  • Objectives: The Korean Working Conditions Survey(KWCS), which has been conducted five times over the past 13 years, presents a diverse picture of Korean workers across occupations, genders, and age groups. This study summarized the use of KWCS and explored how to make the most of the KWCS by reviewing published peer-reviewed journal articles employing the KWCS data. Methods: Articles were selected in accordance with PRISMA protocol for a systematic literature review. A total of 155 articles were included in this review. Results: The number of articles utilizing KWCS data has been increasing by year. The articles were published in 40 Korean journals and 16 international journals. The journals were mainly in the field of occupational safety and health and sociology. Keywords of mental health, working conditions survey, workforce, health, exposure to risk factor, and working time were mainly highlighted. The articles were grouped by the goals of the KWCS as stated in the survey. The majority of published articles(129 articles, 83%) aimed to 'analyze relationships between different aspects of working conditions'. Fifteen articles(10%) were intended to 'identify groups at risk and issues of concern.' The number of articles to 'monitor trends' were limited. Conclusions: The findings underline the limited utilization of the KWCS. Attention to the range and scope of utilization of KWCS should be developed to address current challenges in occupational health and safety management and policy issues.

  • It is believed to have the international competitiveness of the domestic petrochemical in conjunction with the production of high value-added new product and variety of application by supercritical fluid process and the reaction of infusible/insoluble plastic wastes recycling. In this article, the patents and papers for the recycling of organic residues from the plastic wastes using supercritical fluids were collected and analyzed. The open patents of USA (US), European Union (EP), Japan (JP), and Korea (KR) and SCI journals from 1993 to 2012 were investigated. The patents and journals were collected using key-words and filtered by the definition of the technology. • The fashion industry is facing numerous sustainability-related challenges due to growing consciousness about the egregious extent of global environmental problems. This study examines research trends on sustainable fashion based on five macro trends related to sustainable innovation in the fashion industry. Using the content analysis and network analysis methods, 115 research papers published in domestic and international journals from 2017 to 2021 were collected and analyzed. The study conclusions are as follows. First, majority of domestic papers(55.41%) focused on circular economy, whereas other topics such as consumer awareness(1.35%) and corporate social responsibility(2.70%), are yet to be thoroughly examined; majority of international papers(53.65%) focused on sharing economy and collaborative consumption, whereas other topics such as technological innovation(2.44%), are yet to be thoroughly examined. Second, domestic papers have found that many brands(68.57%) are applying the concept of circular economy, whereas international papers have found that many brands(51.56%) are applying the concept of sharing economy and collaborative consumption. The study results provide useful data for corporate management in the fashion industry.

  • Background: The reoccurrence of occupational accidents in Sudan is evidence of a lack of effective Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) governance in Sudan. Methods: This scope review research articles on OSH governance in Sudan from different sources, including international websites, official government websites, original research articles in journals, and various reports. The five stages of the scoping review followed in this study are: identifying the research question; identifying relevant studies; study selection; charting the data; collating, summarizing, and reporting the results. Results: There is numerous legislation in place; however, there is no evidence of their enforcement, and no formal bodies at the national level are identified as being responsible for their enforcement. Conclusion: Having multiple authorities with overlapping responsibilities hinders OSH governance. An integrated governance model is proposed to eliminate overlapping duties and to facilitate the participation of all stakeholders in the governance process.

  • Background The number of citations that a published article has received reflects the importance of the paper in the particular area of practice. In microsurgery, thus far, which journal articles are cited most frequently is unknown. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the characteristics of the top 50 papers in the field of microsurgery in the plastic surgery literature. Methods The 50 most cited papers published in high impact plastic surgery and microsurgery journals were identified. The articles were ranked in the order of the number of citations received. These 50 classic papers were analyzed for article type, journal distribution, and geographic and institutional origin. Results Six international journals contributed to the top 50 papers in microsurgery. The most cited paper reported on the early use of the vascularized bone graft and was cited 116 times. The top 50 papers originated from just 10 countries with the United States producing the most. The Preston and Northcote Community Hospital, Melbourne published 5 papers and this was the most productive institution in the top 50. Conclusions These papers represent many important milestones in the relatively short history of microsurgery. Furthermore, our citation analysis provides useful information to budding authors as to what makes a paper attain a "classic" status.

  • Objectives : Nocturnal enuresis is one of common disorders in children. However, there are not a lot of researches going on about this disease, and also standardized criteria for analyzing were insufficient in Korea. Therefore, clinical researches were not in the confidence level. Methods : Korean journals which were published in 1990 to 2006, and online journals about nocturnal enuresis were used for analyzing based on outcome criteria. Results : The International Children's Continence Society and the World Health Organization have published outcome criteria about nocturnal enuresis, but different, often idiosyncratic, outcome criteria and/or definitions have been adopted in published research on treatment for nocturnal enuresis in recent years. But a new set of criteria suggested by Butler, Robinson, and et. al. referred to as a "dryness scale", which focuses on the percentage of dry nights accomplished at a point in time, will be an alternative proposal. These criteria will be of help to make standardized and proper outcome criteria in oriental medical studies. Conclusions : Agreed standardized outcome criteria in nocturnal enuresis treatment is needed.
