The aim of the study is to develop a jean jacket and pants of easy-to-move for schoolgirls of 11 years old. The research was carried out as follows; 1. Using a manufacturer's pattern, a jean jacket and pants were made. 2. Based on the survey of 108 schoolgirls, interviews with 4 designers of children's wear, and wearing test, three trial garments were developed. -Certain areas such as knee, elbow, and hip should be altered to have better extensibility. -The weight of the garment would be better to be reduced. 3. Three trial garments were developed using following techniques, which were found in fashion magazines for kids very often. -Alter the location and the shape of the seam line so that the areas mentioned above can adjust the movement of the body better. -Match stretchable material at the areas which require better extensibility. -Use various trimmings to make the garment more size adaptable and easy-to-move. 4. These garments were tested by 26 schoolgirls, and they answered the questionnaires focused on the design preference and easy-to-move. 5. From the results of the wearing test of three trial garments, more effective techniques were selected. Using these techniques, prototype garment was developed. The prototype garment was approved by the wearing test of 26 schoolgirls.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the propriety of the ready-to-made garment sizes of the boys aged between 10 and 11. The data were collected from 315 boys in the capital area. They were surveyed during the period of April, 2004. Data analysis has been performed through descriptive statistics, $x^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan test using SPSS ver.10. The results of the analysis are as follows. According to the result of investigating the favorite fashion style of boys, most boys aged between 10 and 11 preferred casual style(jean pants & T-shirts). Boys of age 10 preferred formal style and 11-year-old boys tend to prefer hip-hop style. When boys buy garments, boys aged between 10 and 11 were influenced by their mother or family. The store in which 10-year-old boys purchased their garments was either a children's or a sports wear store, and boys of 11 age prefer young casual wear store. The highest factors of dissatisfaction on buying garments were price and size. According to the result of evaluating fitting problems, the highest degree of dissatisfaction upon proper fitness upper-arm circumference, waist circumference and pants length.

Several applications of body scanning technology have been commercialized or are currently under development. The virtual fit from 3D scans is most advanced form of virtual try-on. This article is an analysis of the comparison of user preferences for domestic versus foreign 3D virtual try-on systems. For this study, domestic i-Fashion Mall (www.ifashionmall.co.kr) and a Canadian company, My Virtual Model (www.mvm.com) were selected as the most representative online retailers that offer a virtual try-on system. The respondents were comprised of 70 Korean female college students in the age group 20-29. A five point Likert scale was used to evaluate the degree of the preference of virtual avatar and try-on images. T-test, cross table, and a chi-square independence test were conducted for data analysis. The results are as follow. 1. The representation about current looks according to each virtual fit image indicates that MVM is more accurate than i-Fashion Mall. 2. About decision confidence, respondents have decision confidence in i-Fashion Mall in the case of the avatar image; however, respondents have confidence in MVM or the fit image. 3. There were no significant differences in among waist size groups in accuracy, trust of each avatar image, while there were significant differences among waist size groups in the accuracy and trust of each virtual fit image. 4. About ease of use, respondents answered that i-Fashion Mall is superior to MVM. 5. The respondents prioritized the ‘fitting report’ of i-Fashion Mall and ‘Weight loss’ of MVM over other functionalities.

This study classified lower body shape according to thigh and waist shape to improve the fit of skinny blue jeans in adult women in their 20s. We analyzed the three-dimensional automatic measurement data, three-dimensional indirect measurement data, and index data using the three-dimensional female (20-29 years old) body scan data provided by Size Korea (6^th Korean Human Dimensional Survey Project). Factor analysis was performed to classify body type. We selected and analyzed 34 items related to thigh shape based on index items, angle items, and protrusion amount items from 99 items; consequently, seven factors were extracted and 82.39% of the total variance was explained. Cluster analysis according to factor analysis classified it into 4 types, and a post-test Duncan test was conducted to classify thigh features according to classified types. As a result, the characteristics of lower body shape according to the thigh types of women in their 20s are as follows. Lower Body Type 1 is shape with a more prominent belly and less prominent thighs. Lower Body Type 2 is a slender body figure with larger hips. Lower Body Type 3 has more prominent thighs compared to the waist and belly. Lower Body Type 4 has both a prominent belly and prominent thighs.
