Objective: This study aimed to assess the effects of commonly consumed hot drinks on the force decay of orthodontic elastomeric chains. Methods: This in vitro experimental study evaluated 375 pieces of elastomeric chains with six rings placed on a jig. Four rings were stretched by 23.5 mm corresponding to the approximate distance between the canine and the second premolar. Fifteen pieces served as reference samples at time zero, and 360 pieces were randomized into four groups: control, hot water, hot tea, and hot coffee. Each group was further divided into six subgroups (n = 15) according to the different exposure periods. The specimens in the experimental groups were exposed to the respective solutions at 65.5℃ four times per day for 90 seconds at 5-second intervals. The control group was exposed to artificial saliva at 37℃. The force decay of the samples was measured at 1, 2, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days using a universal testing machine. Data were analyzed using repeated-measures analysis of variance. Results: Maximum force decay occurred on day 1 in all groups. The minimum force was recorded in the control group, followed by the tea, coffee, and hot water groups on day 1. At the other time points, the minimum force was observed in the tea group, followed by the control, coffee, and hot water groups. Conclusions: Patients can consume hot drinks without concern about any adverse effect on force decay of the orthodontic elastomeric chains.

Purpose: Manufacturing with AM (Additive manufacturing) technique has many advantages; but, due to insufficient study in the area, it is not being widely used in the general clinic. In this study, differences of flexural strength among various materials of 3 unit fixed dental prosthesis were analyzed. Materials and Methods: A metal jig for specimens that had a 3-unit-fixed dental prosthesis figure were fabricated. The jigs were made appropriately to the specifications of the specimens. Three different kinds of materials of specimens which were NC (mathacrylic esther based), DP-1 (Bisphenol A epoxy acrylate type oligomer based), and DT-1 (urethane acrylate based) were printed with DLP machine. Five specimens for each kind of material were printed with an angle of $30^{\circ}$ from the horizontal surface. The specimens were placed on the jig and the flexural strength was measured and recorded using Universal testing machine. The recorded data was analyzed in SPSS using One-way ANOVA and Tukey HSD to determine the significance of the differences of flexural strength among the groups. Results: The flexural strengths of each group were the followings: NC, $1119{\pm}305$ N; DP-1, $619{\pm}150$ N; DT-1, $413{\pm}65N$. Using One-way ANOVA and Tukey Honestly Significant Difference test, significant difference was found between NC and the other groups (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference between DP-1 and DT-1 (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Higher flexural strength was shown in 3-unit-fixed dental prosthesis that were 3D printed using a DLP machine with NC material.

After 5 days at cementation of post, teeth with cemented posts were mounted on a retention jig and the failure loads of the specimens were measured by an Instron Universal Testing Machine. The results were as follows. 1. The results of failure loads were $15.5{\pm}7.1kg$ in group I b, $21.6{\pm}5.4kg$ in group II b and $20.1{\pm}18.1kg$ in group III b, and there was no statistically significant , difference between each group(p>0.05). 2. The results of failure loads were $19.0{\pm}6.7kg$ in group IV b, $17.3{\pm}6.5kg$ in group V b.and $18.9{\pm}7.9kg$ in group VI b and there was no significant difference between each other(p>0.05). 3. In same condition, the failure load of subgroup a was largely higher the subgroup b. But there was no significant difference between each other(p>0.05).

In this paper, a design and fabrication of a miniaturized 2.5 GHz 8 W power amplifier using selectively anodized aluminum oxide(SAAO) substrate are presented. The process of SAAO substrate is recently proposed and patented by Wavenics Inc. which uses aluminum as wafer. The selected active device is a commercially available GaN HEMT chip of TriQuint company, which is recently released. The optimum impedances for power amplifier design were extracted using the custom tuning jig composed of tunable passive components. The class-F power amplifier are designed based on EM co-simulation of impedance matching circuit. The matching circuit is realized in SAAO substrate. For integration and matching in the small package module, spiral inductors and single layer capacitors are used. The fabricated power amplifier with $4.4{\times}4.4\;mm^2$ shows the efficiency above 40 % and harmonic suppression above 30 dBc for the second(2nd) and the third(3rd) harmonic at the output power of 8 W.
This study was carried out to enlighten on the factors by which newspaper headlines are determined and to empirically explore how news influence variables, editor's role orientation and professionalism have impact on deciding headlines. It turned out from the survey of 345 journalists working in the editorial departments of 17 major national daily and economic newspapers that 7 determinant factors have impact on editors deciding headlines: creativity, standardized expression, fairness, consideration for a readers, reflection of company policy, summarization and intriguer. In addition, the determinant factors of headlines were analyzed to have correlation with news influence variables such as the government-sponsors, readers and colleagues, and company policy and the management. In the awareness of role, also, it was shown that the editors who considered social integration as important place weighted on the reflection of company policy, fairness and creativity; those editors who placed power monitoring on priority took fairness and creativity seriously; and the editors who believed that delivering information was important thought of fairness, consideration for a readers and summarization as important. In addition, the organization-oriented editors turned out compliant to a system, positive on the governmental policies and sought for social stability; those editors who put a premium on a sense of objective balance and neutrality showed a strong aspect of a professional in social reform, check against government and the social governance by the privileged.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences in bond strength of four different indirect composites to the gold alloy and Ni-Cr alloy according to type of metal surface treatment after water storage. Materials and methods: Type IV gold alloy and Ni-Cr alloy were used for casting alloy while four types of indirect composite resins (Gradia, Tescera Sinfony and in;joy) were used in this study. Metal specimens were produced by casting and total of 240 specimens (60 specimens per one indirect composite group) were prepared. After bonding indirect composite resin and undergoing 24 hours of polymerization, customized jig was attached to the metal specimen and shear bond strength were measured using universal testing machine. Also, differences in shear bond strength before and after water storage for 240 hours were also measured. Results: In the measurement of shear bond strength according to the metal surface treatments, bead group showed high strength followed by loop and flatting group (P<.05). After being stored in water bath for 240 hours, Gradia showed statistically significant high bond strength compared to other indirect composite resins in all groups (P<.05). Conclusion: Shearbond strength was found to be different according to type of metal surface treatment and type of metal used after storage in water. Further studies need to be developed for clinical practices as three are still problems of microleakage, stain or wear.

Seedling yield of panax ginseng depended on soil water in a modified Yang-jig seedbed with rice hull mulch and peat application which increased soil water content. Water dependency tended to increase with the increase of potassium in soil. Effect of potassium on water dependency seemed to be constant in certain range of soil water which might be the optimum water for seedling growth. Partial correlation coefficient between seedling yield and water was significant in relation to organic matter (OM), Mg and Ca. The best multiple regression of seedling yield was with $H_2O$, K and Ca. Available phosphorus (P) in soil increased with low level of peat but decreased with high level or with mulching. There was interaction between mulching and peat for P. There was significant linear relation between two of pH, $H_2O$, Ca, Mg, K, OM except between K and $H_2O$ or pH. Ammonium nitrogen negatively correlated with Mg Quadratic relation held between $NO_3-N$ and K or $NH_4-N$ and between P and K+Ca+Mg. Quadratic relation was more significant than linearity between soil factors. Mulching increased stem length. Leaf area index ranged from 1.06 to 1.67. Leaf area per plant ranged $16.0-18.8cm^2$.
Orthodontic traction has been suggested as the treatment of choice for intrusive luxation injuries. Prior research has shown orthodontic forces to be ineffective in the presence of ankylosis or in cases with zero mobility following the injury. If orthodontic traction is to be effective, it must be initiated prior to the onset of ankylosis. The purpose of this study was to describe the effects of intrusive luxation at various times following the injury, and to determine the time of the onset of ankylosis, and to examine what effect immediate partial luxation has on the onset of ankylosis. Eight young mongrel dogs were utilized for this study. Intrusive luxation was produced with an axial impact using a gravity hammer and a specially designed holding device on 4 teeth (2 max. and 2 man. first premolars) in each dog. The teeth were intruded approximately 3-4mm in an axial direction. One maxillary and one mandibular premolars were partially luxated with the other two teeth being untouched. Pre and posttrauma tooth position was documented with plaster models and radiographs taken with an individualized X-ray jig. Dogs were sacrificed immediately following the injury and at 1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 14 and 21 days respectively. Tetracycline was administered as a vital bone marker 24 hours before sacrifice. Block sections of the tooth and alveolus were prepared for decalcified and non decalcified histologic sections. The effects of traumatic intrusion were analyzed by means of model casts, radiographs, tetracycline bone marking and histologic preparations. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The animal sacrificed immediately following the injury displayed alveolar fractures, torn periodontal ligaments, and areas of direct tooth-bone contact. 2. The odontoblastic layer of the pulp was disorganized as early as 24 hours after the injury. 3. Bony remodeling was noted at 4 days along with active surface resorption. 4. Ankylosis was first seen 7 days after the injury. 5. Osteogenesis in the dentin (thick tetracycline bands) was observed 7 days after the injury. 6. There was no progressive root resorption and ankylosis where the periodontal ligament has been healed. 7. The Luxated group showed significantly more root resolution and ankylosis than the Nonluxated group with increased observation periods. The results suggest that ankylosis may occur within the first week following the injury, and hence orthodontic traction should be initiated as soon after the injury as possible.
To evaluate the effect of vital tooth bleaching agent and alcohol pretreatment on dentin bonding, flat dentin windows were produced on the buccal side of the crowns of fifty-five extracted, human premolars. A bleaching gel, $Opalescence^{(R)}$ with 10% of carbamide peroxide (Ultradent Product, USA) was daily applied on the teeth of three experimental groups for six hours for 10 consecutive days, while teeth of a control group were not bleached. After 6 hours of bleaching gel application the specimens were washed and stored in saline until the next day application. After application of $One-step^{(R)}$ dentin bonding agent (Bisco, USA), $Z-250^{(R)}$ resin (3M-ESPE, USA) was bonded to dentin with a mount jig. Shear bond strength was measured with an Instron machine (Type 4202, Instron Corp., USA) after 24 hours. The results were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test at p < 0.05. Immediate bonding group showed significantly lower bond strength than un-bleached control group (p < 0.05). Ethanol-treated group showed significantly higher bond strength compared to immediate bonding group (p < 0.05). However, the bond strength of the ethanol treatment group was lower than that of the un-bleached control group (p < 0.05). There were no significant difference in shear bond strength between the 2-week delayed bonding group and the ethanol-treated group (p > 0.05) and between delayed bonding group and un-bleached control group (p > 0.05). In the condition of the present study. it seems that alcohol pretreatment after bleaching procedure can reduce the adverse effect of vital bleaching agent on dentin bonding.

Geametical formation with obvious sym-metric dividing of front-back left-right and top-bottom is well shown in Korean clothes by twisting Yuk(易) or m bius strips. So we can find out whole formation by representing only either 'front and back' or 'left and right' and also sa-pok(사폭) of man's trousers seop(섶) of jeo-go-ri(short jacket 저고리) kyut-ma-gi(곁마기) of Sam-hwai-jang jeo-go-ri (삼회장 저고리), mu(무) of jig-ryung(straight collar and long and wide sleeved robe, 直領) trouser wide and ga-rae-ba-dae(가래바대) of dan-cok-kok(woman's under trousers).
