자외선 광여기 전자현미경을 이용한 Si 표면 위에 Ge 나노구조의 성장 동역학에 관한 실시간 연구 (Real-time Observation of Evolution Dynamics of Ge Nanostructures on Si Surfaces by Photoelectron Emission Microscopy)

  • 자외선 광여기 전자현미경 (Ultraviolet - Photoelectron Emission Microscopy: UV-PEEM)을 이용하여 Si (001)과 (113) 표면에 Ge을 증착하면서 실시간으로 나노구조의 형성과 크기 및 형태 변화과정을 조사하였다. Ge은 PBEM에 부착된 e-beam 증착기를 이용하여 $450-550^{\circ}C$ 온도에서 in situ로 증착하면서 표면의 변화를 PEEM으로 관찰하였다. Ge을 ${\sim}0.4\;ML/min$의 증착율로 ${\sim}4\;ML$ 이상 두께로 증착했을 때, 두 Si 표면에서 Ge의 균일한 변형층(strained layer) 위에 island 구조가 형성되었다. 초기에 형성된 원형 모양의 island는 연속적인 Ge 증착에 따라, ripening 과정에 의해 크기가 점차 성장되었고 밀도는 감소하였으나, 형태는 원형 모양을 유지하였다. 시료 성장 후 공기 중 AFM 측정 결과, Si(001) 표면에는 dome 형태의 Ge island가 Si(113) 표면에는 윗면이 평판하고 다면의 옆면을 지닌 island 구조가 형성됨이 확인되었다. 반면에 ${\sim}0.15\;ML/min$의 낮은 증착율로 Ge을 증착했을 때, Si(113) 표면에서 원형의 Ge island가 길죽한(elongated) 형태의 나노선 구조로 변형됨이 관찰되었다. 또한, 계속적인 Ge 증착 두께를 증가시킴에 따라 표면에는 새로운 island가 형성되지 않고, 기존의 island들이 점차 길이 방향으로 크기가 증가하면서 [$33\bar{2}$] 방향으로 배열하였다. 이와 같은 Ge 나노구조의 형성과 형태 변화는 나노구조 형성과정에서 변형이완(strain relaxation)과 가원자(adatom)의 표면 동역학적 효과와 깊은 관련이 있는 것으로 분석된다.

A Newly Recorded Sea Star of Genus Henricia (Asteroidea: Spinulosida: Echinasteridae) from Jeju Island, Korea

  • Some asteroid specimens were collected at a depth of 150 m near Moseulpo in Jeju Island, Korea using fishing nets on October 2014. The specimens were identified as Henricia pacifica Hayashi, 1940 belonging to the family Echinasteridae of order Spinulosida. In the Korean fauna, seven species of genus Henricia were reported of which two species, H. nipponica and H. ohshimai, were distributed in Jeju Island. The morphological characteristics of this species were re-described with illustrations.

프랙탈 기법에 의한 울릉도 형상화 사례 연구 (Simulation Uleung Island By The Statistical Fractals)

  • In 3D computer graphics, fractal techniques have been applied to terrain models. Even though fractal models have become popular for recreating a wide variety of the shapes found in nature, a specific 3D terrain model such as Uleung Island could not be formulated by statistical fractals easily owing to the random effects. However, by locating the midpoints on the edges and the surface of a specific terrain such as Uleung Island, a similar shape of the terrain model can be simulated. This paper shows the way of simulating 3D Uleung Island terrain model by the statistical fractals wherein the subdivision algorithm is used.

A Newly Recorded Sea Star (Asteroidea: Valvatida) from Jejudo Island, Korea

  • Some asteroid specimens were collected from the subtidal zone near Gapado, Jejudo Island with fishing net on June 2010. Among them, Anseropoda petaloides (Goto, 1914) which belongs to the family Asterinidae of the order Valvatida turned out to be a new record from Korea. Morphological characters of this species collected at 130 m deep are redescribed with photographs. This species is characterized by its very thin body composed of plates imbricated into each other like scales. Twenty four asteroids are currently known from Jejudo Island, Korea.

  • Housing lots and area for industrial construction are very serious problem because of narrow country area and high population density of Korea. Especially the form of Pusan is long from north to south. Since the city is surrounded by the sea, traffic trouble and housing lots problem is very serious condition. To solve these problems, Reclamation & Man-made island is needed. So Pusan city is planning for Man-made Island for 2000 year. I will consider about the content of Man-made Island, which is planned by Pusan, and the character of Geotechnical Engineering.

울릉도 해역의 단각류(갑각류) II (The Marine Amphipod Crustaceans of Ulreung Island, Korea : Part II)

  • This study on the five families (Anamixidae, Colomastigidae, Eophliantidae, Eusiridae, and Hyalidae) of fammaridean amphipods of Ulreung Island was based on the materials collected at eight localities in Ulreung Island. Nine speices of seven genera were identified. Of these, three (Paranamixis denticulus, Colomastix prionotos, and Hyale bisaeta) were new to science. Three species (Ceinina japonica, Eusiroides monoculoides japonicus, and Allorchestes angusta) were new recordsfor Korean waters. These six species were descirbed with illustrations.

A New Record of Sea Star (Asteroidea: Phanerozonia) from Jejudo Island, Korea

  • Some sea stars were collected from the coast of Seogwipo, Jejudo Island by using the fishing net at April 2003, and were identified on the basis of their morphological characteristics. Among them, Paragonaster ctenopes Sladen, 1889 belonging to family Goniasteridae, order Phanerozonia is newly recorded from Korea. Twenty two species of asteroids are reported to be distributed in the Jejudo Island of Korea.

울릉도 해산 중복족류 (Mesogastropods)의 분류 및 기재 (Classification and Description of Mesogastropods from Ullung Island Waters)

  • The present study on the classification and description of the marine mesogastropods based on the materials which were collected during the period from 12th to 17th of July in 1989 at nine localities of the Ullug Island. Seven unrecored species in 6 families of mesogastropodes are new to the fauna of Ullung Island. As a result of this study, 7 families and 8 species of marind mesogastuopoes are riported from the Ullung Island. Two species of thim, Costalynia costulata(Dunker, 1860), Barleeia angustata(Pilsbry, 1901), are found to be new to the fauna of Korea.
