복원순서 재구성에 의한 개선된 고속 프랙탈 영상복원 (An Improved Fast Fractal Image Decoding by recomposition of the Decoding Order)

  • 기존의 프랙탈 복원방법은 모든 치역영역에 대해 반복축소변환을 수행하였다 그러나 일부영역은 반복축소변환 없이 복원 가능하고, 데이타 의존영역이 존재한다 $R{\times}R$ 치역을 복원하기 위해서 $2R{\times}2R$ 정의역이 필요하다 이러한 복원과정은 의존그래프로 해석이 가능하다 치역은 정점에 해당하고, 정점은 치역정점과 정의역 정점으로 구분한다 에지는 정의역 정점이 다른 치역정점에 참조됨을 나타낸다 치역정점으로 들어오는 에지 수를 입력수, 치역정점에서 나가는 에지 수를 출력수로 정의한다 제한한 방법은 프랙탈 코드를 의존그래프로 해석하고 복원되는 정정의 순서를 재구성하여 출력수의 정보를 이용한다 즉 정점의 출력수가 영이면, 그 정점은 다론 정점에게 참조되지 않는 정점으로서 데이타 의존영역이 되는 정점이다 이와 같이 복원 되는 정점의 순서를 재구성함으로서, 데이타 의존영역을 확장하여 반복축소변환이 필요한 영역을 최소화한다 그 결과 화질에는 거의 영향을 미치지 않고, 복원과정에서의 불필요한 계산량을 제거하여 고속 복원이 가능하다.

  • This paper presents a method for the robot localization and calibration using the ultrasonic and the radio frequency. The distance between the receiver and a beacon can be computed by using the difference between times of flight. The presented method uses the gradient of the maximum amplitude of the ultrasonic in order to measure the time of flight precisely. The measured three distances between the receiver and the beacon are used to compute the robot position by the direct inverse method and the iterated least square approximation method. This paper is defined the calibration as the problem to find the location of 3 beacons and 3 robots, and presents 3 methods for it and found the 2B2R method as the best among them.

선체주위 난류유동장의 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Turbulent Flow Fields around Ships)

  • Three dimensional turbulent flow fields around ships are simulated by a numerical method. Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations are used where Reynolds stresses are approximated by Baldwin-Lomax and Sub-Grid Scale(SGS) turbulence models. Body-fitted coordinate system is introduced to conform three dimensional ship geometries. The governing equations are discretized by a finite volume method. Temporal derivatives are approximated by the forward differencing and the convection terms are approximated by the QUICK or Kawamura scheme. The 2nd-order centered differencing is used for other spatial derivatives. Pressure and velocity fields are simultaneously iterated by the Highly Simplified Marker-And-Cell method. To verify the numerical method and turbulence models, flow fields around ships are simulated and compared to the experiments.

  • This paper presents on research findings of how Visual C++ program can be used to generate codes capable of performing ramjet engine simulation To understand the diversity and applicability of this tool an arbitrary ramjet model will be considered for which generated output values will be compared with those from a commercial program GASTURB 9 iterated under the same input parameters. Several governing thermodynamic equations will first be discussed in order that we understand the fundamental idea behind values printed out on the GUI. C++ compiler was chosen as a tool of use due to its availability, ease of use, ability to compute functions faster and uniquely possible to make a stand alone GUI executable in DOS mode. The program is developed in such a way that given the ambient flight conditions, burner exit temperature and several geometry areas the program generates its own input values used in the succeeding stations. A close resemblance of output values that define performance and thermodynamic state of the engine was realized between GASTURB 9 and using this code made from C++ compiler.

  • 비행 마하수 6으로 운용되며, 지상 정지 추력으로부터 사용이 가능하도록 2단 추진체 개념이 적용된 스크램제트 엔진 비행체에 대한 개념설계를 수행하였다. 1단은 고체로켓을 적용하였으며, 2단은 탄화수소 계열의 연료를 사용하는 스크램제트 엔진을 적용하였다. 개념설계를 위하여 2,000 km의 운용거리와 0.2 톤의 탑재체 무게를 가정하였다. 개념설계의 첫 번째 단계로 3-DOF 코드를 이용하여 비행궤도를 계산하였으며, 계산된 비행궤도를 바탕으로 일차원-비평형 유동 코드와 NASA의 HASA 데이터베이스를 이용하여 스크램제트 엔진에 대한 개념설계를 수행하였다.

FPGA를 이용한 실시간 영상 워핑 구현 (An Implementation of Real-time Image Warping Using FPGA)

  • As a kind of 2D spatial coordinate transform, image warping is a basic image processing technique utilized in various applications. Though image warping algorithm is composed of relatively simple operations such as memory accesses and computations of weighted average, real-time implementations on embedded vision systems suffer from limited computational power because the simple operations are iterated as many times as the number of pixels. This paper presents a real-time implementation of a look-up table(LUT)-based image warping using an FPGA. In order to ensure sufficient data transfer rate from memories storing mapping LUT and image data, appropriate memory devices are selected by analyzing memory access patterns in an LUT-based image warping using backward mapping. In addition, hardware structure of a parallel and pipelined architecture is proposed for fast computation of bilinear interpolation using fixed-point operations. Accuracy of the implemented hardware is verified using a synthesized test image, and an application to real-time lens distortion correction is exemplified.

Investigation of the accuracy of different finite element model reduction techniques

  • In this paper, various model reduction methods were assessed using a shear frame, plane and space truss structures. Each of the structures is one-dimensional, two-dimensional and three-dimensional, respectively. Three scenarios of poor, better, and the best were considered for each of the structures in which 25%, 40%, and 60% of the total degrees of freedom (DOFs) were measured in each of them, respectively. Natural frequencies of the full and reduced order structures were compared in each of the numerical examples to assess the performance of model reduction methods. Generally, it was found that system equivalent reduction expansion process (SEREP) provides full accuracy in the model reduction in all of the numerical examples and scenarios. Iterated improved reduced system (IIRS) was the second-best, providing acceptable results and lower error in higher modes in comparison to the improved reduced system (IRS) method. Although the Guyan's method has very low levels of accuracy. Structures were classified with the excitation frequency. High-frequency structures compared to low-frequency structures have been poor performance in the model reduction methods (Guyan, IRS, and IIRS).

유정압테이블의 정밀도향상을 위한 수정가공 알고리즘 (Corrective Machining Algorithm for Improving the Motion Accuracy of Hydrostatic Table)

  • For improving the motion accuracy of hydrostatic table, corrective machining algorithm is proposed in this paper. The algorithm consists of three main processes. reverse analysis is performed firstly to estimate rail profile from measured linear and angular motion error, in the algorithm. For the next step, corrective machining information is decided as referring to the estimating rail profile. Finally, motion errors on correctively machined rail are analized by using motion error analysis method proposed in the previous paper. These processes can be iterated until the analized motion errors are satisfied with target accuracy. In order to verify the validity of the algorithm theoretically, motion errors by the estimated rail, after corrective machining, are compared with motion errors by true rail assumed as the measured value. Estimated motion errors show good agreement with assumed values, and it is confirmed that the algorithm is effective to acquire the corrective machining information to improve the accuracy of hydrostatic table.
