Relationship between job satisfaction of dental hygienists and patient safety cultural activities (치과위생사의 직무만족도와 환자안전문화 활동의 관련성)

  • Background: This study was conducted to determine the level of job satisfaction and patient safety cultural activities for dental hygienists and to determine the relationship between job satisfaction and patient safety cultural activities. Methods: A survey was conducted on 214 dental hygienists, and data from the final 180 were analyzed. Job satisfaction consisted of a total of 20 questions, and patient safety cultural activities included a total of 25 questions. The survey was conducted on a 5-point scale. Results: The average job satisfaction score of the study subjects was 3.44 points. Among patient safety cultural activities, infection control had the highest average score (4.12 points) and radiation safety management had the lowest average score (3.10 points). Patients with less than 3 years of clinical experience (4.01 points) had higher patient safety culture activity scores than those with 3 to 10 years of clinical experience (3.72 points) and those with more than 10 years of clinical experience (3.69 points). The level of patient safety cultural activities was statistically significantly higher as age, less clinical experience, and job satisfaction increased (p<0.05). Conclusion: In the case of dental hygienists, patient safety cultural activities must be carried out throughout the entire work, so an active will to practice patient safety cultural activities is necessary. In order to improve the performance of patient safety cultural activities, it is necessary to adjust the workload of dental hygienists to improve job satisfaction and create a work environment in which they can focus on patient safety cultural activities.

  • The study of security personnel and psychological empowerment and organizational commitment to investigate the relationship between prosocial behavior in 2011 in Seoul, served in the private security companies after being selected as a security guard purposive sampling method using a 300 extracted samples, but the number of cases used in the study a total of 282 people. This study SPSSWIN 18.0 using factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, path analysis, the following conclusions were obtained. First, psychological empowerment on organizational commitment affects. In other words, self-determination, job performance, impact, meaning a higher level of calculation ever higher levels of commitment and affective commitment. Second, the psychological empowerment influences prosocial behavior. In other words, self-determination, meaningfulness, influence job performance higher level of customer service and increases coordination Third, organizational commitment affects the prosocial behavior. In other words, the calculation ever commitment, emotional commitment, the higher the customer service, increases the level of coordination. Fourth, psychological empowerment and organizational commitment prosocial behavior direct and indirect impacts.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between organizational characteristics and information systems characteristics or job satisfaction, attempts to examine the regulatory effects brought about by the adjustment of social capital theory. So far, The results of this study are based on the analysis of individual models from the perspectives of each functional organization such as HR, organization, finance, operation, and MIS. Therefore, this paper attempted a comprehensive analysis of factors affecting job satisfaction and firm performance by presenting an integrated research model of organizational perspectives in addition to the approach of MIS perspective. The characteristics of information system were promptness, CEO support, and compensation. And the organizational characteristics were multiple regression analysis using innovation, trust, and preferential factors. The analysis data is based on sixth data from the HCCP of Korea Productivity Center. According to the analysis results, all the variables had a significant influence on satisfaction, especially CEO support and trust. The analysis of the moderating effect between innovation and job satisfaction was moderated by vision sharing. Only the logistic regression analysis of the satisfaction with the average salary of the members among the demographic variables was statistically significant. Therefore, this study can be concluded that the overall satisfaction level will be improved by recognizing appropriate compensation as sufficient compensation.

A Study on the Effectiveness of Private Security Administrator's Leadership Style on Organizational commitment as well as Job Satisfaction of Private Security (민간경비 관리자의 리더십 유형이 경비원의 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • This thesis analyzes the effectiveness of master's transformational and transactional leadership on organizational commitment as well as job satisfaction of private security, scrutinizes the difference in master's leadership according to social-demographic group. The sum of this thesis is as follows. To begin with, analyzed the difference of leadership style according to social-demographic characteristics of private security, it showed that monthly income is over 2.5 million won as well as people over 30 years old have higher transformational leadership than the others. That is, the older people's age is and the more someone gains his living, the higher he esteems and trusts his master who has charisma, personal concern and shows intellectual stimulus. And examined thoroughly the difference of organizational commitment as well as job satisfaction in accordance with social-demographic characteristics of private security, people who are 20-25 years old, are college graduates and employees who have worked for 2-3 years do well calculational commitment. It means that the younger he is and the lower academic background is, the higher calculational commitment is by the profit and loss which affects them. Secondly, inquired into consequence of leadership style on job satisfaction. Leadership of intellectual stimulus has negative effect on job satisfaction, whereas it has positive effect on conditional compensation. Exactly, if the master exhibits leadership that stimulate to improve an initiative, it reduces the job satisfaction. On the contrary, for the reason that his master indicates leadership that accompanies conditional compensation, job satisfaction tends to increase. Finally, judged from the effects of leadership style on organizational commitment, the charisma, the lower factor of transformational leadership affects to emotional commitment positively and then, it shows that employees tend to become attached to the organization and have a sense of oneness with it, if their master is able to show charismatic leadership. In conclusion, the private security companies pursue employees whose school career and payment is lower because of incidence in labor expense related with the profit and loss. Owing to it, employees are not satisfied with their job much. And also there is the change in increasing rate of job satisfaction according to business performance of the conditional compensation, i.e. a consideration, a promotion, etc., and the calculational commitment. Therefore, the university should try to focus on the researches for cultivate more professional manpower for business, the companies must try to make better deal, offer welfare for their employees to develop of the private security industry, to rise the job satisfaction of private security. And then, investigation to find private security's own level ought to be done by organic industry-academic cooperation of university and industries.

  • The purpose of this study is to prepare a plan for the improvement of the tasks of record managers in offices of education by understanding the details of their work; analyzing the importance, difficulty, and performance frequency of their tasks; and investigating their working environment and the problems of record management in offices of education. For this purpose, through a literature review and an analysis of related conditions, this study drew out 5 task domains and 24 detailed record management tasks in offices of education. To investigate the level of importance, difficulty, and performance frequency of the drawn-out task domains and task factors, this study conducted a questionnaire survey on record managers working in offices of education and analyzed the survey results using the IPA technique by crossing the level of importance, difficulty, and performance frequency. Based on the survey results, to improve the tasks of record managers in offices of education, and strengthen their task competency, a plan for improvement was suggested.

  • Safety aspect in the manufacturing facility or at the construction site is increasingly emphasized in Korea for last a decade. As a result, the number of industrial accident is decreased slowly by improving the reliability of equipments and human performance through organizational efforts. This paper proposes a mathematical model to estimate and predict the human reliability level corresponding to the worker's job experience. For this purpose, we used the statistics of industrial accidents issued by the Department of Labor in the years of 94-96. The methodology developed in this research will provide a basis for better cost estimation in planning labor policy in the early stage of a project. We believe that this effort would eventually lead to a basis for a new approach to the safety planning.

  • This study focused on the determining factors of foreign workers employment in Korean companies. To improve our national enterprise's work outcome, it is necessary to establish a rational employment management policy plan so that the Korea can promote influx of foreign workers who have appropriate job skills and are hard-working and well suited for cultural environment. Accordingly, the companies need to develop the program by considering following. First, the duty of skilled foreign workers for employment is an important determinant factor and thus the targeting for foreign workers is necessary to proceed with pre-paced training. Second, reflecting the cultural characteristics of migrant workers, a cultural adjustment program needs to be developed. In this regard, the national program of screening foreign workers at the government level and the adaptation program needs to be launched suitable for local environment.

  • The primary purpose of this study was to analyze the types of home managers in association with effects of resourcefulness, communication and the conditions for effective home management' proposed by Shape and Winter(1991). A survey was conducted by subjects of 300 wives in Kwangju city. The statistical data were obtained by cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's test and chi-square test. Manager types based on the four conditions, resourcefulness and communication were classified into four clusters. Educational background, job status, family types, family life cycle and age difference between the oldest and the youngest child of the subjects were different from manager types. In conclusion, this study identified the four conditions of performance-condition dichotomy, timing, high level and middle range, resourcefulness, and communications in order to develop managerial capability.   • This study deals with the overall meta-cognitive aspects of ATC-Pilot miscommunications pertinent to cognitive human errors based on the previous literature research which it has been focused on the issue of the global aviation English use in regard with aircraft accident and incident. Especially, it addresses the concern over the ICAO aviation English language proficiency evaluation program which will be implemented globally in March, 2008. In addition, It presents the analysis related to the on-going English language proficiency level four test conducted for Korean civil airlines pilots and air traffic controllers.

  • This study aims to investigate the presence/absence of subjects in the area of finance insurance sector in the past and corresponding areas of the courses in accordance with the reform of Korean school mathematics curriculum. In addition, the study had analyzed the linkage to the curriculum of the subjects for the Junior High, and High School in accordance with the school mathematics as mathematical knowledge base. As the results of this study, it was identified that the knowledge of mathematical contents addressed in the school mathematics education had a very high connectivity as basic mathematical knowledge to understand and utilize high level of the insurance mathematics required for the job performance in the finance insurance sector.
