P.C. 대형판 구조의 수평접합부 압축거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Compressive Behavior of Horizontal Joint in Precast Concrete Large Panel Structure)

  • Four types of horizontal joint were tested to investigate the difference with regards to the compressive behavior and strength. These include wedge-type joints (i)with and (ii)without transverse reinforcement against splitting failure of the panel concrete, and wedge-type joints (iii)with different widths of joint concrete (6cm vs 8cm) and (iv)closed platform joint. It was shown that the compressive strength of wedge-type joint is about 10% higher than that of closed-type (platform) joint. But the effect of transverse reinforcement and joint concrete widths on the strength of the joints turned out be negligible. Also, the moduli of elasticity in panel and joint are compared and the equivalent moduli of the whole wall are derived.

  • The purpose of this study is to applied reinforcement method at the joint part of the sandwich panel. Becasue the joint part of the sandwich panel has a disadvantage that flame spreads fast inside steel plates in the event of fire, leading to a big fire rapidly. In this study, the combustion performance was measured through KS F ISO 13784-1 "Reaction-to-fire tests for sandwich panel building systems" according to the application of reinforcement method to prevent flame from being brought into the internal joint of the sandwich panel. For the reinforcement inside the panel, the tape produced using expanded graphite-based heat-expandable glass fiber was attached. As a result, it was confirmed that the prevention of flame from being brought into the internal joint could delay the flash over time and the collapse of the test specimen.

  • Large Concrete Panel Structures behave quite differently from frame or monolithic shear wall structures because of the weakness of Joint in stiffness and strength. The joint experiences large deformation such as shear-slip in vertical and horizontal joint and rocking and crushing in horizontal joint because of localized stress concentration, but the wall panels behave elastically under cyclic loads. In order to describe the nonlinear behavior of the joint in the analysis of PC structures, different analysis technique from that of RC structures is needed. In this paper, for analysis of large concrete panel subassemblage subjected to cyclic loads, the wall panels are idealized by elastic finite elements, and the joints by nonlinear spring elements with various load-deflection relationship. The analytical results are compared with the experimental results on the strength, stiffness, energy dissipation and lateral drift, and the effectiveness of this computer analysis modelling technique is checked.

  • The compressive strength of horizontal joints in precast concrete large panel structures depends on parameters such as grout and panel strength, detail of joint, joint moment, width of grout column etc. As the panels are only connected at the pocket, it results in the reduction of compressive strength area. The purposes of this study are to develop the suitable grout material the joint pocket and to enable us to evaluate structural capacity. The validity of the design formulas provides us more economic system in construction. Test results of 15 specimens show that the proper construction procedure and grouting material develop the sufficient compressive strength of the wall as monolithic system.

Cyclic test for beam-to-column abnormal joints in steel moment-resisting frames

  • Six specimens are tested to investigate the cyclic behavior of beam-to-column abnormal joints in steel moment-resisting frames, which are designed according to the principle of strong-member and weak-panel zone. Key parameters include the axial compression ratio of column and the section depth ratio of beams. Experimental results indicate that four types of failure patterns occurred during the loading process. The $P-{\Delta}$ hysteretic loops are stable and plentiful, but have different changing tendency at the positive and negative direction in the later of loading process due to mechanical behaviors of specimens. The ultimate strength tends to increase with the decrease of the section depth ratio of beams, but it is not apparent relationship to the axial compression ratio of column, which is less than 0.5. The top panel zone has good deformation capacity and the shear rotation can reach to 0.04 rad. The top panel zone and the bottom panel zone don't work as a whole. Based on the experimental results, the equation for shear strength of the abnormal joint panel zone is established by considering the restriction of the bottom panel zone to the top panel zone, which is suitable for the abnormal joint of H-shaped or box column and beams with different depths.

  • The panel shear and bearing strengths determining the seismic resistance of reinforced concrete column-to-steel beam connections are predicted by various methods for four previously tested exterior beam-column joints. The analytical approach to model the joint deformation is also examined. Several analyses incorporating the deformations of panel shear and bearing in the joint are demonstrated using a analyses incorporating the deformations of panel shear and bearing in the joint are demonstrated using a fairly simple connection model in the commercial packages such as Drain2dx and IDARC. The strength prediction results indicated that the ASCE method with the modifcation of the comprssion strut contribution is th most accurate.   • Vehicle body frame stiffness affects the dynamic and static characteristics. Vehicle frame structure performance is greatly affected by crossmember and joint design. While the structural characteristic of these joint vary widely, there is no known tool currently in use that quickly predicts joint stiffness early in design cycle. This paper present the joint design factors affecting on low frequency vibration. The joint factors are joint panel thickness, flange width and weld point space. To study the effect on vehicle low frequency vibration, case studies for these factors are performed. The result can present design guide for high-stiffness vehicle.

  • 대형 콘크리트 판넬구조 수평접합부는 상부로부터 전달되는 축하중에 대하여 저항하게 되며 이때의 저항내력은 그라우트와 판넬의 강도, 접합부의 형태 및 단부 모멘트, 그라우트의 폭 등에 따라 변하게 된다. 본 연구는 패쇄형 수평접합부에 대한 실험연구로서 슬래브의 단부형태, 벽판넬의 단부보강 및 슬래브의 횡변위 구속에 따른 내력의 변화를 관찰하고자 하였다. 현재 대형 콘크리트 패널구조 수평접합부의 설계에 적용되고 있는 국내 규준식은 국내의 대형 콘크리트 패널구조와는 다소 다른 형태의 실험결과에 의해 유도된 식으로서 그 적용성에 대한 평가가 요망된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실험결과를 근거로 이에 대한 평가를 실시할 뿐만 아니라 폐쇄형 수평접합부의 내력을 평가할 수 있는 적합한 이론식을 제시 하였다. 실험결과, 상부 벽판넬의 단면이 결손(10mm)됨에 따라 약 23.5% 내력이 저감되는 것으로 나타났으며, 슬래브 단부형태의 따른 차이와 벽판넬의 단부보강에 따른 내력의 차이, 슬래브의 횡변위 구속 유무에 따른 내력의 차이는 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 제안되 이론식과 실험결과를 비교한 결과 이론식에 의한 결과가 실험결과와 좋은 대응을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.
