  • We have designed the power supply of an 120W $CO_2$ Laser for non-metal material processings. High voltage is automatically controlled by means of thyristor triggered phase control. Pulse and C.W. mode are selectively generated by means of discharge current control. It is possible to interface this system with other Numerical Controller. Also, safety interlock circuit is incorporated in this system.

What is not construing in this study, do safety in a semiconductor industry to do improvement. Control human error analyzes in human control with and considers mechanical element and several elements. Also, apply achievement factor using O'conner Model by control method of human error. In analyze by failure mode effect using actuality example.

  • IEC 61850 based substation automation system is operating with Generic Object Oriented Substation Event message when an IED need to send an important signal to other IEDs or receive the signals from another IED such as trip and interlock. So interoperability of substation automation system may be assured throughout the verification of IED GOOSE. This paper shows a testing contents for GOOSE subscription and publish of IEC 61850 based IED and describes how to analysis the result of GOOSE testing. Now domestic IED completed by GOOSE test of this study are working in KEPCO test field.

  • Cascading failure is the main cause of large blackouts in electrical power systems; this paper analyzes a cascading failure in Hanbit nuclear power plant unit two (2) caused by a circuit breaker (CB) operation failure. This malfunction has been expanded to the loss of offsite power (LOOP). In this study, current practices are reviewed and then the methodologies of how to prevent cascading failures in protection power systems are introduced. An overview on the implementation of IEC61850 GOOSE messaging-based zone selective interlocking (ZSI) scheme as key solution is proposed. In consideration of ZSI blocking time, all influencing factors such as circuit breaker opening time, relay I/O response time and messages travelling time in the communication network should be taken into account. The purpose of this paper is to elaborate on the effect of cascading failure in NPP electrical power protection system and propose preventive actions for this failures. Finally, the expected advantages and challenges are elaborated.

  • The cryogenic system of RAON which is Korea's first heavy ion accelerator was numerically modeled and simulated. EcosimPro which is widely used off-the-shelf numerical software for a large scale cryogenic system was used for the simulation. The model of SRF TF cryogenic system, which is the testbed of cryomodule, was firstly established. The integrity of system of SRF TF was confirmed by comparison of simulation and experimental results. The cool-down strategy to minimize the thermal stress of the cavity was simulated and an optimal strategy was established. In addition, the influence of valve and pump control parameters on the cooling time was investigated, and optimal control parameters were also derived. The cryogenic system of SCL3 that is a low-energy acceleration section including 55 cryomodules, valve boxes, and helium supply lines was also modeled. The soundness of the thermal shield system and interlock system of SCL3 was investigated.

Assessment of the Implementation of a Neutron Measurement System During the Commissioning of the Jordan Research and Training Reactor

  • The Jordan Research and Training Reactor (JRTR) is the first research reactor in Jordan, the commissioning of which is ongoing. The reactor is a 5-MWth, open-pool type, light-water-moderated, and cooled reactor with a heavy water reflector system. The neutron measurement system (NMS) applied to the JRTR employs a wide-range fission chamber that can cover from source range to power range. A high-sensitivity boron trifluoride counter was added to obtain more accurate measurements of the neutron signals and to calibrate the log power signals; the NMS has a major role in the entire commissioning stage. However, few case studies exist concerning the application of the NMS to a research reactor. This study introduces the features of the NMS and the boron trifluoride counter in the JRTR and shares valuable experiences from lessons learned from the system installation to its early commissioning. In particular, the background noise relative to the signal-to-noise ratio and the NMS signal interlock are elaborated. The results of the count rates with the neutron source and the effects of the discriminator threshold are summarized.

  • The control module controlling points has become high-tech. but the introduction of relevant company's inspection intervals and methods, and the adoption of the way which is used in relay interlock system became the cause of a failure by excessive and incorrect maintenance. The Human error in failure recovery process can cause vital accidents including train derailment, the points monitoring system could prevent this problem by monitoring points' operation condition in real time. After conducting the changed inspection intervals that applied the results of the criticality of each failure type, MTBF, MTTR, availability, maintainer's opinion, the work became simplified, and, the failure did not occur for 4 consecutive years in contrast to the previous annual average of 11 failures.

  • 진공기술의 응용과 진공환경의 이용은 더 이상 논하지 않더라도 산업 전반에 그 충요성이 점점 더 커가고 있다. 이러한 여건에도 불구하고 진공율 이용하는 system 개밟의 국산화는 수 입하는 system으$\mid$ 수에 비하여 절대적으로 부족하며, 또한 개발하는 system의 자동화는 거의 이 루어지지 않고 있으며, 자동화된 진공판련 system은 거의 대부분 수입에 의흔하고 있다. 실험 실 규모에서부터 System올 하나하나 개밭하고, 이톨 자동화하는 노력과 일이 진행됨다면 산업 응용에 있어서도 자연스럽게 자동화된 system으$\mid$ 개발이 이루어 질 것이다 .. system 자동화는 상 품수명의 단축과 이에 따른 다품종 소량을 요구하는 시장수요에 대응하고, 인력절감과 고풀짙 화로 생산성 향상의 요구에 대응하기 위하여 필요하다. 본 연 구에 서 는 e-beam evaporator로 evaporation하면 서 ion beam으로 assist하여 thin film율 제 작하는 IBAD vacuum system율 싫 계 및 제 작하고[1,2], PLC[3,떼톨 이 용하여 system 자동화톨 하였다 .. thin film 제작 process는 먼저 기본 진공상태로 만뚫고 난 뒤, e-beam evaporator로 e evaporation하면서 ion beam source로 assist하여 substrate 011 thin film율 제조한다 226;. thin film올 제 조하면서 thickness monitor로 sample의 thickness rate톨 control 하고, sample의 균얼성과 밀착 성을 고려하여 substrate톨 rotation 및 heating 할 수 있도록 싫계, 제작하였다. 양질의 박막올 제조하기 위해서 진공환경이 좋은 상태로 제공되어야 한다. 이톨 위하여 oil free operation 0 I 가 능한 dry pump와 turbo molecular pump로 고진공 배기 하였다. 진공도의 흑점은 thermal effect 툴 고려하여 cold cathode ion gauge률 사용하였고, intro chamber와 main chamber 사이에는 g gate valve톨 설치하여 벌도로 운용되도록 하였다. 이러한 process를 박막의 두께, 진공도, 시 간, 온도, 공정 동의 조건올 기훈으로 자동화한 것이다. 또한 정전과 단수에 대한 interlock 기능 도 고려하였다.하였다.

  • The $ACP^1$ is under development for effective management of spent fuel by converting $UO_2$ into U-metal. For demonstration of this process, $\alpha-\gamma$ type new hotcell was built in the $IMEF^2$ basement. To secure against radiation hazard, this facility needs radiation monitoring system which will observe the entire operating area before the hotcell and service area at back of it. This system consists of 7 parts; Area Monitor for $\gamma$-ray, Room Air Monitor for particulate and iodine in both area, Hotcell Monitor for hotcell inside high radiation and rear door interlock, Duct Monitor for particulate of outlet ventilation, Iodine Monitor for iodine of outlet duct, CCTV for watching workers and material movement, Server for management of whole monitoring system. After installation and test of this, radiation monitoring system will be expected to assist the successful ACP demonstration.

  • As the highly complex and precise control functions are required in modern industrial process control system, the complex function models and developed in each hardware and software of PLC. The SFC graphical language is very powerful for describing the sequential logic control algorithm, on the other hand it graphical language is very powerful for describing the sequential logic control algorithm, on the other hand it has problems in describing the interlock logic control algorithm, such as error management algorithm. In this paper, we propose the efficient error management method using the action qualifiers to design the error management algorithm in industrial process control system described scheme, we realize the error management logic in process control system of film coating machine.From the experiment results, we confirm that the proposed scheme is very useful in aspects to realize easily th error management logic and to reduce the memory capacity for user's program.
