipline to ISO 9000 quality systems. A proto type CM information system caned CM / ISO 9000 is implemented via a comparison and anal37sis of CM standards such as ISO 10007, MIL-STD-2549 and EIA Standard IS-649. This system demonstrates 4 basic CM functions consisting of configuratin identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audit. In the system, configuration items such as documents and drafts can be managed to ensure effective ISO 9000 quality systems. Implementation is supported by IDEF0, IDFF1x in modeling, MS SQL Server Ver. 7.0 as DBMS and Visual Basic Ver. 6.0 for interface programming.

  • 박막 재료의 면저항 측정은 일반적으로 FPP(Four-Point Probe)원리를 적용한 측정기률 사용하고 있다. 개발된 면저항 측정기의 특징은 dual configuration 기술을 적용하여 탐침 간격에 대한 시료의 크기 및 두께에 대한 보정계수를 고려하지 않아도 되므로 누구나 업고 정확하게 사용 할 수 있다. 측정범위는 $1\;m{\Omega}{/\square}\;{\sim}\;1\;G{\Omega}{/\square}$이며, 반복성과 재현성 및 직선성은 0.1 %이하로서 우수한 특성을 나타냈다. 또한 기존의 면저항 측정기에 적용된 single configuration 기술에서 나타나는 가장자리 효과의 단점을 dual configuration 기술을 적용하여 해결하였고 정밀 정확도를 향상시켰다. 개발된 면저항 측정기의 특성평가는 국가측정표준으로부터 소급성이 유지된 표준저항, 분할저항기, 면저항 인증표준물질 등을 사용하였다.

Study of Hybrid Optimization Technique for Grain Optimum Design

  • The propellant grain configuration is a design variable that determines the shape and performance of a solid rocket motor. Grain configuration variables have complicated effects on the motor performance; so the global optimization problem has to be solved in order to design the configuration variables. The grain performance has been analyzed by means of the grain burn-back and internal ballistic analysis, and the optimization technique searches for the configuration variables that satisfy the requirements. The deterministic and stochastic optimization techniques have been applied for the grain optimization, but the results are imperfect. In this study, the optimization design of the configuration variables has been performed using the hybrid optimization technique, which combines those two techniques. As a result, the hybrid optimization technique has proved to be efficient for the grain optimization design.
