Due to their low density, high specific strength and electromagnetic interference shielding, magnesium alloy sheets are used increasingly more often in automotive, aerospace, and electronics industries. However, magnesium ally sheets should be usually formed at elevated temperature because of their poor formability at room temperature. For the use of magnesium alloy sheets for an industrial, their mechanical properties at elevated temperature and appropriate forming process conditions have to be developed. In this study, the warm deep drawing process of AZ31 sheets is studied numerically by non-isothermal simulation. The difference between the isothermal simulation results and the non-isothermal simulation results and the progress of warm forming are discussed.

In this study, a measurement method of leakage flow-rate for pneumatic driving apparatus is proposed. The existing measurement methods of leakage flow-rate of air need disassemble the test component. Therefore, there is no effective method to measure the leakage flow-rate while operating pneumatic driving apparatus. In this study, the leakage flow-rate is measure from the pressure change in an isothermal chamber that can realize isothermal conditions by stuffing steel wool into it. Therefore, wide range of flow-rate could be measured only from the pressure response and the leakage flow-rate can be measured during operating pneumatic driving apparatus. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by experimental results.

Thermal property is one of the important characteristic in the field of energetic materials. As the energy material is released during decomposition, DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimetry) is frequently used for the thermal analysis. In case of the dynamic DSC measurements, thermal dynamic change like melting is prevented from the thermal property measurements. And due to the predicting kg scale, the conditions of the heat exchange with the environment significantly is changed. In this study, As the method to resolve the problem, we predict the thermal aging property using the AKTS thermokinetic program from DSC measurements which performed isothermal method. Predicting the thermal aging properties from ARC(Accelerating Rate Calorimetry) measurement, we compare two results.
The mechanical properties of STD11 Joints by using TLP (Transient Liquid Phase Diffusion) bonding method employing MBF-30 and MBF-80 insert metals were investigated with concerning to the microstructural change. TLP bonding of STD 11 was carried out at 1323∼1423K for 0.6ks∼3.6ks in vacuum. The microstructure and the element distribution of the interlayer between tool steels and insert metals showed specific feature with bonding conditions. It was found that the width of the interlayer increased at initial bonding stage. However, the width of interlayer showed nearly constant value during the isothermal solidification. After isothermal solidification was completed, the joint showed homogeneous element distribution and similar microstructure with base metal because of the grain boundary migration to the bonded interlayer. The bonding strength measured by a tensile test has been varied with the bonding conditions. The maximum joint strength, 760MPa, was obtained with the condition of 1423K for 1.2ks using MBF30 insert metal in this experiment.
The thermal and dielectric properties of unsaturated polyester resin system during cure were analyzed under Isothermal conditions. Both $varepsilon$′ and $varepsilon$" decreased and dipole relaxation was observed under isothermal conditions during cure. The ionic conductivity decreased linearly with the conversion according to the Kienle-Rate equation (ln($varepsilon$"$_{ionic}$we$_{0}$)=C$_{r}$$alpha$+C$_{0}$) up to $alpha$=0.15, after which it aparted from the relationship due to the entanglement of polymer chains. The effect of ionic conductivity was revealed to be larger than that of dipole motion during the whole cure through the electrical modulus analysis. Although dielectric motion was analyzed with Debye model, it was observed only at a narrow time region of middle stage of cure. In order to estimate the dielectric properties during the whole cure, the Havriliak-Negami model was considered and modified with the strong effect of ionic conductivity. The changes of $varepsilon$′ and $varepsilon$" were well estimated with this modified Havriliak-Negami model.
Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), a PCR-based diagnostic method, is based on autocycling strand displacement DNA synthesis in the presence of exonuclease-negative Bst DNA polymerase under isothermal conditions. With the help of four specific primers that recognize six different sequences of a target DNA, LAMP has high specificity in pathogenic identification in a short time. Hence, in the present study, LAMP is used as a diagnostic tool in the identification of the most dreadful aquatic pathogenic species, Vibrio alginolyticus, and to develop species-specific LAMP primers and optimization of LAMP reaction conditions such as annealing temperature, elongation time, and other PCR chemical concentrations, including MgSO4, dNTPs, Betaine, and Bst polymerase. The optimized LAMP primers were also checked for specificity with other Vibrio species, which showed that the designed primers were very specific to V. alginolyticus After the first introduction of a species name like this one, the first part (“Vibrio” in this case) should be abbreviated to only the first letter.only. These are usually the most harmful pathogens of the Vibrio species that appear in shrimp and crabs. The results also revealed that the LAMP assay could be 10-fold more sensitive than conventional PCR in detecting V. alginolyticus. This could be the first report on using a rapid and highly sensitive technique, the LAMP assay, in the effective diagnosis of the pathogenic bacteria V. alginolyticus, which could help in the early detection of diseases, particularly in aquaculture.

Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum is the causative agent of soft rot in crops such as potato and cabbages. Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a simple DNA amplification method, as well as isothermal PCR technique. In this study, a new method for the rapid detection of Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum was developed using LAMP that named PCC-LAMP. Based on lytic murein transglycolase gene of Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum, a set of four primers for LAMP was designed. The optimal PCC-LAMP reaction temperature was established at $61^{\circ}C$. Under standard conditions, PCC-LAMP amplified $1{\times}10^3$ copies of clone PCC-pBX437 per reaction. Further, this method can also assay directly by SYBR Green I without electrophoresis. Amplification was not detected for five other bacterial species. In conclusion, PCC-LAMP may be a useful method for the detection Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum in the field.

The ultrasonic characteristics of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel were investigated in relation to the isothermal heat treatment temperature and time. Charpy impact tests and hardness tests were conducted on individual specimens with three different heat treatment conditions. A pulse-echo method with longitudinal waves was used to measure the attenuation and velocity of ultrasonic waves. The FATT (fracture appearance transition temperature) increased with an increase in the isothermal heat treatment time, which implies that the toughness decreased. As the isothermal heat treatment time and temperature increased, the longitudinal wave velocity and ultrasonic attenuation coefficient were raised.
This article involves a unified treatment of equilibrium thermodynamics of the chemical reaction coupled with other interfacial (phase boundary) reactions. The modified (restrictive) chemical potential ${\mu}_k^+$, such as electrochemical potential, hydrostatic-chemical (mechanochemical) potential (exceptionally in the presence of the pressure difference) and surface-chemical potential, was first introduced under the isothermal and isobaric conditions. This article then enlightened the equilibrium conditions in case where the release of chemical energy is counterbalanced by the supply of electrical energy, by the supply of hydrostatic work (exceptionally in the presence of ${\Delta}p$), and finally by the release of surface energy, respectively, at constant temperature T and pressure p in terms of the modified chemical potential ${\mu}_k^+$. Finally, this paper focussed on the difference between chemical and electrochemical equilibria based upon the fundamentals of the isothermal and isobaric equilibrium conditions described above.

Many investigations have been made to determine the pressure drop and heat transfer characteristics for single phase flow in tape generated swirl flow. But few studies have been carried out to investigate the heat transfer in two component, two phase swirl flow with non-boiling. An experimental study has been conducted to determine the effects of tape twist ratios on two phase convective heat transfer coefficients, pressure drop, and void fraction distribution in a non-boiling, air-water, two phase flow. The flow conditions were both swirl and non swirl flows. The internal diameter of the test section is 42.5mm. The tape twist ratios of pitch to diameter ratio varied from 4.0 to 10.6. The heating conditions were isothermal and nonisothermal. The flow patterns identified with experiments were bubbly, bubbly-slug, slug, and slug-annular flow in up-flow. This study has concluded that no significant difference in void fraction distribution were observed both isothermal and nonisothermal conditions, the pressure drop for two phase flow with twisted tape swirler increase as the tape twist ratio decrease, and that values of two phase heat transfer coefficient increase when the tape twist ratio decreases.
