  • This research will suggest a Digital Physical Field Game (Digital PFG) as a new ubiquitous paradigm. Based on the evolution of videogame paradigm which is affected by the social paradigm evolves, meanings of "participation" and "communication" as an interaction in the videogames are examined. Additionally, a general concept of ubiquitous games and its limitations are also investigated. Based on that, a new game paradigm which contains a concept of ubiquitous games, Digital PFG's main concepts and examples are newly designed and proposed. As contributions of this research, next are expected, such as, improved immersive contents for the serious games and new approaches to the theme and science parks design as a user participated digital contents.

  • DEUTZ AG, co-founded in 1864 by Nicolaus August Otto, the inventor of the four-stroke cycle engine, has developed the new 2013 engine for commercial vehicles on the basis of the tried and tested 1012 and 1013 series. With 4 and 6 cylinder models, the engine covers the power range between 100 and 190 kW. At the time of their introduction to the market, the engines will meet the exhaust emission legislation of EURO IV and incorporate the potential for EURO IV, Further engineering targets were. (Compactness, Favourable power/cost relation, Low weight, Low fuel consumption and Low noise level). All targets could be accomplished in a relatively short development period via the application of modem simulation tools and test methods. In this paper, the design configuration of the engines is described with particular emphasis on measures for noise emission reduction and the combustion system including injection and turbo charging. Furthermore, we demonstrate the engine's potential to fullfill the European emission legislation EU4, which comes into force in 2005.

  • Advanced nuclear power plants are generally large complex systems automated by computers. Whenever a rare plant emergency occurs the plant operators must cope with the emergency under severe mental stress without committing any fatal errors. Furthermore, The operators must train to improve and maintain their ability to cope with every conceivable situation, though it is almost impossible to be fully prepared for an infinite variety of situations. In view of the limited capability of operators in emergency situations, there has been a new approach to preventing the human error caused by improper human-machine interaction. The new approach has been triggered by the introduction of advanced information systems that help operators recognize and counteract plant emergencies. In this paper, the adverse effect of automation in human-machine systems is explained. The discussion then focuses on how to configure a joint human-machine system for ideal human-machine interaction. Finally, there is a new proposal on how to organize technologies that recognize the different states of such a joint human-machine system.

  • The introduction of new access technologies in 5G radio networks has had a considerable impact on the design of transport networks. Research activities are underway on new transport technologies in both the wireless and optical domains to support 5G transport. This paper provides an overview of the concept and requirements of a fronthaul. We also discuss the research activities of a new fronthaul interface for future 5G networks, a 5G integrated fronthaul/backhaul transport network (5G-Crosshaul), a next-generation fronthaul interface (NGFI), a mobile xhaul network (MXN), and a next-generation mobile fronthaul architecture with multi-IF carrier transmission scheme.

  • For the transition to the low carbon society, it is inevitable but difficult journey that the new energy technology spread co-exists with formal social system. The objective of offshore wind power plant that has been implemented by the government is to connect large capacity new renewable energy to the central electric power system. Therefore, for the successful introduction of offshore wind power system, the transition of the formal social technology system should be companied. This study analysis the energy system transition about niche strategy adjustment using Multiple Level Perspectives & Strategic Niche Management. It also multi level analyzes and structuralizes the process that new technology, as a research result, evolves through connecting and communicating with formal regime and landscape. Also, adjusting Strategic Niche Management, it diagnoses the obstructive factors in the initial stage of niche experiment and found the major reasons why offshore wind power test plant had been delayed. Through this study, it reaches to the practical implication that offshore niche technology could grow stably in the energy system and various policies.

  • Fig. 8 summarizes the present status of high yield pulp production and the directions of research on modification. A thick line indicates pulping process presently in use. As mentioned previously, one kind of modification is to introduce hydrophilic groups onto the pulp. Still unsolved is whether or not the introduction of hydrophilic groups should be restricted to lignin only. Goring (28) reported that middle lamella lignin has fewer phenolic hydroxyl groups than cell wall lignin and suggested that such a difference in the lignin may be useful in the removal of middle lamella lignin. The introduction of hydrophilic groups onto pulp may not be enough to modify high yield pulp. The removal of some portion of carbohydrate may be also necessary from the standpoint of softening of pulp fibers. There is no information at what lignin and carbohydrate, and how much should be removed. The combination with synthetic high polymers may also be important in modifying high yield pulp. Prof. C. Schuerch of the State University of New York who was a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo in 1974, mentioned that the hydrophilicity of lignin would be promoted, if phenolic hydroxyl or carboxyl groups could be introduced into the aromatic nucleus of lignin. If this were possible. this process would also mean a pulp yield of more than 100%. This idea is just one example of the expectation made possible through lignin chemistry. Instead of the introduction of hydrophilic group, the oxidative degradation of aromatic nucleus of lignin may also be useful in promoting the hydrophilicity of pulp. In this case, ozone may be an excellent chemical. However, there are a lot of problems to be solved such as homogeneity of reaction and selectivity of ozone for lignin. The above ideas are summarized in Fig. 9. There are many problems to be solved in the production of an excellent high yield pulp which is comparable to chemical pulp. The information from wood chemistry hopefully will elucidate some of the problems mentioned above.

  • The bill of lading serves to link imports and exports. It is the last document issued in the export process and is the most important document before import and export as it is the first document required for importers to take over goods. Transfer the right to the goods to be transported to another person through endorsement. The role and importance of the bill of lading has already been suggested in many previous studies and the trading partners are fully aware of it. In addition, all countries and international organizations recognized the importance and enacted various laws and systems in relation to possible legal problems and they have become customary in practice. However, trade fraud that exploits the characteristics of the bill of lading may occur. In order to solve this problem, various attempts related to the electronic rights transfer of the bill of lading began to be carried out, and many institutions and companies are still trying to develop a new system. As a result of these efforts, electronic bills of lading, such as bolero, appeared, and electronic bills of lading, which can transfer rights in an electronic way, appeared. Therefore, this study intends to present the feasibility of the introduction of smart bills of lading after examining the current status of electronic bills of lading and the introduction of block chain technology-based bills of lading.

The development of various algorithms and programs has pushed artificial intelligence to a new peak. Due to its complexity and diversity in the field of architectural design, the positive impact of artificial intelligence technology on architectural design is discussed from the perspective of conceptual design. For museums, which are one of the increasingly popular public facilities, the introduction of artificial intelligence technology has provided certain help in assisting the conceptual design of the museum. This article analyzes the theoretical and practical support of artificial intelligence technology in improving conceptual design, analyzing the architectural appearance, structural layout, materials, etc., to increase the feasibility and practicality of assisting conceptual design. It has certain reference significance for building a modern, advanced, international and interactive modern museum.
