성인여성 기성복의 치수 간격설정에 관한 연구 (A study on the apparel sizing system of adult women)

  • The purposes of this paper were to suggest the procedures for a sizing sys- tem which can provide good fitting of apparel and minimize the loss due to excessive inventory, and to determine an adequate apparel sizing standard. An anthropometric database used for this study was the 1992 National Anthro- pometric Survey of Koreans. The database was limited to 1,336 women who were 18-51 years old. They study was conducted by classifying ages into two groups (18-33, 34-51) using Wilk's lamda. Three principal components : laterality( fullness), linearity(length) and characteristic of torso were selected to describe body types, and these three body type classification of each group were selected by cluster analysis. It was found that all intervals between standard sizes were not equal. They were narrow around the center with high frequencies of the customers but wide in both tail with low frequencies. It was also found that the optimal sizes suing the loss function can be applied well in practice.

해안선 길이 특성을 이용한 일관된 최소 점간거리 결정 방안 (Determination of Minimum Vertex Interval using Shoreline Characteristics)

  • 해안선은 국가의 형상을 결정하는 기준이기 때문에 일관되게 추출되어야 한다. 최소 점간거리가 일관되지 않으면 일관된 해안선 길이를 산출할 수 없기 때문에 국가정책 결정을 위한 기초자료로서의 신뢰도를 확보하기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 1m 이하에서 임의의 점간거리로 산출될 수 있는 해안선에 대하여 일관되게 산출하기 위한 최소 점간거리에 대한 방안을 제시하였다. 국립해양조사원에서 공표한 해안선 길이를 기준으로 점간거리에 따른 해안선 길이 변화를 비교분석하기 위해 연구대상지를 선정하고 해안선과 중첩되는 격자를 생성하였다. 비교결과를 토대로 일관된 해안선 길이를 고려한 최소 격자 크기를 추정하는 다항식을 유도함으로써 최소 격자 크기와 최소 점간거리를 결정할 수 있었다. 공표된 해안선 길이와 다양한 격자 크기로 일반화된 해안선 길이를 비교하고 점간거리에 따른 해안선의 특성을 분석함으로써 일관한 해안선 길이를 고려한 최소 점간거리를 추정할 수 있었다. 결정된 격자 크기에 대한 정량적 평가를 수행한 결과에 따르면 일관된 해안선 길이 결정에 최소 점간거리 방법론이 유용할 것으로 판단된다. 제시한 최소 점간거리 결정 방안은 일관된 해안선 길이를 산출하는데 도움이 되고 국가 기준인 해안선의 신뢰도를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

불화나트륨 바니쉬의 도포 주기에 따른 백색 병소의 재광화 효과 (REMINERALIZATION EFFECT OF SODIUM FLUORIDE VARNISH ON WHITE LESION BY APPLICATION INTERVALS)

  • 본 연구는 불소 바니쉬의 백색 병소에 대한 치료 효과를 도포 기간, 빈도 등에 따라 미세경도와 병소 면적 변화를 통해 비교 분석하였다. 실험을 위해 대구치의 치관부를 이용해 레진 블록을 제작하였다. 불소 도포 주기에 따라, 1주군(I군), 2주군(II군), 3주군(III군)으로 분류하여 군당 15개의 시편을 배정하였다. 시편은 카보폴 907을 이용한 인공우식용액에 15일간 침지하여 탈회시켰으며, 이후 인공타액에 넣어 $37^{\circ}C$ 항온기에 보관하였다. 탈회 전, 탈회 후, 불소 도포 후 미세경도와 병소 면적의 변화를 평가하였다. 연구 결과 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 미세경도 값은 I군과 비교하여 II군과 III군에서 약 2배의 증가율이 관찰되었으며, I군과 II군, I군과 III군 사이에서 통계적 유의성을 보였으나(p<0.05), II군과 III군 사이에서는 유의성을 보이지 않았다(p>0.05). 2. 색조 측정기를 이용해 관찰한 병소 면적의 변화는 I군과 II군, III군 사이에 통계적 유의성을 보이지 않았다(p>0.05). 이상의 결과에서 불소 바니쉬 도포를 통해 백색 병소의 양적, 질적 개선을 얻을 수 있다고 생각되며, 2주 이상의 주기로 도포를 시행하였을 때 좋은 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

한국 여성 브래지어 치수 분포에 관한 연구 (The Study on Brassiere Size Charts in Adult Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide a brassiere size chart for making the well-fitted brassiere. The subjects are 2811 women whose range of age is 12 to 59. These woman were classified into 5 age groups by seniority ; age group 1(12~19), age group 2(20~29), age group 3(30~39), age group 4(40~49), age group 5(50~59). statistical differences of measurements were analyzed among 5 age groups through ANOVA. Correlation between measurements were analyzed by correlation analysis. In addition, new brassiere size chart and production rate tables were proposed in this study. The results of the study were as follows. 1) Most of the body measurements were significantly different among 5 age groups. The height was decreasing by getting older while weight was increasing significantly. The 3 girth measurements(top bust, bust, under bust girth) in breast, bust width, bust depth were apt to increase definitely. The 3 girth measurements had high Correlation coefficients among 3 girth mesurements. Therefore, it is valid to pick out cup size and under bust girth for representative items of size chart. 2) Under bust girth and cup size were chosen as 2 axes of brassiere size chart. From the dual distribution table whose intervals had been determined by KS size chart, 17 sizes, which had more than 2% of appearance, were suggested for brassiere size chart. Through these new size charts, the suggested brassiere sizes covered 82.5% of all subjects. The suggested brassiere size chart would be more helpful than KS size chart in making the well-fitted brassiere.

실험 교흔 조직의 경과시간에 따른 in vitro 3차원 디지털 분석 연구 (A Study on the Three Dimentional Digital Analysis of Experimental Bite-marks with the Progress of Time)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 돼지피부에 형성된 교흔의 시간 경과에 따른 차이를 비교하는 것이다. 이와 같은 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 돼지피부에 성인 교합압으로 하중을 가했을 때 생긴 교흔을 시간경과에 따라 3차원으로 분석하였다. 시간은 교흔 발생 직후부터 1시간 간격으로 3시간까지 측정하였다. 측정된 결과를 분석하기 위해 root mean square(RMS)로 계산하고, 이에 대한 결과값은 1-way ANOVA test를 실시하여 도출하였다(α =.05). 분석 결과 교흔 발생 직후와 1시간이 경과한 이후에는 0.899mm로 나타났고, 1시간에서 2시간 경과에서는 0.717mm, 마지막으로 2시간에서 3시간 경과는 0.506mm로 나타났으며 결과에는 유의미한 차이가 나타나는 것으로 확인되었다(P<0.05). 결론적으로 교흔은 시간 경과에 따라 압박흔에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 시간대별 차이는 교흔직후와 1시간 경과에서 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 시간이 경과됨에 따라 교흔의 변화 양상은 줄어드는 것으로 분석되었고, 모든 치연 중에서 특히 전치부가 교흔이 뚜렷한 것으로 관찰되었다.

Recreational Physical Activity and Risk of Ovarian Cancer: a Meta-analysis

  • Our aim was to access the association between recreational physical activity (RPA) and risk of ovarian cancer (OC). The studies were retrieved from the PubMed and Embase databases up to February 20th, 2014. Risk ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were used to estimate effect sizes. Random-effects or fixed-effects models were used to pool the data. The trim and fill method was applied for sensitivity analysis. Begg's rank correlation test and Egger's regression asymmetry test were employed to assess the publication bias. A total of 6 studies (435398 participants including 2983 OC patients) were included in this meta-analysis. The overall estimate indicated that there was weakly inverse association between RPA and OC risk (RR=0.90, 95%CI: 0.72-1.12, p=0.335). Meanwhile, for prospective cohort studies, a result consistent with the overall estimate was obtained (RR=1.12, 95% CI: 0.88-1.42, p=0.356). However, for case control studies, the pooled estimate of RR was 0.76 (95%CI: 0.64-0.90, p=0.002), indicating a clear significant association between RPA and OC risk. In addition, the sensitivity analysis indicated a significant link between RPA and risk of OC after removing Lahmann's study (RR=0.80, 95% CI: 0.68-0.93, p=0.004). No significant publication bias was found (Begg's test: p=1.00; Egger's test: p=0.817). In conclusion, our meta-analysis indicated a weakly inverse relationship between RPA and the occurrence of OC.

Development of Matching Priors for P(X < Y) in Exprnential dlstributions

  • In this paper, matching priors for P(X < Y) are investigated when both distributions are exponential distributions. Two recent approaches for finding noninformative priors are introduced. The first one is the verger and Bernardo's forward and backward reference priors that maximizes the expected Kullback-Liebler Divergence between posterior and prior density. The second one is the matching prior identified by matching the one sided posterior credible interval with the frequentist's desired confidence level. The general forms of the second- order matching prior are presented so that the one sided posterior credible intervals agree with the frequentist's desired confidence levels up to O(n$^{-1}$ ). The frequentist coverage probabilities of confidence sets based on several noninformative priors are compared for small sample sizes via the Monte-Carlo simulation.

Specific Absorption Rate Values of Handsets in Cheek Position at 835 MHz as a Function of Scaled Specific Anthropomorphic Mannequin Models

  • A specific anthropomorphic mannequin (SAM) model was used to investigate the relation between local specific absorption rate (SAR) and head size. The model was scaled to 80 to 100% sized models at intervals of 5%. We assumed that the shell of the SAM model has the same properties as the head-equivalent tissue. Five handsets with a monopole antenna operating at 835 MHz were placed in the approximate cheek position against the scaled SAM models. The handsets had different antenna lengths, antenna positions, body sizes, and external materials. SAR distributions in the scaled SAM models were computed using the finite-difference time-domain method. We found that a larger head causes a distinct increase in the spatial peak 1-voxel SAR, while head size did not significantly change the peak 1-g averaged-SAR and 10-g averaged-SAR values for the same power level delivered to the antenna.

다제품 회분식 공정 생산계획 자동화 및 최적화 (Automatic Optimal Scheduler for Multiproduct Batch Processes)

  • An inventory control system was developed for multiproduct batch plants with an arbitrary number of batch processes and storage units. Customer orders are received by the plant at intervals and in quantities that are subject to random fluctuations. The objective of the plant operation is to minimize the total cost while maintaining inventory levels within the storage or warehouse capacity by adjusting the startup times, the quantities of raw material orders, and production batch sizes. An adaptive model-based control algorithm was developed that uses a periodic square wave model to represent the flows of material between the processes and the storage units. The effectiveness of this approach was demonstrated by performing simulations.

한국인 관상동맥성 심질환의 위험요인으로서 혈청지질에 관한 메타분석 (Meta-analysis on the Blood Lipids as Risk Factors of Coronary Heart Diseases in Koreans)

  • Objectives : To determine the relations between seven blood lipids such as total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), HDL-cholesterol(HDL), LDL-cholesterol(LDL), apolipoprotein A-1(Apo A1), apolipoprotein B(Apo B) and lipoprotein(a)(Lp(A)) and the coronary heart diseases(CHD), the quantitative techniques of meta-analysis were applied to studios of blood lipids and CHD in Koreans. Methods : We searched the Korean and the English literature published from 1980 to August, 1997 by manual search and bibliography review. Information on sample size, study design, participant characteristics(gender, age) and blood lipid levels were abstracted by reviewers using inclusion criteria. Estimates of the effect sizes of blood lipid levels on CHD in Koreans and corresponding 95% confidence intervals were calculated using random-effect models. Results : We identified 16 case-control studies to apply meta-analysis. The overall effect sizes for CHD were 20.3(95% CI: 14.23-20.22) in TC, 24.8(95% CI: 12.6-36.86) in TG, 15.16(95% CI: 3.99-26.33) in LDL, -3.48(95% CI: -5.79 - -1.17) in HDL, -9.78(95% CI: -16.98 - -2.58) in Apo-a1, 17.88(95% CI: 9.72-26.05) in Apo B and 18.95(95% CI: 17.88-20.02) in Lp(a). Conclusions : Our results suggested that seven blood lipids were significantly associated with CHD in Koreans. Well-designed and prospective studies between blood lipids and CMD in Koreans should be peformed.
