Lymphoid interstitial pneumonia (LIP) is a rare benign lymphoproliferative interstitial lung disease. LIP has been associated with autoimmune disorders, HIV, viral infections, and so on. Once underlying systemic diseases have been excluded, a diagnosis of idiopathic LIP can be made. Although 6 cases of pathologically confirmed LIP have occurred in Korea, thus far none has been associated with primary Sjogren's syndrome. A 44-year-old man was admitted to hospital due to a dry cough and dypsnea on exertion that had been ongoing for 2 months. A chest radiography showed multiple and variable-sized cystic lesions, on both lungs and both interstitial infiltration and consolidation in both lower lung fields. Tests for autoantibody showed positive results of anti-nuclear antibody and anti-Ro/La antibody. The patient underwent a video assisted thoracoscopic surgery biopsy and pathologically confirmed LIP. We report the first known case of LIP-associated with primary Sjogren's syndrome in Korea.

Total 160 head of porcine kidneys were examined for gross and histopathological lesions and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV-2), porcine parvovirus (PPV), Leptospira species and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV). Grossly, 137 kidneys (85.6%) had lesions characterized by the presence of the scattered white foci. Microscopically, multifocal interstitial nephritis, which classified into 4 grades such as, no lesion (Score 0), mild lesion (Score 1), moderate lesion (Score 2) and severe chronic lesion (Score 3) with fibrosis, was observed in 159 cases (99.4%). The histopathologic mean score for multifocal interstitial nephritis was significantly different (P<0.05) between the cases of PCV-2 single infection and the cases of co-infection with PCV-2 and PPV. According to PCR evaluation, PCV-2 were detected in 73.8% (118 cases), PPV were in 66.9% (107 cases), however Leptospira spp. and PRRSV were negative in all kidneys. Both PCV-2 and PPV were detected in 52.5% (84 cases). In 84 cases co-infected with PCV-2 and PPV, the occurrence of lymphoid follicle and vasculitis were observed as 65.5% (55 cases) and 26.2% (22 cases), respectively. These results revealed that PCV-2 and PPV were major infectious agents for interstitial nephritis in slaughtered pigs, Jeju. And the histopathologic lesions of multifocal interstitial nephritis were more severe in the case co-infected with PCV-2 and PPV.

비특이성 간질성 폐렴에서 대개의 경우 스테로이드 치료로 호전지만 스테로이드 저항성 인 경우 여러 가지 면역 억제제가 이차 약제로 치료에 시도되고 있으며 본 증례에서는 cyclosprin을 이차약제로 사용해서 좋은 치료 효과를 얻었기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고 하는 바이다.

저자들은 평소 건강하였던 42세 주부에서 원인을 알 수 없는 갑자기 발생된 호흡부전을 주소로 입원하여 임상적, 방사선학적으로 급성 간질성 폐렴의 증상을 보이고 개흉 폐 생검술에서 조직학적으로 급성 간질성 폐렴에 합당한 소견으로 확진된 1예를 보고하는 바이다.

The combination therapy of pegylated interferon and ribavirin is the mainstay of treatment for chronic hepatitis C patients. Anti-viral therapy is commonly associated with side effects such as headache, fever, myalgia, and arthralgia. However, anti-viral therapy can continue because these side effects are mostly mild and can be improved with supportive management. Anti-viral therapy should be stopped promptly if serious side effects, such as interstitial pneumonitis or hemolytic anemia occur, although those serious side effects are rare. There were a few case reports of interferon-related interstitial pneumonitis worldwide. In Korea, one atypical case report of interstitial pneumonitis has been reported, which followed the combination therapy of interferon-alpha and ribavirin in a patient with chronic hepatitis C. We present a case of interstitial pneumonitis and pancytopenia following the combination therapy of pegylated interferon and ribavirin in a patient with chronic hepatitis C.

교원성 질환에 병발하여 나타나는 간질성 폐렴은 여러가지가있으며, 이 중 비특이성 간질성 폐렴은 통상성 간질성 폐렴과는 달리, 예후가 좋고 스테로이드에 반응이 좋은 질병이다. 저자들은 전신성 홍반성 낭창에 동반된 비특이성 간질성 폐렴환자를 경험하고, 스테로이드를 써서 치료 후 외래에서 추적 관찰하는 1예가 있었기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

자궁외 임신은 자궁강내 내막 이외의 장소에 주머니배가 착상하는 것을 의미하며, 최근 조기 진단 및 치료의 가능성이 증가했지만, 여전히 주요한 모성 사망의 한 원인이다. 불임 환자의 경우 배란약제 사용 및 보조생식술과 연관되어 일반적인 경우에 비해 자궁외 임신 및 다태 임신, 동시 양측성 난관 임신 같은 복합성 자궁외 임신의 발생도 증가하고 있는데, 아직까지 전체 자궁외 임신 중 보조생식술 후 발생한 복합성 자궁외 임신이 차지하는 발생 비율에 대한 정확한 통계는 이루어 지지 않고 있으나 이러한 시술이 점차 늘고 있기 때문에 그 발생률도 증가할 것으로 생각된다. '자궁각 임신' (cornual pregnancy)은 자궁외 임신중 비교적 드문 경우로서, 흔히 '간질성 임신' (interstitial pregnancy)과 비슷한 의미로 사용된다. '간질성 임신'의 발생은 전체 자궁외 임신의 약 2~4% 정도에 해당하며, 간질성 임신으로 인한 모성 사망률은 전체 간질성 임신의 약 2~3% 정도에 달한다고 알려져 있다. 이는 전체 난관 임신으로 인한 사망률의 2배 정도에 해당하는 수치이다. 저자들은 체외수정 및 배아 이식술 후 좌측 난관과 우측 자궁각 부위에 임신이 된 복합성 자궁외 임신 1예를 경험하였기에 간단한 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

거대세포성 간질성 폐렴은 경금속 도구를 이용한 절삭, 연마공정에서 발생하는 경금속 분진을 흡입하여 발생하는 산업성 폐질환으로 알려져 있다. 저자들은 이러한 특징적인 경금속분진에 대한 노출력이 없이 발생하였던 거대세포성 간질성 폐렴을 수술적 폐생검과 폐조직내 금속 함유량 분석을 통해 진단하였기에 보고 하는 바이다.

만성 C형 간염환자에서 IFN으로 치료중에 발생된 간질성 폐렴은 매우 드물고 아직까지국내에는 보고된 바 없었다. 저자들은 만성 C형 간염환자가 IFN-${\alpha}$를 투여받던 중에 기침과 호흡곤란을 주소로 내원하여 간질성 폐렴으로 진단된 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

This research was undertaken to determine the effect of cyclophosphamide(CP) on the Leydig cells and macrophages in the interstitial tissue of the mice(ICR strain). To evaluate how this drug could affect the these cells, during administration(200mg/kg) 1 time to 3 times at intervals of 48hrs. In the Leydig cells of the control and 1 time treated group, a number of microperoxisomes were observed interspersed among the network of smooth endoplasmic reticulum(SER) in cellular regions where the SER predominantes. Microperoxisomes were also founded in close proximity to the cell membrane. The interstitial tissue were exhibited degenerating Leydig cells but macrophages wer containd greatly increased numbers of cytoplasmic inclusion body and secondary lysosomes. In the 1 time treated group. A very small number of Leydig cells were observed, from 2 to 3 time group, but macrophages were more increased than 1 time group in number. CP thus offers a valuable opportunity to study further the interaction between Leydig cells and macrophages in the interstitial tissue. These alteration could be direct mediated by toxic effect of the drug on the interstitial tissue.
