다기능단속카메라 수집 자료를 활용한 과속운전 특성 분석 (Analysis of Speeding Characteristics Using Data from Red Light and Speed Enforcement Cameras)

  • 과속은 교통안전에 있어서 중요한 영향요인이며, 사고 심각도에 영향을 끼칠 뿐만 아니라 사고 위험성과 밀접한 관련성이 있다. 본 연구는 청주시의 신호교차로에 설치된 36개 다기능단속카메라(신호 및 과속)에서 수집한 27,968건의 속도위반 자료에 대한 분석 결과를 제시하고 있다. 이 자료에는 위반자의 3년간 위반이력을 포함한 다양한 인구통계학적 특성들을 포함하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 속도위반과 인적, 차량 및 도로 환경요인들 간의 관련성을 알아보기 위함으로 분석방법은 통계프로그램 SPSS 20의 기술통계와 이항로지스틱 회귀분석을 이용하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 속도위반은 지방부와 도시외곽부 지역에서 많이 일어났다. 둘째, 속도위반 운전자의 약 25.6%는 제한속도 대비 20km/h 이상의 심각한 수준의 과속운전을 한다. 셋째, 과속운전자와 정상속도 운전자에 영향을 주는 변수로는 교차로의 공간적 위치와 운전자의 성별 및 연령이 선정되었다. 마지막으로, 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석에 의해 통계적으로 유의한 모형이 개발되었다(Hosmer and Lemeshow test : 11.586, p-value: 0.171).

입계부식법을 이용한 열화도 평가 프로그램 개발 (Program Development for Material Degradation Evaluation Using Grain Boundary Etching Method)

  • It is very important to evaluate material degradation like temper and carbide embrittlements to secure the reliable and efficient operational conditions and to prevent brittle failure in service. The extent of material deterioration can be accurately evaluated by mechanical test such as impact test or creep test. But it is almost impossible to sample a large specimen from in-service plants. Thus, the material degradation evaluation by a non-destructive method is earnestly required. Recently the non-destructive test technique which uses the grain boundary etching characteristics owing to the variation of material structures has been proposed. However the program for material degradation evaluation using the grain boundary etching method(GEM) in Windows 98 domain doesnt be developed now. The aims of this paper are to develop the program and to complete the new master curve equations for the evaluation of material degradation on in-serviced high temperature components.

AI기반 하천 부유쓰레기 모니터링 기술 연구 (A Study of AI-based Monitoring Techniques for Land-based Debris in Stream)

  • 해양쓰레기는 해안의 심미적 가치 저하뿐만 아니라 생태계 파괴, 유령 어업에 따른 수산업 피해 등의 사회적·환경적 문제를 발생시키며, 그중 70% 이상은 육상 기인으로 플라스틱 및 기타 쓰레기가 주를 이루는 해외와 달리 국내의 경우 다량의 초목류를 포함하고 있다. 다양한 부유쓰레기에 대한 기존의 해양쓰레기량 추정의 한계와 하천·하구 쓰레기 수거의 효율화를 위해 해양으로 유입되는 부유쓰레기 방지를 위한 실효성 있는 대책 수립이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구는 해양 유입 전 하천의 차단시설에 차집된 부유쓰레기의 수거 효율화 및 지속가능한 해양쓰레기 데이터 구축을 위해 AI기반의 기술을 통해 부유쓰레기 성상 분석 기법(Object Detection)과 차집량 분석 기법(Semantic Segmentation)을 활용하였다. 실제와 유사한 데이터 수집을 위해 다양한 하천 환경(정수조, 소하천, 급경사수로)에 대해 탁도(녹조, 유사), 광량, 쓰레기형상, 초목류 함량, 날씨(소하천), 유속(급경사수로) 등의 실험조건에 대하여 해양쓰레기 분류 기준 및 통계를 바탕으로 부유쓰레기 종류 선정하여 학습을 위한 데이터를 수집하였다. 학습 목적에 따라 구분하여 라벨링(Bounding box, Polygon)을 수행하고, 각 분석 기법별 전이학습을 통해 Phase 1(정수조), Phase 2(소하천), Phase 3(급경사수로) 순서로 모델을 고도화하였다. 성상 분석을 위해 YOLO v4를 활용하여 Train, Test DataSet(9:1)을 구성하고 학습 및 평가는 Iteration마다의 mAP, loss 값을 통해 비교하였으며, 학습 Phase에 따라 모델 고도화로 Test Set의 mAP 값이 성상별로 높아짐을 확인하였으며, 차집량 분석을 위해 Unet을 활용하여 Train, Test, Validation DataSet(8.5:1:0.5)을 구성하고 epoch별 IoU(intersection over Union), F1-score, loss 값을 비교하여 정성적, 정량적 평가 모두 Phase 3에서 가장 높은 성능을 확인하였다. 향후 하천 환경에서의 다양한 영양인자별 분석을 통해 주요 영향인자 도출 및 Hyper Parameter 최적화를 통한 모델 고도화로 인해 활용성이 높아질 것으로 판단된다.

  • 이 연구는 2004년부터 2007년까지 청주시 50개 교차로에 대한 패널자료를 이용한 교통사고 모형을 다루고 있다. 패널자료는 동일한 샘플을 이용하여 매년 반복적으로 수집된 자료를 의미한다. 연구의 목적은 위의 패널자료를 이용하여 교통사고 모형을 개발하는데 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 TSCSREG에 포함된 다양한 모형 중 최적의 모형을 도출하는데 중점을 두고 있다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교통사고의 다양한 요인들을 설명하는 4개의 패널자료 모형이 개발되었다. 둘째, 고정효과모형의 독립변수 t값이 임의효과모형에 비하여 더 작은 것으로 분석되었다. 마지막으로 교차로의 횡단보도수와 총 교차로수가 사고에 정(+)의 효과를 보이는 것으로 분석되었다.

A Robotic Vision System for Turbine Blade Cooling Hole Detection

  • Gas turbines are extensively used in flight propulsion, electrical power generation, and other industrial applications. During its life span, a turbine blade is taken out periodically for repair and maintenance. This includes re-coating the blade surface and re-drilling the cooling holes/channels. A successful laser re-drilling requires the measurement of a hole within the accuracy of ${\pm}0.15mm$ in position and ${\pm}3^{\circ}$ in orientation. Detection of gas turbine blade/vane cooling hole position and orientation thus becomes a very important step for the vane/blade repair process. The industry is in urgent need of an automated system to fulfill the above task. This paper proposes approaches and algorithms to detect the cooling hole position and orientation by using a vision system mounted on a robot arm. The channel orientation is determined based on the alignment of the vision system with the channel axis. The opening position of the channel is the intersection between the channel axis and the surface around the channel opening. Experimental results have indicated that the concept of cooling hole identification is feasible. It has been shown that the reproducible detection of cooling channel position is with +/- 0.15mm accuracy and cooling channel orientation is with +/$-\;3^{\circ}$ with the current test conditions. Average processing time to search and identify channel position and orientation is less than 1 minute.

  • The capacity spectrum method (CSM) is a deterministic seismic analysis approach wherein the expected seismic response of a structure is established as the intersection of the demand and capacity curves. Recently, there are a few studies about a probabilistic CSM where uncertainties in design factors such as material properties, loads, and ground motion are being considered. However, researches show that soil-structure interaction also affects the seismic responses of structures. Thus, their uncertainties should also be taken into account. Therefore, this paper presents a probabilistic approach of using the CSM for seismic analysis considering uncertainties in soil properties. For application, a reinforced concrete bridge column structure is employed as a test model. Considering the randomness of the various design parameters, the structure's probability of failure is obtained. Monte Carlo importance sampling is used as the tool to assess the structure's reliability when subjected to earthquakes. In this study, probabilistic CSM with and without consideration of soil uncertainties are compared and analyzed. Results show that the analysis considering soil structure interaction yields to a greater probability of failure, and thus can lead to a more conservative structural design.

  • Depending upon the method of the surface generation and the quality of the boundary curves provided, the resulting surfaces may have global or local irregularities in many cases. Thus it would be necessary for the designer to evaluate the surface quality and to modify the surface. This capability is very important because the defect of the surface requires the rework of the dies that causes a big loss in cost and delivery time. To simulate the reflection line test in the actual production line, a faster generation algorithm is presented. Among., various surface interrogation methods using reflection lines, Blinn-Newell type of reflection mapping is applied to generate reflection lines on the trimmed NURBS surface. The generation of reflection lines is formulated as a surface-plane intersection problem, and solved by surface-contouring techniques. In addition, a modified reflection map is proposed to eliminate the discontinuity of reflection lines due to the configuration of the reflection map. A fast reflection line algorithm is developed utilizing an efficient traced contouring technique, and proved to be well suited for real-time quality-assessment task.

  • This study aims to examine OL as a potential mediating variable in the relationship between IT and organizational performance. Organizational learning (OL) has been proposed as the mechanism to accomplish this task. Existing empirical research demonstrates that OL may indeed act as a mediator for the effect of IT on organizational outcomes. Also, existing literature discusses the use of technology in the organization, and the case for OL as the key knowledge process, and the intersection between technology and OL as a knowledge-based means for improving organizational performance. Many studies use a descriptive measure of OL despite the theory suggesting that a normative measure may be more appropriate. This study aims to address these concerns in a setting by using structural equation modelling (SEM) to compare the effectiveness of descriptive and normative measures of OL as mediating variables in knowledge-intensive organizations. Survey results support OL as a mediator between IT and organizational performance in addition to normative measures of OL outperforming descriptive measures. Implications for research and practice are discussed. To test the model, we will apply (SEM) structural equation modeling in the analysis of a moment structures (AMOS) on the empirical evidence collected from 218 Pakistani CEOs and top managers.

Enhancing seismic performance of ductile moment frames with delayed wire-rope bracing using middle steel plate

  • Moment frames have considerable ductility against cyclic lateral loads and displacements; however, sometimes this feature causes the relative displacement to exceed the permissible limits. This issue can bring unfavorable hysteretic behavior on the frame due to the reduction in the stiffness and resistance against lateral loads. Most of common bracing systems usually control lateral displacements through increasing stiffness while result in decreasing the capacity for energy absorption. This has direct effect on hysteresis curves of moment frames. Therefore, a system that is capable of both having the capacity of energy absorption as well as controlling the displacements without a considerable increase in the stiffness is quite important. This paper investigates retrofitting of a single-storey steel moment frame using a delayed wire-rope bracing system equipped with the ductile middle steel plate. The steel plate is considered at the middle intersection of wire ropes, where it causes cables to be continuously in tension. This integrated system has the advantage of reducing considerable stiffness of the frame compared to cross bracing systems as a result of which it could also preserve the frame's energy absorption capacity. In this paper, FEM models of a delayed wire-rope bracing system equipped by steel plates with different geometries have been studied, validated, and compared with other researchers' laboratory test results.
