  • The purpose of this study is to survey the learning strategies and learning styles of the undergraduates in international e-trade simulation education. The set of learning strategies are investigated and the analysis is made how learning styles could affect the learning strategies. The subjects of this study were 112 undergraduates majored in international trade and their classes were using e-trade simulation. It is found that the undergraduates' learning strategy level is not high because the simulation education is not common yet in e-trade classes. The levels of self-efficacy and positive attitudes have high level whereas the expression strategy has the lowest. Strong results were not found among undergraduates' learning styles by each of the 11 strategies except two cases. One is that the undergraduates who had experiences of e-learning have higher level of social strategy than those of non e-learning experience group. The other is that the more the students spend the time in the simulation class, the more they have positive attitudes. This study supports that the simulation can increase the effectiveness of e-trade learning.

Data was collected from a survey of 200 exporting firms in Gwangju, Korea. The results of the study are as follows ; First, 'international entrepreneurship' are produced a mediating effect when the determinants affect export performance. Second, Resource-based factors and Industry organization factors have a positive impacts on export performance. However, relationship factor as a determinant does not have statistically significant correlation to export performance. Accordingly, in orer to enhance export performance, exporting firms in Korea should try more to prepare for resource-based factors and industry organization factors as determinants. In addition to these, if CEOs of exporting firms are equipped with international entrepreneurship spirits, they can increase the performance of their exporting firms. So they have to manage their exporting firms very strategically so that they can make their firms' export performance better and better.

  • Purpose - Along with emerging international entrepreneurship, there is a need for exploring the influencing mechanism of dual network embeddedness of the host country on international entrepreneurial performance. Drawing on network embeddedness theory and organizational improvisational theory, the present study constructs a theoretical model regarding the logic relationships between the dual network embeddedness of the host country, organizational improvisational capability, and international entrepreneurial performance. Design/methodology - Using a questionnaire survey, our study conducted data in two ways. The final research sample comprised 129 international new ventures. To test the hypotheses, a three-step mediation test method was conducted. Findings - Our empirical results suggested that both host-country social network embeddedness and industrial network embeddedness significantly affected the international entrepreneurial performance. Organizational improvisational capability significantly affected the international entrepreneurial performance. Third, organizational improvisational capability partially played mediating role in the relationship between the dual network embeddedness of the host country and international entrepreneurial performance. Originality/value - This study mainly concentrates on the two important types of host-country networks, host-country social network embeddedness and industrial network embeddedness, that may help international new ventures access the strategic resources necessary to support performance. Thus, it extends the existing network embeddedness theory and improvisational theory to encompass international entrepreneurship.

Researchers inherited and developed based on previous research to focus on analyzing and evaluating dynamics, measuring Logistics capabilities, and the factors affecting Logistics capabilities for Logistics Service Providers. The logistics capabilities Model is used based on three factors: customer demand management capability, innovation capability, and information management capability. The empirical analysis used data from the survey data of l90 managers of Logistics Service Providers in Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue, Hanoi with reliable tools (SPSS 26.0 software). The data were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, means, Pearson's Linear Correlation Coefficient, exploratory factor analysis, and multi-linear regression model based on the survey data. The research results identified the following factors affecting Logistics capabilities for Logistics Service Providers: innovation capability has the strongest impact on Logistics capabilities; customer demand management capability has the following strong effects on Logistics capabilities; and finally, information management capability that affects Logistics capabilities. There is also a positive relationship between all factors and Logistics capabilities. Several recommendations are further suggested to enhance to improve Logistics capabilities for Logistics Service Providers in Vietnam.

  • In this study, the use survey of domestic and international weather information on coastal regions and the demand survey (e.g. general and in-depth surveys) for customer needs with coastal industries were carried out to design customized coastal weather contents. The general demand survey showed that most of the customers working in the coastal industries were interested in a short-term forecast, such as a general weather outlook (approximately 29% of the total respondents) and typhoon information (19%), and they preferred to be given the forecast information from new media such as the internet web-pages (36%) and mobile utilities (23%) rather than old media such as TV (16%) and radio (11%). In addition, only 31% of the total respondents were found to be satisfied with the use of the current coastal weather service. This low percentage might mainly be a result of lack of information accuracy (about 64%) and diversity (28%). From in-depth survey with site visiting, the need of coastal weather contents, such as weather elements, data form, a tool of communication, and forecast interval, differed with the working stages in three coastal industries (e.g. shipbuilding, maritime trade, and passenger transport industries).

  • Viet Nam is a country with the highest rate of adult male smokers in the world. In 2010, the percentage of adult male smokers was 47.4%. Each year in Viet Nam, there are 40,000 lives lost from tobacco-related diseases. The Global Tobacco Youth Survey is an international standardized survey that has been conducted in more than 140 countries. To provide evidence for tobacco control, Viet Nam already conducted two rounds of GYTS in 2003 and 2007. The GYTS in 2014 is the survey's third iteration. This paper aims to document key methodological details and socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents included in the 2014 GYTS in Viet Nam. This survey followed international protocol and was conducted in 13 provinces representative of 6 geographical regions. A total of 3,430 school children, aged 13 to 15 years used a standardized answer sheet to answer 76 questions about seven tobacco-related topics, including prevalence of tobacco use, environmental tobacco smoke, access and availability, media and advertisement, cessation, knowledge and attitudes, tobacco-related school curriculum. This GYTS provides valid and reliable data for monitoring tobacco use among youth in Vietnam and is recommended to be regularly repeated.
