  • The use of regenerative energy in AC drive systems has been an issue since the system became an industry standard in the 1990s. According to the quantity of the regenerative energy, the braking resistor in the case of low capacity was common. However the use of such low amount of energy is actively discussed, and the method of mounting the regenerative converter is becoming popular. In this paper, an isolated regenerative converter for reducing the circulating current which is mentioned as the biggest disadvantage of the conventional power regenerative converter system is proposed. In order to save energy, employing a power regenerative converter system for utilizing regenerative energy in an AC drive system is common. However due to the structure of the system, a circulating current is generated, which inevitably causes a decrease in efficiency. In this paper, an isolated regenerative power converter system is proposed to solve the circulating current and computer simulation to verify the possibility. The simulation results show that 20% of the circulating current of the conventional system does not appear in the proposed system, and the validity of the proposed system is confirmed.

  • In this paper, the proposed full-bridge high frequency isolated zoo voltage and zero current switching phase shifted pulse width modulation(ZVZCS PS-PWM)DC-DC converter among fuel cell generation system consist of 1.2[kW] fuel cell of Nexa Power Module, full-bridge DC-DC converter to boost the fuel cell low voltage($28{\sim}43[%]$) to 380[VDC] and a single phase full-bridge inverter is implemented to produce AC output(220[VAC], 60[Hz]). A tapped inductor filter with freewheeling diode is newly implemented in the output filter of the proposed full-bridge high frequency isolated ZVZCS PS-PWM DC-DC converter to suppress circulating current under the wide output voltage regulation range, thus to eliminate the switching and transformer turn-on/off over-short voltage or transient phenomena. Besides the efficiency of $93{\sim}97[%]$ is obtained over the wide output voltage regulation ranges and load variations.

  • In this paper, a dc-dc power converter scheme with the FPGA based technology is proposed to apply for solar power system which has many features such as the good waveform, high efficiency, low switching losses, and low acoustic noises. The circuit configuration is designed by the conventional control type converter circuit using the isolated dc power supply. This new scheme can be more widely used for industrial power conversion system and many other purposes. Also, I proposed an efficient photovoltaic power interface circuit incorporated with a FPGA based DC-DC converter and a sine-pwm control method full-bridge inverter. The FPGA based DC-DC converter operates at high switching frequency to make the output current a sine wave, whereas the full-bridge inverter operates at low switching frequency which is determined by the ac frequency. As a result, we can get a 1.72% low THD in present state using linear control method. Moreover, we can use stepping control method, we can obtain the switching losses by Sp measured as 0.53W. This paper presents the design of a single-phase photovoltaic inverter model and the simulation of its performance.

  • This paper deals with the rapid charger which is the mid-type between the slow and fast chargers in the aspect of charging time. In its functions, it can perform the Active Power Filter(APF) function without changing the topology besides the charging function. In addition, to perform the charging and APF function, this paper proposes the mode selection algorithm. The operation of the charger that has APF function and the mode selection algorithm are verified by the simulation and experiment.
