창업자와 투자자간 네트워크가 기업성과에 미치는 영향: Tips 사업을 중심으로 (The Effects of Network between Business Founder and Investor on Enterprise performance: Focused on TIPS Support Business)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 창업생태계를 네트워크적 측면에서 접근하여 창업자와 투자자의 네트워크에 대한 인식, 특성 등을 분석함으로서 네트워크와 기업간 성과창출과의 상관관계를 파악하는데 있다. 실증분석을 위한 연구 대상으로 정책적인 모범사례로 평가 받고 있는 TIPS사업을 선정하였고 조사 수집된 자료에 대해 소셜 네트워크 분석과 통계분석을 하였다. TIPS사업에 참여하는 창업기업과 투자자의 네트워크의 연결성이 기업의 성과에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 전제 하에 실시한 분석 결과, 다른 투자자와의 관계가 많을수록, 매개적 위치를 차지하고 있을수록, 다른 투자자들과의 직간접적 연결거리가 짧을수록, 영향력 있는 투자자와 연결되어 있을수록, 연결성이 큰 그룹에 소속되어 있을수록 해당 운영사가 투자한 창업팀의 후속투자 유치 가능성도 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 투자자의 네트워크 연결성이 강할수록 투자자가 투자한 스타트업이 후속투자 유치에 성공하면서 생존, 발전할 가능성이 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 그리고 창업팀과 운영사 모두 투자 유치 또는 기업 발굴 시에 기업과 투자자 간의 내부 인적 네트워크가 중요한 역할을 한다고 생각하고 있었으며, 인적 네트워크 가치가 기업가치 평가나 투자 결정에서 중요한 영향을 미칠 것이라고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 생태계 내의 네트워크가 창업기업의 성장에 긍정적인 인식을 통해 네트워크 중심의 생태계 발전방안에 대한 많은 연구가 있기를 기대한다.

Optimal Replacement Scheduling of Water Pipelines

  • Water distribution networks (WDNs) are designed to satisfy water requirement of an urban community. One of the central issues in human history is providing sufficient quality and quantity of water through WDNs. A WDN consists of a great number of pipelines with different ages, lengths, materials, and sizes in varying degrees of deterioration. The available annual budget for rehabilitation of these infrastructures only covers part of the network; thus it is important to manage the limited budget in the most cost-effective manner. In this study, a novel pipe replacement scheduling approach is proposed in order to smooth the annual investment time series based on a life cycle cost assessment. The proposed approach is applied to a real WDN currently operating in South Korea. The proposed scheduling plan considers both the annual budget limitation and the optimum investment on pipes' useful life. A non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm is used to solve a multi-objective optimization problem. Three decision-making objectives, including the minimum imposed LCC of the network, the minimum standard deviation of annual cost, and the minimum average age of the network, are considered to find optimal pipe replacement planning over long-term time period. The results indicate that the proposed scheduling structure provides efficient and cost-effective rehabilitation management of water network with consistent annual budget.

철도건설 투자우선순위에 관한 연구 (A Study on Criteria for investment Priority of Railway Project)

  • Determining the investment priority of the railway project is essential to keep its object of railway investment. [National railway construction plan] provide 4 major evaluation indicators and their weighting range in determining the investment priority of railway construction. Which are investment efficiency, inter-regional balance of development, network effects, government supporting policy. However this present criteria has inconsistency in determining economical feasibility of the railway transportation when applying the same evaluation indicator, investment efficiency, with the road transportation. The railway transportation is superior to road transportation in terms of transportation capacity and distance, while offering less carbon emissions. In spite of the prominent position of the railway transportation, it can be failed to obtain its proper investment priority when being determined under economical feasibility based. Therefore, this study analyzed the inconsistency under present evaluation criteria and proposed new evaluation method for the investment priority of the railway construction using AHP(analytic hierarchy process), while differentiate from the road construction. This method is optimized for only determining the priority of the railway construction itself under object of railway investment respectively.

  • All-IP network requires change of the existing IP network engineering methods as the convergence service market between communication and broadcasting industries using IP network is growing rapidly. Especially the video services like IPTV require more strict transmission quality and higher bandwidth than the existing data services. So it is difficult to design All-IP network by the over-provisioning method which used to be used for the existing IP network design. It also requires a heavy investment which becomes one of big obstacles to the IPTV service expansion. In order to reduce the investment costs, it is required to design an optimized network by maximizing the utilization of the network resources and at the same time maintaining the customer satisfaction in terms of service quality. In this paper, we first analyze the effects of IPTV traffic on the existing internet. Then we compare two traffic engineering technologies, which are dimensioning without admission control and dimensioning with admission control, on the All-IP network design by simulation. Finally, we suggest cost effectiveness of traffic engineering technologies for designing the All-IP network.

  • 최근 SNS 이용이 활성화됨에 따라 SNS 제공환경에서의 정보보호에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 SNS 산업 환경의 급격한 성장으로 인한 가입자 유치 위주의 투자 선행과 서비스 제공자 측면에서의 SNS 정보보호 투자 효과에 대한 확신 부족, 그리고 SNS에서의 정보보호 중요위협요인에 대한 분석체계 부재로 인해 아직까지 SNS 제공환경에서의 정보보호에 대한 투자가 미흡한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 AHP를 이용한 SNS 제공환경에서 정보보호 중요위협요인 분석을 통해 정보보호 투자 결정 기준 도출에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구를 통해, '서비스 이미지'가 정보보호 평가기준에서 가장 중요한 항목으로 도출되었으며, '개인 프로파일 위조 및 명예훼손'과 '산업 스파이'가 중요한 SNS 정보보호 위협요인인 것으로 나타났다.

글로벌 경제 환경과 해외직접투자 네트워크의 공간적 재편 (Reshaping the FDI Network in the Global Economic Environment)

  • 본 연구는 2009년부터 2021년까지 IMF의 CDIS(Coordinated Direct Investment Survey) 자료를 이용하고 사회 네트워크 분석 방법을 활용하여 글로벌 해외직접투자 네트워크의 변화를 분석하였다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 코로나19 팬데믹 이후 국가 간 FDI 관계의 긴밀성이 약화되고, 상호 관계 활동성이 축소되었다. 둘째, 글로벌 해외직접투자 네트워크에서 가장 영향력이 있는 국가는 미국, 네덜란드, 영국 등인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 불안정한 글로벌 경제 환경 속에서 중국의 연결 중심성이 크게 변화하였다. 넷째, 해외직접투자 네트워크의 클러스터와 지역 간에는 유의미하게 연관성이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 긴밀하게 연결되어 있는 개별 국가들의 투자 파트너들은 시간의 흐름에 따라 차별적인 특징을 보인다.

  • Subscriber network investment cost is a main cost element among those constituting the access charges in telephone networks. The purpose of this paper to estimate the investment cost of installing a subscriber network in a typical metropolitan area and to develop a cost modeling framework. To this aim, a metropolitan area in Seoul was investigated. The main cost elements were identified and their relationships with the cable technology, geographical characteristics, and the number of subscribers were analyzed. The findings could be used to design an enhanced cost proxy models for estimating the access charges in a multi-operator environment.

철도산업의 발전방향에 관한 기초 연구 (The Basic Study on the development of rail industry)

  • In this paper, I illustrate the situations and problems rail industry is faced with. The rail industry has been suffering deficiency in investment with low technical level. Lacks of strategic marketing plans and low competitiveness in the industry led to a small portion of modal share, estimated at 12.6% in 2001(person base). Recently, rail industry has caught up with the current flow of changes. For example, a prototype of Korea high speed train had been manufactured to be successfully tested on commercial track. And the amount of rail investment increased gradually. The rail industry of EU nations, America, Japan reveals good outcomes, which keeps the balance in the black thanks to growth of investment in rail and high technical level. I have come up with some ideas for improvement, which I believe will be helpful to lead the rail industry. First, I suggest the upbringing of rail industry and technology on a national level. Second, expanding the rail network with the rail modernization. Lastly, I think it is crucial to establish a law and institution before we advance into overseas markets.

Impact of Environmental Attitudes on the Judgment of Non-Professional Investors in Saudi Arabia

  • This paper aims to study the influence of environmental attitudes on the choice of non-professional investors. It highlights the role of environmental performance assurance on investment judgments. This choice is due to the motivation and importance that investors place on the disclosure of environmental information. The main purpose of the research is focused on the empirical approach justified by the use of a questionnaire addressed to 200 non-professional investors. The results show that attitudes towards the environment do not correlate with the importance that gives this category of investors to the environmental information.. Subsequently, the results prove that the disclosure of an environmental assurance report has a positive impact on investment judgments independently of their appreciation of the environmental information concerning that of financial order.

A Proposed Framework for Evaluating the Return on Investment of E-Learning Programs at Saudi Universities

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce a proposed Framework for Evaluating the Return on Investment (ROI) of E-Learning Programs at Saudi Universities. To achieve this goal, the descriptive analysis methodology is used to analyze the literature review about e-learning and its evaluation from different viewpoints, especially from the ROI-related perspective. As well as the literature reviews related to ROI and the methods of calculating it inside society institutes. This study suggests a conceptual framework for evaluating the ROI of E-Learning Programs at Saudi Universities. This framework is based on the merging process among the analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate (ADDIE) model for designing e-learning programs, which gives detailed procedures for executing the program, several evaluating models for e-learning, and the Kirkpatrick model for evaluating the ROI of e-learning. It consists of seven stages (analysis, calculating the costs, design, development, implementation, calculation of the benefits, and calculation of the final ROI).
